They have saved my life and they keep me going!!! They are my # 1 fans and would go to battle for me if they had to BUT YOU GOTTA DO THE WORK AS WELL!!! You can’t expect them to stay clean for you…lol…doesn’t work that way!!! So if you’re looking for a good place to try medicated treatment then Medmark should be where ya start!!! Alyssa is absolutely amazing and has a heart of gold that she wears on her sleeve…if you need anything all u gotta do is call her…if she doesn’t answer all ya gotta do is leave her a message and she will for sure get back to ya…she has truly saved my life and doesn’t even realize it!! She never takes the credit she deserves!! She always has my back and would fight for me in a second!!! I’m so glad I was able to get her as my counselor!!! She’s my #1 fan and is always rooting for me!!! Without her idk where I would be!! Thank you Alyssa and Medmark for helping me continue in my sobriety journey!!! April has been my counselor for almost 2 yrs. I have always been able to be very open and honest with her, without any sort of judgment. When it comes to addiction, people always do judge. But not her. That's just who she is. The nurses, I feel like they are judgemental. Whether it's our session, me just venting, or me needing someone to talk to. April has always been there. I can't show enough appreciation. I always feel better when we hang up Thanks April for all you do for me.

Twenty years ago, I went through a crisis involving addiction that had catastrophic implications for my family. While my loved one was at a nationally acclaimed residential treatment program, and I had confidence he was getting the help he needed, I felt lost, alone, left out, ignored, and in the dark. I had almost no communication with my loved one or his therapists. I remember going to an in-person educational seminar at the facility, where we learned about addiction, but had no personalized information about our person or situation. Now I’m walking this journey with my daughter, whose loved one is in residential treatment at DreamLife. At intake, she was given a packet of information that included links to family sessions that were held over Zoom six times a week for a total of 10+ hours! We both jumped in the first week, and even in the early days of this crisis, when we were emotionally reeling, we felt seen, known, informed, cared about, communicated with, and supported. Some classes are led by a recovered addict, who gives us an understanding of what life is like for an addict, how they think, and what their early recovery journey will look like, including how they might push buttons or manipulate their family members in ways that are counterproductive to their recovery. Others are led by the mother of an addict, who sensitively helps families understand the emotions and situations that we are thrust into, and how our well-intentioned efforts might sabotage their progress. Both have the objective of helping us to understand how our behavior contributes to enabling addiction, and to give us the skills and knowledge that will strengthen our resolve and ability to be healthy ourselves, and stop being naive participants in the circus of addiction. The family program at DreamLife is remarkable. The instructors are knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate when lecturing, and attentive, compassionate, kind, and wise when applying the principles to individual questions and situations presented by family members. The classes have a rotating ‘membership’ as there is always a mix of people who have just arrived and people whose loved ones are ready to come home or move to the next step in treatment. This creates a dynamic much like an Al Anon meeting, where we all benefit from hearing the facilitator talk about a particular client’s situation with their family, as well as learning insights from each other as family members jump in to share their own experiences. It also gives a very real sense that we are not alone, and even though we may never meet any of our fellow participants in the Zoom sessions in real life, we feel seen and supported by them. If you have a loved one at DreamLife and you have not taken advantage of the Family Sessions, then you are missing out. Anyone who loves an addict who is or has been at DreamLife is welcome. My daughter is learning how to live with her loved one in a way that supports his recovery and acknowledges that she has her own recovery journey, too. Living thousands of miles away, I am learning how to support my daughter. Without the opportunity to attend, I might feel helpless, and I would be ignorant about the disease of addiction and what it takes to commit to recovery. I might feel angry, rather than compassionate, as the behaviors that can look like willful, selfish, moral failures are actually symptoms of a neurologic disease that overrides the ability to live a deliberate, purposeful life. It appears that very few of the residents have a family member attending the sessions that we have found invaluable. This is such a lost opportunity to learn about addiction and to be informed about the progress of your loved one as they engage in recovery. Please consider this an invitation from someone like you, with nothing to gain. You will benefit, and we all will benefit from your participation. Thank you, DreamLife, for pioneering ways to include and equip families of your primary clients. It is a gift. And no matter how our journey unfolds, my family is grateful.

My loved one is currently in residential treatment at DreamLife Recovery in Donegal. As a family member, I give DreamLife five stars for their family programming sessions run by Curtis Rogers and Robin Miller over Zoom. These classes have been critical to my own parallel journey as I learn more about how to effectively support my loved one without enabling the addiction. I've developed new skills for how to recognize manipulation, set boundaries, and "wear my own hat". These classes have empowered me with the wisdom to recognize what is and is not in my control and the courage to make hard choices that are in the best interest of me and my loved one. Addiction is a family disease and it affects everyone touched by it. Because of the nature of the disease, it is often the family members and loved ones who need to change first in order for the addict to change themselves. I highly recommend that anyone with a loved one at DreamLife to prioritize attending as many of the classes as they can. The time commitment is worth it and you will learn so much.

I just had my last Jade appointment The staff at Jade - Alex Dan Emily Gloria the doctors all of them Rosie are just fantastic you couldn't ask for someone to care more and someone to try more and if you're really serious about getting clean and living a different life Jade is definitely the place for you. Even if you're not clean and you're just trying to get there and you're brand new at it Jade is the place for you I can't think of a situation good or bad that Jade would not be as helpful as they possibly can be. I just know so many successful people that have come from Jade in their recovery they've just gotten very far to whenever they first started it Jade didn't even have a place to live. I feel like Jane is always went above and beyond but you know they needed to. The fact that pretty much any time of night or day if you have to get a hold of someone in an emergency you can- it is not like that it all other facilities that I've been to. Jade is the only outpatient facility that I have went to and trust me I went to a lot of them that actually care. It's super sad because I've been with Jade for such a long time. I will miss Kristen forever and this is super hard to move on but I would recommend Jade over any other rehab facility in the world and if you are a patient at Jade you are lucky to be there and you should take advantage of everything that they have to offer because it's such a great facility and they truly do care. I wish all the staff yhe best and thank you for how far I have come thanks to you guys and to know you truly make a huge difference. I have three kids that are happy, healthy and in a nice home because of Jade and I couldn't be more grateful.

The first time I went here I thought I hated it and it was horrible, then I went to southwood and was begging to go back here. I went to western psych inpatient 2 times as well as outpatient 2 times and I can say I had a very pleasant experience all 4 times. Every psych ward has its issues like how they lost my favorite hoodie, but In the end most of the staff genuinely cared. They took us to meetings, made sure we could call people as much as they were allowed, treated us like equals, and just wanted what was best for us. There was always a staff or 2 that no one liked bc they were miserable, like Miss Sarah which I don’t know if she still works there or not. Whenever the mean ones weren’t around though they let us have as much fun as possible without breaking the rules. The one night we were bored and wanted to play dodge ball, so the staff flipped the tables and made teams! Not everyone has a great experience and you should still listen to your kid if they are begging you to take them out but I personally grew a lot bc of this place.

Sojourner House offers a unique healing expe for women in addition in that it United and often reunified women in recovery with their child or children and their families. There aren't many organizations that permit women to live with their children in their own apartments while participating in individual, group, and family therapy. There are three levels of care offered for women and children in need to regain lost independence in secure environments. Hopefully more similar-based programs will be established both at the state and national level so that women do not need to be separated from their children while recovering, as is often the case. Allowing a family to recovery together is a unique and needed experience as.addixiron continues to plague our nation. I spent 35 days here in September of 2022 and absolutely loved it. by far the best rehab I’ve ever been to. I didn’t want to leave when it came time to go. the staff was super caring and polite, Melissa made sure to always let me know how worthy I am of being sober and was always so positive about everything, with her bright smile. the nursing staff was nothing less than phenomenal, sometimes short staffed but they always made it work and listened to my every need. the food was awesome, you can choose from a few different choices each day on a weekly menu they hand out. calls home to my family were plentiful, I was able to call every single night. I was never able to do that at any other rehab I’ve been to, maybe 3x a week at most. so that was amazing to say the least. it’s a very small tight knit community, I think 22-25 patients, gender mixed. they’d take us to the park on nice days and let us take a walk or play cornhole, throw a football, or just chill and listen to music. the showers were AMAZING. great pressure, not too hot and not too cold. just perfect. the beds were very comfy which I was surprised because they were small and I am 6’6” .. but I slept like a baby every night after detox. Detox was a bit rough but I think that’s a given no matter where you go. it’s all about what YOU make of it during detox. 5/5 stars I’d give 6/5 if I could. this would be my first choice every time from here on out, if I were to ever need to go back, or if I had to refer a friend, this would definitely be the place!!!
