The Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois (MHCWI) provides emotional, vocational, social, and financial support for community members. They run CARF-accredited community housing, mental health, and substance use disorder treatments as well as community integration.

MHCWI runs community housing for adults over 18 who have a psychiatric disorder and need supportive or supervised living. Residents get support to help them improve their functioning, independent living skills and access any other support they need.

Sterling Apartments is one of 5 furnished facilities with individual apartments. Residents get support from other program participants as well as staff. I like that they get to live as independently as possible while still having access to support.

These are single-bedroom units and because the government subsidies the cost, residents pay lower fees for rent. There may be additional funding sources available to you as well.

Substance use Services for Indiana Residents

MHCWI also provides a range of substance use services for its community members. This includes early and community intervention, driver risk education and DUI evaluations.

I like that they run peer support services for anyone in recovery from mental illness and substance use disorders. Peer supporters offer mentoring, coaching and connections to local community resources. They also lead support and educational groups and advocate for each client.

I was at Quincy where you feel desperate about antisocialising . the doctor has localized my week behaviors , my anxiety changed the doctor's point of view , I tried to explain that a job would keep me going and I could start with hud compensation 104-199. the breakfast at Quincy mental is worth is beyond appreciation .

Amazing helpful understanding staff including directors, physician, nurses, case workers, house workers, managers and therapist. I am blessed beyond words that a hospital case worker in Springfield knew about their residential facility and program and encouraged her application. I'm so grateful that the staff accepted my daughter into their program. After almost one year in the facility the change in my daughters behavior, lifestyle, attitude is 100% improved. Thank you each and every one of you for your passion for your clients.

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment.
