About Boundless Behavioral Health

Boundless Behavioral Health is a consortium of private, nonprofit clinics with offices in Worthington, Ohio. Previously known as Franklin County Residential Services, the organization has served Ohioans since 1980.

They offer a range of mental and behavioral health services, including addiction treatment and dual diagnosis care. If you’re grappling with substance use disorder alongside neurodivergence or a second mental illness, such as anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, or borderline personality disorder, this center may be a good place to work on your recovery.

Whole Person Care to Help you Reach Your Full Potential

The belief that everyone deserves respect, love, and compassion is central to the Boundless Behavioral Health ethos. The caring, competent team at this CARF accredited facility aims to give people the skills and confidence to take charge of their lives and forge bright, fulfilling futures.

They treat everyone with dignity and see people for who they are instead of focusing on their illnesses or mistakes. I love that they take such a holistic, positive approach to care and aim to help people become their best and happiest selves.

Comprehensive and Convenient Treatments

At Boundless Behavioral Health, you can receive many different services under one roof, including primary care, counseling, and case management. I really like that since it helps to ensure good communication and coordination between multiple members of a person’s healthcare team.

While in long term drug or alcohol rehab, you may need to work with multiple different providers, so this can really help to streamline the process. I also think it’s fantastic that this facility offers telehealth services. If going in person to the Worthington clinic is difficult for you, you can instead attend appointments from the comfort of home.

Dr. Ripsin wouldn't refer me to a cardiologist or write me an order for an echo despite having chest pain for over a year. This was my 2nd time coming in to see her about this, and I was really hoping that she would be able to help me. At the end of my visit, I took my phone out to write a note down, and she said "you're on your phone I'm leaving" and walked out of the room abruptly. I won't be coming back.

My experience with Cynthia Ripsin is that she condescending and dismissive. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because I had high hopes Boundless Health would be a great thing for the DD community here in Columbus. After my latest interaction with her we are leaving and I would not refer anyone to them. After speaking with other parents of special needs individuals I have learned I am not alone in the experience with her.

Was ok the first visit, they are accommodating when waiting to be seen. However, Dr. Cynthia was very dismissive of getting blood work for my son as he was fighting getting blood drawn. Did not make a referral to another lab and simply stated he is too old now....... we will not be coming back for Dr. Cynthia.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Weekly I bring my grandson, who is autistic, to speech therapy at Boundless. He also is a patient of Dr Ripsen's for his physical health needs. He is always treated with care and respect by both departments. It starts at check in and continues till we leave. He looks forward to his visits and has made tremendous progress in his speech. That itself gives him more freedom from the barrier autism creates. Dr Ripsen listens to him and is sensitive to any tactile issues he has. He says, "She's a good girl!". I love the people at Boundless. They care about the guy that is so special to me!
