The whole team is truly wonderful, special shout out to Eddie, NP and Beverly, counselor. I have never in my life seen or even heard of a healthcare provider who would come out of his own pocket to help a patient in need. I will forever be in debt to Eddie for providing a ride, a hotel and food and to Beverly for doing everything it took to get my family member into the best rehab possible. Not to mention Beverly taking the time out of her day even after work hours to constantly check on my family members wellbeing and send them kind words of encouragement.
My family member has said nothing but amazing things about Beverly, Eddie and the team since day 1 and after seeing it firsthand, I can honestly say they are some of the most caring, kind, and compassionate people out there. As the parent of a son in recovery from alcoholism, DreamLife Recovery’s Family Class has been incredibly helpful and eye-opening. I came into this program wanting to understand what I need to do going forward after my son leaves rehab, and I now feel much more hopeful and prepared.
I attend Al-Anon regularly and have learned so much there, but this program is different. It has what I’ve learned two steps further. It has helped me better understand addiction, healthy family support, boundaries, and my own role in recovery. Most importantly, it is teaching me how to be a positive advocate for my son without getting tangled up in his issues or enabling unhealthy patterns.
The family education and open discussion format create a supportive space to ask real-life questions and learn practical tools. I am grateful for the guidance, clarity, and hope this program has given me. I would highly recommend DreamLife Recovery’s family program to any family member who loves someone struggling with addiction. THANK YOU!

The disease of addiction is so powerful and manipulative to the human brain that entering any treatment facility felt like I was accepting failure as a person. BTG helped alleviate the stigma associated with this admittance from the first call and through-out the entire process of treatment; continuing their connection and acceptance long after exiting into the real world. I Have been a patient at three previous clinics, the VA hosp in Pittsburgh, pyramid in altoona, and RHJ in Vandergrift, this is by far the place that has had the most heart. My experience with 3 counselors over 3 years was wonderful. It has been a much more personal experience, a give and take that was different from past places. With 2 of them they had been previous addicts, but all have had wisdom and encouragement. At other places it was just be me telling my life story and them bieng very gaurded about any personal details which made it less likely for me to be totally honest and not make progress in the counseling sessions. . The nurses are very kindly people as well and, unlike other clincs will accommodate me as a 40 year old man they will find another man to supervise the urinalysis instead of making me pee with a beautiful young nurse standing next to me, which I feel is inappropriate. I can say everyone is very friendly since a surly old bird of a nurse left 2 yrs ago. Maybe I just have an exceptionally good attitude or drank too much of the syzurp, but I feel if you put forth any effort in your recovery, these people will more than meet you halfway. You can improve yourself, pursue your dreams and goals or dream life away, at the Jtwn methadone clinic, you decide. everydays a blast! So come join the party today!
