About Invigorate Behavioral Health

Invigorate Behavioral Health is located on North Mariposa Avenue in metropolitan Los Angeles, California. Invigorate is a modern, home-like facility with spacious, bright and airy living quarters and communal gathering spaces. They offer inpatient treatment, detox and stabilization, therapy services and counseling on-site, with referrals provided to offsite facilities and community programs. They assist clients with recovery from substance abuse disorders and mental health issues.

Home-Like Modern Setting Provides 24/7 Supervised Care

When you first arrive at Invigorate for intake, the staff treats your withdrawal symptoms with medication-assisted treatment like Suboxone or Ativan or Valium. That’s to help in managing your pain and your withdrawal.

They also provide you with therapy and emotional support. They offer 24/7 supervision and mental and medical support during your entire experience. Their home-like setting provides a space for comfort and healing. Their typical detox experience lasts from 3-5 days.

During Stabilization, Counselor Formalize Treatment

While you’re experiencing stabilization, a care provider will work with you on arranging additional treatment care through therapy, counseling and inpatient care at their facility. Staying at Invigorate can alleviate the challenges relating to transitioning into another facility with an unfamiliar care team. Their inpatient approach provides educational workshops, group and individual holistic therapy and counseling and the tools to contribute to independent care and sober-free living.

Follow-up Aftercare Support

Their inpatient care program can last from 28-90 days, depending on the level of care and treatment you may need to get to a desired state of recovery. They fully prepare each client who leaves their facility for a life of sobriety and independent living. However, they are always there to support you should you experience relapse or are faced with a situation or environment that may lead you to relapse.

After years of battling alcoholism, I finally surrendered and flew out to LA from St. Louis, MO to get into recovery. I entered the detox facility on 5/21/2025, graduated to the sober living facility on 6/22/2025 and graduated the IBH program today on 9/18/2025. I had been wanting to live a sober life for years, but I never had the strength to do it by myself. IBH gave me that strength. I learned a lot about my disease here, a lot about what makes me “me,” and I learned how to not only live sober, but also live happy. They say the disease of addiction is a life or death situation. This program helped me save my own life. The friends I’ve made along the way, the community I was immersed in, and how welcoming the staff made me feel has helped me build a strong, healthy foundation for life long sobriety. I’m 120 days sober, and I’m happy to say that I’m part of the IBH family.

Invigorate, I.e not a Dr. is Chris Smalls, and not a Dr. Brandi (SFASUCK) PHDoggie do) and Darren Thumbbut (MMA) run this rehab to help addicts and alchoholics. Run from this place, don’t walk. It’s a miserable daily struggle for our addictions but they top it off with gross negligences to the facilities, and my god, the staff have no credentials and repeatedly tell patients that they have the power to f$ u over. Class example: called “pencil dicks” because left arms are so muscled. Again run from this place.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

Treatments

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. You can expect clinicians to utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you achieve and sustain your recovery. The rehab's clinical team can provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and medical support you may need.

young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

Recreational therapy is included in alcohol and drug addiction treatment to focus on engaging you in healthy activities that reduce your cravings and improve your overall health and well being. When you participate in group sports, art, or nature walks, you develop new interests and find a meaningful way to spend your time and reduce your cravings.

This experience has been a real eye opener to me was able to love and be proud of myself after 22 years and found the lord my god after 25 years of turning my back on him. Yes there was ups and downs the staff needs to work on communication but we all need to work on this. But the group of people and helping me begin this wonderful journey to the rest of my life has been amazing.

This place offers everything you need to get clean, get stable, and get Sober. I had a great experience at invigerate. When I went to invigerate, I questioned if they could provide the help and guidance I needed. They did that and more. I went to IBH with a cry for help and wondering if I could ever quit drinking. - I left IBH confident with my new life long relationship with sobriety. I'm ready to tackle my bills, confront my demons, and take control of my life! You helped me help myself. Thanks IBH.

Invigorate is a wonderful place! The best part about this treatment is not only do you get clean and sober but you also learn the behavior patterns surrounding the disease! What keeps YOU stuck, what makes YOU crave and especially YOUR personal signs and triggers that lead you to relapse! I HIGHLY recommend this excellent recovery and behavioral program! A lot of people don’t understand WHY they get drunk or high but if you dig deep, listen to the instructors and learn the behavior behind YOUR personal destructive actions you WILL begin to understand YOURSELF and get on the road to recovery! The BONUS of all this hard work is that you get to be YOUR REAL SELF, you’ll begin to understand YOUR good and bad behaviors which lead YOU to get drunk and/or high and also understand the places in YOUR life that you stumbled! Best of all, is that this program helps you by giving you LOTS of understanding, concern, laughter and plenty of LOVE!❤️

I'm 22 years old and I had been using for 10 years. This was my first rehab. The staff were so accommodating and everyone including other clients were so welcoming. You learn so much about recovery and yourself as well, if you really put in the effort. I had a great experience.

My experience at Invigorate was challenging and transformative. It began with detox, which was a difficult phase, as my body adjusted to life without substances. However, the supportive and compassionate medical team provided constant support, making the process safe and comfortable. I gained a deep understanding of my addiction, learning about its roots and the tools needed to overcome it. Therapy sessions, group meetings, and holistic approaches helped me rebuild myself. Upon completion of rehab, I felt stronger, more self-aware, and equipped with the skills to maintain a healthier, sober lifestyle. While recovery is a lifelong journey, this experience gave me the foundation I needed to reclaim my life.

Response from the owner
