First time getting blood drawn at this hospital. Was not difficult to find. Walked in and was greeted right away by a friendly gentleman who showed me where I needed to go. Registration was quick. Walked into the outpatient lab and got taken back immediately. She was quiet but kind and efficient and the blood draw was done before I knew it. In and out in less than 10 minutes!

Not looking to spark political debate but be weary my fellows who sense something nefarious with the covid swab testing. This place is still forcing this on people when, truthfully, I haven't heard of a documented case in years. I haven't even seen testing in years and those that do use the temperature gun. Even if it was at the door I might understand, but I had already walked all through the building before they did the test before being shipped off to another facility where no such testing is required. Theoretically, if I really was positive wouldn't I have already spread it throughout the building prior to test? One of the nurses darted into the room and the q tip was in my nose in under a second flat. Something very sinister about this place and how this was carried out.

I just went to this emergency room last night after getting severe 2nd degree boiling oil burns. The nurses from the start were awfully mean. I was in severe pain, they made me sit in a room in the back for 30 minutes and when my friend who was with me went to check what was going on, because i was inconsolably sobbing in pain i couldn’t barely breathe, a nurse yelled at my friend to stay in the room, that i needed to calm down, and said that “hospitals don’t work like that” when my friend asked when i would get some pain medication, she then said the doctors were busy with real life threatening emergencies. All that time the nurse had a horrible attitude like it was an inconvenience to her. She gave me a cool rag and made me put it on my burns instead of her helping me. They refused to let my mom come see me in the back until i asked the actual doctors. Nobody once cleaned my burns, so there’s probably still oil on them. The nurse who applied burn ointment, did my IV, applied my bandages never wore gloves, and left all the trash from the IV and bandages on my med, she also put the sticky plastic part of the bandage right on top of my worst burn. Although my experience was awful with the nurses, the doctors were very nice and explained treatment to me and actually listened to me unlike the nurses.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Pennsylvania can be helpful to individuals who are experiencing substance use disorder and various mental health conditions. It helps you identify damaging thought and behavior patterns and replace them with healthy ones.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Pennsylvania is an evidence based technique that involves group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching. Group sessions focus on learning behavioral skills. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your personal situations. Phone coaching allows you to call your therapist during the week for help with challenging situations.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational interviewing in Pennsylvania gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and explore your ideas and motivation for change. Your therapist will walk you through the four steps of engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to empower you to make any desired changes in your life.

It is important to process the impact that traumatic experiences have had on your life. During trauma therapy, you and an experienced therapist confront these experiences and the emotional impact it is had. This helps to reduce your symptoms of stress and anxiety and improve your overall mental health and well being.

Couples therapy in Pennsylvania is typically short term treatment that focuses on building skills that lead to positive long term relationship changes. Sessions with the therapist may occur both jointly and individually.

Family therapy teaches individual family members in Pennsylvania the benefits of collectively combating addiction. Therapists help individual members establish healthy boundaries between themselves and their loved one who is struggling with addiction. This helps improve emotional support systems and creates a bond so families work together to sustain long term recovery.

Life skills are the mental and social skills that are necessary to navigate day to day life. Addiction diminishes or eliminates these skills, so they must be relearned and practiced during drug rehab treatment in Pennsylvania.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Incorporating recreational therapy into drug and alcohol addiction programs in Pennsylvania helps you rebuild your life and maintain sobriety by discovering new interests and developing healthy coping mechanisms. Recreational activities can include painting, team sports, and hiking to promote physical and mental health.

My Mother had a CT Scan today done at this hospital today. To see if she has Alzheimer. Now I cant begin to imagine what's she's going through! Or any one faced with this! The (PEOPLE) who run these scans are not Doctors! And are (NOT) to tell the patient getting the CT Scan there (OPINION) for the obvious reasons! But today this person comes out yelling at my mother and telling her stuff like... NO MORE DRIVING BECAUSE YOU WILL KILL SOMEONE AND ECT!!! I'm (NOT) arguing the point rather she should drive or not. (IF) She has Alzheimer then yes she shouldn't drive! I'm complaining about this person not staying in there PAY GRADE/ and ACTUALL Position they have and the horrible bed side manner! My Mother is already in a horrible mental state w/a pending Alzheimer test and results pending! Then to have a Hospital Worker (HALLER) at you like you have committed some crime or something awful! She's been home crying her eyes out going on 2hrs now! Imagine if some one treated your Mother so Horribly! I want stop untill this person is at the very least reprimanded! Its a Saturday obviously. I did call the Hospital and talked to some nice lady who answered the call. Told her the story. She didn't seem shocked. But agreed that was wrong! She then transferred the call to the CT Scan department, Again no shock there was no one to answer the call or even an option to leave a message! But you can bank on me not letting this go IRMC!!! UPDATE: 10/13/25 My Mother got the results today and it is all (GOOD) there is no sign of anything a wrong with her brain!! Making what this TECH said to here even more horrible!!! And exactly why TECHS are not to say anything to the patient about what they (THINK) and leave the Doctor talk to the Doctors!!! I reached out to this department today (AGAIN) and talk to a lady who refused to give me the supervisors information of this department. But instead claimed would fwd my information to the supervisor and she willl call me back. Kind of makes me think they do this stuff all the time! Why be all secretive about the Supervisors name and ect?

These hospitals just seem to be getting so much worse over time.. and IRMC gets a 0 rating over this way. I woke up yesterday around 8am with swelling on my forehead from an allergic reaction, went to urgent care around 10-11am because the swelling was getting worse, got a steroid shot right there, and got steroid pills to start today. The swelling now had gotten so bad to the point it traveled from my forehead to my temples, cheeks, and eyes to the point they’re starting to swell shut- urgent care advised me to go to the ER if it changed drastically, WHICH DID! I went to the ER (IRMC) at 9pm yesterday, got into a room at 11:40pm, and I had to ring my bell to get someone to even come just TALK to me at 1:00am. She took my blood pressure, ask me what happened, left the medical shit on me she used, and again I sat alone and in my room again until 3:00am. They finally sent a guy in and he told me there’s nothing they could do for me because, i already had a shot many hours before and i just needed to take benadryl or pepcid properly. Let me add that my eyes alone swelled to that extreme within the time period I was there, no one checked on me the entire time, nothing. I’m not usually a rude or angry person, and I have a pretty good understanding on certain things but, to do the things they do to people is not okay. Even if someone’s being silly coming into the ER with an easy fix, or someone in major condition- you should treat everybody with the same compassion, respect, and care!!!

I signed myself out even tho I needed a pace maker put in. The staff assumed that I had drugs in my purse. In the morning of sep 9th I was worried about what was going to happen when I got my pace maker in place. I was scared and anxious so the nurse gave me ativan thru my iv to try and calm me down. Which it did so I fell asleep. Worst mistake was feeling that I was safe enough to fall asleep. I was woken up with a nurse a 2 security guards at my bedside. The nurse said that I was acting differently since the morning and security wanted to search my purse for drugs. I let them search it cuz I knew I didn't have any drugs on me. This is the 2nd time I went to irmc and the security searched my belongings. The nurse then tried to convince me to stay after that ridiculous incident. I told her no I'm leaving and nothing is going to change my mind. I felt embarrassed and couldn't believe the bullshit they've done to me. They didn't find any drugs on or in my stuff. Ill never go back to that place.

I had an anxiety attack which was bad. Went to IRMC hospital. ER was empty. I was taken down a long darker hallway in a room that led to the bare and small room. Cold. No care had been give. I lay there waiting and 40 minutes later my husband and I decided we needed to leave. Why? I needed emergency care! Where was everyone? What if I had another episode? No sympathy at all from anyone. Nobody felt they needed to check on me??? And a tiny box bare bathroom. It was depressing enough let alone these rooms! And dirty. If there are silverfish in a hospital wash room, getting out that’s disgusting. I’ll never go there again. I’m l spreading my story so others know what to expect there. Complete lack of care. Probably won’t change.

I want to share my experience to the ER of the Indiana regional medical Center. From the beginning when I was entering The ER I was having trouble getting my brother to the door. A staff person rushed out with a wheelchair to help us both in. The triage nurses were both very professional and kind and dealing with me and my brother. When we were taken back to the examination room, the ER nurse was very compassionate towards my brother. He answered all his questions took extreme care and provided excellent treatment. We never felt rushed and made sure my brother was comfortable and understood what needed to be done. The physician assistant was also very compassionate and kind, and answered all our questions and provided the proper treatment. The ER doctor also was very thorough and took his time and answered our questions. I wish again I could thank them all individually. Everyone in the ER were incredible. They showed true dedication to their field and are the best.
