Reviewing a Medicaid approved facility can be a challenge. Is it perfect? Does it hold up to how I run my own home? Would I personally choose to live there? All no. But here’s the thing, when someone you deeply care about finds themselves unable to care for themselves and has no one to take them in, what matters changes.
Our dear friend of 50+ years has advanced dementia and nowhere to go. He has no heirs and his money was lost in the year he lost his way. He now resides at Cambridge and is getting the kind of care that I could only have hoped for with his Medicaid status.
The staff have been so kind, caring and sensitive. Any concerns are dealt with in a timely manner. They communicate with us to resolve any issues they have. He looks healthy, is eating well, is participating in activities and is obviously happy.
