I have No faith in this program, I've witnessed nothing but unprofessionalism & lack of respect for ones who are in need. Very disturbing that the Govt funds this type of thing. Cassandra, the therapist whom runs group is just amazing at what she does! She genuinely cares, and goes above and beyond to help each individual reach their goals and full potential! She has helped me personally through a lot of hard times! The atmosphere is light and positive. However for some the group classes could possibly be a bit overwhelming at first. I am required to do 3hr groups 3 times a week. It just takes a little bit of motivation and determination! Everyone is different and need different things to successfully recover from addiction. Decided western was the best option and they did not disappoint. My child was content and safe while hospitalized and came home feeling like themselves again. The staff handled all prescriptions in a very timely manner and all follow up appointments. They called and checked in with me regularly throughout my child's stay. No one wants to have to take their kid for psych evaluation, but if you find yourself in this situation, I would see if western is the right place for your child's needs. I’d like to give a special shoutout to security (Lindsay & Bev) Dr. Schindler (she is amazing) and the rest of the staff Ms. Neaka, Alexis, Nicole, Cam (the best to ever do it), Shiloh, Bennie, Spidey (too cool for school), DAYRON (the most patient and youngest of the staff members!), Justin (the peer specialist, who had a great talk with me because he once was in my shoes.) This physician provided such expert care for my son who experienced a fairly significant trauma to his eye. Dr. Mattis was caring, concerned, efficient, thorough and stellar in his diagnosis and subsequent steps to ensure healing. He communicated the plan back to wellness clearly and articulately. Even more, he conveyed such genuine, dedicated concern and went above and beyond to help him. We are forever grateful for Dr. Mattis and his team (Nurse Ed from Seattle and a lovely nurse whose name I did not get). He is who every doctor should be.
