About Zinnia Health Lake Okeechobee

Their facilities include a gym and several relaxing outdoor spaces. The bedrooms are comfortable and come with a smart TV and PlayStation 4 for residents to unwind with after a long day of treatment. Nature walks and outdoor activities add some healthy relaxation.

Their treatment programs consist of three main pillars of care: detox, rehabilitation, and aftercare.

The detox stage typically lasts for 10-14 days for drug use and 5-7 days for alcohol use, but this can vary from person to person. This process focuses on removing substances from the body and teaching your body how to function without substances. Medications like methadone and naltrexone may be used to manage withdrawal symptoms and keep your body stable as it adjusts to a lack of substances.

During rehabilitation, treatment focuses on developing new life skills to stay sober. Whether in an outpatient or inpatient program, you’ll attend individual and group therapy sessions to develop these skills and get to the root of mental health concerns that contribute to substance use. They also offer experiential therapy modalities, like yoga, art therapy, and equine-assisted psychotherapy.

During aftercare planning, the team will work with you to outline actionable steps that help you stay sober. They’ll help connect you to alumni support groups and sober housing if needed.

Something I liked about Zinnia Health is that they help people seek out treatment for their loved ones. They provide tailored support for anyone affected by a loved one’s substance use, including intervention services and support through the admission process.

Pattern of Misrepresentation and Malpractice: Just about every individual who arrived at that facility was deceived in one way or another from the very beginning. We were each told false or misleading information—promises deliberately crafted to persuade us to enroll or remain there. These misrepresentations were not isolated incidents; they reflected a consistent pattern of deceptive conduct designed to profit from vulnerable individuals seeking genuine medical care. The staff and administration knowingly used false claims regarding their services, treatment capabilities, and program structure to induce participation. This systematic dishonesty caused significant harm to those of us who relied on their assurances in good faith. As for my case, their gross negligence and failure to distinguish between medical dependency and substance abuse constituted malpractice and directly worsened my medical condition. That is why I am filing a lawsuit against them for their malpractice and the damages I sustained as a result. It is my sincere hope that taking this action will help protect others from suffering through the same mistreatment in the future.

The staff great the food was great the only issue when the people over the phone tell you this place is on the ⛱️ Beach it's a lie. That's their other location. If they say nature walk that's a lie well not really get ready for the influx of baby Godzilla in your room. If they say a pool is an inflatable pool. Just know they lie about the amenities. Other than that this staff is nice good was great. It looks like the Bates motel.

Accepted Insurance

Zinnia Health Lake Okeechobee works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Clinical Services

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

Individual therapy often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is a structured approach to identifying and changing negative thought patterns. During therapy you learn how what you think drives your actions so you can develop healthier coping strategies to manage addiction triggers and reduce drug use.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

Don’t trust Barbara if she’s still there. Not a good psychiatrist and can’t treat mental health issues. Bipolar 1 or 2 is unfortunately not a mental health disorder you can diagnose and medicate within 2 hours of meeting a person. Highly unprofessional and very traumatizing on top of what had already brought me there in the first place. Seems like the place had high enough turnover that if somebody like ME was a problem person she’s probably been chewed up and spit out by this point. Disappointing. Liked the therapist though even though she was a psychiatrist defender and was just trying to save the company’s heiny. I ultimately received nothing from the mental health professionals here; the peers also in recovery around you are what encourage you to do your healing. For the $80,000 they charge your insurance to come here, they just play you meditation youtube videos and make you do kindergarten activities all day. Don’t go if you’re not recovering from addiction - carelessly placed there for mental health issues knowing I was not in recovery for addiction and too vulnerable to know I could say no. They also make it extremely difficult to say no, so they’re honestly a little gaslighty. Red flag. I’d say don’t go if there are any individualized problems you have that could put you in danger, they will not consider those issues.
