After dealing with a few different MAT doctors in the area, I was beyond blessed to find State College Medical. Everyone I have dealt with in this office goes above and beyond to make sure the clients are taken care of, and well. They are kind, compassionate, and just good at their jobs. Highly recommend!

The staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, respectful, non judgmental & easy to open up to. You’ll feel warmly welcomed even as you walk into the front door. My guard was definitely up when I began at the clinic. I’ve been there for several years & don’t know where my life would be without the clinic & staff members I’ve grown to know & trust. I highly recommend this facility no matter where you are in the hopes of long term recovery. Recovery is a lot of work but oh so worth its success! I give praise where praise is due & this clinic deserves it in so many ways!

I love the staff! They put their lives on the line to make sure they are open for us. They are so dedicated and kind. The dosing nurse's are very patient and definitely put up with so much from some of the people who should be just thankful for the opportunity to be here. I'm so grateful for them and I'll always recommend that people who are looking for a new start in life and a way out of their addiction. You Should come here! Just know your treatment is your responsibility and depends on your attitude and strength to get yourself clean again. This will not work unless you do the work

I Have been a patient at three previous clinics, the VA hosp in Pittsburgh, pyramid in altoona, and RHJ in Vandergrift, this is by far the place that has had the most heart. My experience with 3 counselors over 3 years was wonderful. It has been a much more personal experience, a give and take that was different from past places. With 2 of them they had been previous addicts, but all have had wisdom and encouragement. At other places it was just be me telling my life story and them bieng very gaurded about any personal details which made it less likely for me to be totally honest and not make progress in the counseling sessions. . The nurses are very kindly people as well and, unlike other clincs will accommodate me as a 40 year old man they will find another man to supervise the urinalysis instead of making me pee with a beautiful young nurse standing next to me, which I feel is inappropriate. I can say everyone is very friendly since a surly old bird of a nurse left 2 yrs ago. Maybe I just have an exceptionally good attitude or drank too much of the syzurp, but I feel if you put forth any effort in your recovery, these people will more than meet you halfway. You can improve yourself, pursue your dreams and goals or dream life away, at the Jtwn methadone clinic, you decide. everydays a blast! So come join the party today!

If you're trans, DON'T GO HERE!! For professionals, they were incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional! Therapists never used correct name or pronouns and repeatedly spoke of other patients using the wrong pronouns! Don't bother.

My husband and I went to marriage counseling with David T. I can honestly say I recommend David to anyone who needs to learn how to communicate with their spouse. He will listen and he really does hear good and bad and he gives you homework and helps u really understand what is not working and what will work for your type of situation. We never had any problems when we went to him. He always worked us in and truly made us feel like he cared. I would love to go back. We ended up stopping services because one of us was not able to communicate because of illness and I gave up but it is so worth it if you can dedicate that time and work hard. Pointless to go if your not willing to work 3 times harder than you did to communicate. MArriage is work especially when as a human being we evolve and change more than ever. I think people don't understand that and that is where the work is needed too. When people change so much but want to find that new place with each other and want to love that same person than you will make it . it can be a new exciting start to a new chapter of ur relationship. Schedules can be flexible with david if your serious about going. . Thanks again David.

I’m sharing my experience in hopes that it helps other families looking for the right support. Unfortunately, our experience with my daughter’s counselor here was not a good one. Throughout my daughter’s time in services, I often felt that the counselor fed into my daughter’s thinking instead of guiding her toward healthier perspectives or helping her build better coping skills. Rather than encouraging personal growth, responsibility, or balanced thinking, it felt like the counselor reinforced whatever my daughter said without considering the bigger picture or our family dynamics. As a parent, I want a provider who helps my child make better choices, process her emotions in a healthy way, and learn tools to move forward. Instead, I consistently felt dismissed, talked over, and pressured. When I voiced concerns or questioned decisions, I didn’t feel heard or supported. At times, I felt like the counselor used my daughter’s past struggles to push services or make me feel like I had no say in the direction of her care. The moment I made the decision to discharge and transition her to a provider who better aligns with our family’s values and needs, the lack of respect and support became even more obvious. No parent should feel guilted or intimidated for advocating for their child. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, because families need guidance, communication, and balanced support not reinforcement of unhealthy behaviors or added stress. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility.

I have been coming here for years now and I couldn't ask for a better councilor. She has been with me through so many things and has helped with everyone. I highly recommend this location.

This place is truly amazing. The techs were so caring and compassionate and the nursing staff was great too. I would recommend this place to anyone for treatment of drug addiction or alcohol.

You definitely have to want to be sober going into any rehab but, the staff was awesome. They took really good care of me during a rough detox.

I been a patient since 2015,I have to thank Everyone that has treated me.They are wonderful and helped me better my life .The Doctors,Nurses and my Previous to my current Counselor whom is Courtney , which I had the pass few years are a blessing.My Experience has always been positive.I went to a Clinic in New Jersey in 2006 after I was discharged from the Army, And I had a addiction to my pain medicine from a combat injury.The New Jersey clinic was a terrible experience, Drug infested, they literally sold narcotics and the take home bottles in front of the door.Noone was clean including many staff members.Medmark is 5 star location for opioid treatment.It works if you work it.And the staff there want you to succeed.They are what makes it 5 stars, because they care.Thank you to the great staff ,I have my Life back for a decade after being lost for the prior 10 years.

This review may be a lil outta order cuz im not sure where to start lol…but i have been going to Medmark Treatment Center since 2019…and all I gotta say is that it’s definitely gotten better with time…are they perfect absolutely not but no one not even medical facilities are either…that being said if you’re thinking about giving Medmark a try go for it…everyone has their own opinions as well and I’m sure you’re gonna hear a lot of negative comments and reviews about them but don’t knock it till u truly try it!!! They have saved my life and they keep me going!!! They are my # 1 fans and would go to battle for me if they had to BUT YOU GOTTA DO THE WORK AS WELL!!! You can’t expect them to stay clean for you…lol…doesn’t work that way!!! So if you’re looking for a good place to try medicated treatment then Medmark should be where ya start!!! Nursing staff is awesome as well, April & Chelsea are fabulous and are there to help you with anything you need when it comes to how you’re feeling or how the medication is working/helping you…give it a shot YOUR LIFE MATTERS!!! I have been comin here now for just about 5 yrs…in the beginning it was crazy and I had to go thru a couple counselors until they gave me the best news ever…ALYSSA was gonna be my counselor and I tell you what it’s the best thing that could of happened to me!!! Alyssa is absolutely amazing and has a heart of gold that she wears on her sleeve…if you need anything all u gotta do is call her…if she doesn’t answer all ya gotta do is leave her a message and she will for sure get back to ya…she has truly saved my life and doesn’t even realize it!! She never takes the credit she deserves!! She always has my back and would fight for me in a second!!! I’m so glad I was able to get her as my counselor!!! She’s my #1 fan and is always rooting for me!!! Without her idk where I would be!! Thank you Alyssa and Medmark for helping me continue in my sobriety journey!!! I was at Concept 90 after getting out of Prison in May of 2002. I have been in recovery ever since. The help and support of the staff there has been a big help to me in maintaining my recovery.
