PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW ENTIRELY!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR RECOVERY! I'd like to start off by letting you know that most all of the positive reviews you see on here are probably fake. I asked ChatGPT to analyze the positive google reviews for this location and determine whether it was more likely that the reviews were phony or written honestly by patients based on their actual experience. Here is the response I received: "Based on the public evidence I could find, it’s more likely the reviews for Radar Recovery show signs commonly associated with manipulation (AI/staff/coerced) than a completely organic set of independent Google reviewers." This comes as no surprise to me, since I personally witnessed staff asking to use the google accounts of patients to write reviews. But if you're still unconvinced by this major red flag, I encourage you to read the rest of this review where I do my best to describe my awful experience. Let me guess- you're from out of state and were referred to this location by someone over the phone or from a different facility/institution? Whether or not the person who referred you here means well, I can't say for sure. What I can tell you is that you've been lied to, and that the person who referred you is financially incentivized by this network of rehabs (Flylands) to do so. Despite what you've been told, this facility is ran by a network of predatory, incompetent administrators who see you as a walking bag of money. In the interest of not having this review exceed the word limit, I'll try to be as concise as possible: -You will wear a bluetooth device around your ankle 24/7 (including when sleeping and in the bathroom) that needs to be "scanned" by staff every 15-30 minutes. -You will be frustrated at the low-quality, redundant groups, and the soulless facility (which includes only four sections: patient rooms, the dining room, the group room, and an outdoor patio- over which a plane roars by every 5-10 min) -You will encounter many staff members who are rude and insensitive: a sexual assault survivor, who blew a 0.31 BAC, was told "either sign all of these [documents], or you sleep on the street tonight" after expressing that she felt too intoxicated to comprehend what she was signing; a girl experiencing a panic attack who temporarily calmed down but went back into panic was interrogated by a tech who asked, "what's wrong with you? You were just fine a minute ago!"; a resident who relapsed was yelled at when he returned to group for "triggering other residents" and forced to leave to go to his room -You will encounter a manipulative and vindicative administration if you try to leave early, regardless of your circumstances. I wanted to leave early, but to transfer directly to another facility since I didn't feel comfortable at Radar. However, it took me 8 hours of consistent nagging and effectively threatening to leave to finally get even a monitored call with my parents. In the process, I was sent through the gauntlet of different therapists and administrators, who said awful and condescending things like: "you just want to leave so you can use" or "you're just trying to negotiate with your addiction". Keep in mind I wasn't trying to bail and go to the streets- I merely wanted a direct facility to facility transfer to an environment I felt more comfortable in. Worst of all, they brought my family in, taking advantage of the ROI I signed to try to get them concerned about me relapsing if I went to a different location. I suspect all of this was done just to squeeze as much insurance money out of me as possible. This experience was not unique to me; almost every single resident had a similar story. To the handful of Radar staff members who were diamonds in the rough, advocating for patients and trying to make them as comfortable as possible- thank you. But I cannot write a positive review of this place- or even stay silent about my experience- in good conscience. To fellow people wanting recovery- please avoid this place like the plague.

Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Participants engaged in 12 step programs receive intensive peer coaching (sponsorship) and community support. Spiritual development as a means of achieving psychological and emotional healing and growth is the cornerstone of 12 step recovery, but religious affiliations are not required. Meetings are free, anonymous, and open to the public, though specialized formats are available, including groups for seniors, teens, and family members. Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.

During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.

Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.

Treatments

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

The goal of creative arts therapy in California is to encourage growth and transformation. It can be used in individual and group settings with both children and adults. Options include movement, music, and painting.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you want to recover do not go here they set you up for failure and pressure you to get on a plane to send you home while you are in the hospital for a stroke and then never contact you again to make sure you are okay…. Except for one time to ask you to change your review.

Response from the owner
Hi Shelby,

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback though it is not the feedback we anticipate receiving. We would like to look into this matter further if you could please contact our corporate office by emailing info@flyland.com.
