My experience with 3 counselors over 3 years was wonderful. It has been a much more personal experience, a give and take that was different from past places. With 2 of them they had been previous addicts, but all have had wisdom and encouragement. At other places it was just be me telling my life story and them bieng very gaurded about any personal details which made it less likely for me to be totally honest and not make progress in the counseling sessions. . The nurses are very kindly people as well and, unlike other clincs will accommodate me as a 40 year old man they will find another man to supervise the urinalysis instead of making me pee with a beautiful young nurse standing next to me, which I feel is inappropriate. I can say everyone is very friendly since a surly old bird of a nurse left 2 yrs ago. Maybe I just have an exceptionally good attitude or drank too much of the syzurp, but I feel if you put forth any effort in your recovery, these people will more than meet you halfway. You can improve yourself, pursue your dreams and goals or dream life away, at the Jtwn methadone clinic, you decide. everydays a blast! So come join the party today! The ER wasn't busy and I was registered , went to Triage and then to a room. I barely sat on the bed and it was time to go for x-rays. Got back to the bed and maybe 5 minutes later they had the results and yes I was right I broke my foot. The Dr. fitted me with a boot and then gave me the boot lol. I just wanted to toss out a few shout outs to the people who made a huge impact and made me feel as comfortable as possible. Firstly, I didn’t have a negative experience with any staff during my stay. Everyone was great. But when I was in the ER, on 3/17 Cody, one of the registered nurses was phenomenal. He got an IV in, first stick. Which for how much difficulty other people have had in the past is impressive. But most importantly it never caused me discomfort the entire time it was in. When I moved up to floor 6 at the end of 3/17 start of 3/18 I had an RN named Liz. She made me laugh and made it feel like I was just talking to a friend. This is for sure her true calling and I regret that I wasn’t able to thank her directly for how comfortable she made me feel in a terrifying situation. I also want to thank Michael who was one of my OR nurses on 3/18. He was fun and had me laughing and again, it made the nervousness go away. Lastly I want to thank Dr. Sharma. For me to request my Doctor to ask discharge questions and for them to send the Interim Medical Director because my Doctor wasn’t available right away I think speaks volumes about the hospital itself, and Dr. Sharma. He was very relaxed, had a great sense of humor, and welcomed any questions I had. He went in full detail if there was something I didn’t quite understand. Full 5 stars for this visit. Maybe half a star revoked verbally just cause one sugar and one cream with your coffee is nowhere near enough and seems like a sin, but I’ll let it slide cause of the phenomenal care I received. The staff is pleasant, and check-in was seamless. I appreciated that they try to make the space kid-friendly; there’s a TV with cartoons and a small coloring station. It’s a bit modest (the TV is small/mounted high and the coloring table is simple), but the effort is there. We actually donated some extra crayons today to help out! Overall, it’s very clean and the people are great. It took a bit to work out medications, but it takes time y'know? They're not gonna know right away the meds you need. They're always really quick to pick up the phone when I call to make appointments which is really nice because then I don't have to play phone tag. The first therapist I had was amazing, she was really nice and very easy to talk to, and my current one is also great! I was very weary of having a male therapist at first, but he made me feel comfortable and is very easy to talk to! Although, I do have a complaint about the inpatient services. I went once for an evaluation and I was there for FOUR HOURS. I had to tell my story to 4 different nurses, and the evalution itself was 3 hours long. After being there for that long and going through the ENTIRE PROCESS, they told there were no beds avaliable, and no discharges in the morning, meaning that I couldn't go to a room after someone got discharged, but we were fully welcome to stay in the concrete cellar we were currently in. Or, we could go to another hospital that was 3hrs away that did have an opening. We went home. I didn't want to because I needed help because I literally just tried to off myself, but my mom didn't want to drive 3hrs to come see me. Couldn't you have told us there were no beds BEFORE the 3 hour long evaluation?? I think that the outpatient services are outstanding, but I don't have a good experience with the inpatient services and I don't recommend them. Even if you're not clean and you're just trying to get there and you're brand new at it Jade is the place for you I can't think of a situation good or bad that Jade would not be as helpful as they possibly can be. I just know so many successful people that have come from Jade in their recovery they've just gotten very far to whenever they first started it Jade didn't even have a place to live. I feel like Jane is always went above and beyond but you know they needed to. The fact that pretty much any time of night or day if you have to get a hold of someone in an emergency you can- it is not like that it all other facilities that I've been to. Jade is the only outpatient facility that I have went to and trust me I went to a lot of them that actually care. It's super sad because I've been with Jade for such a long time. I will miss Kristen forever and this is super hard to move on but I would recommend Jade over any other rehab facility in the world and if you are a patient at Jade you are lucky to be there and you should take advantage of everything that they have to offer because it's such a great facility and they truly do care. I wish all the staff yhe best and thank you for how far I have come thanks to you guys and to know you truly make a huge difference.
