I love PA. C. I never had a therapist like Judy. I struggle with many things and making appts is not always easy bc of my memory issues . I was often dismissed and then left with not therapist or psychiatrist in the past. Which doesn’t make sense when your being seen for mental health ! I came here and will never leave Judy. Through all the hard times the staff and front desk are very easy to talk to and are great as well. I see Judy weekly she also does intensive treatment for dissociative disorders & ptsd too. If it wasn’t for her knowing me working with me I don’t know where I would be, possibly not here today. I strongly advise seeing a different person if your first time doesn’t work out, they do have amazing therapist you just need to give it time and explore your option when your their. Don’t give up bc they won’t give up on you. I Highly recommend Pa.C. I wish I found Judy when I was younger, but I’m happy I have her now.

Amazing!!! Helpful and caring!!! There’s nothing bad here nothing!! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is and refreshing!!! I have been on methadone 4 years and had to relocate back to central Pa and when I made arrangements with my old clinic at ARS, they tried to literally kill me!!! When I moved my entire life and had it all switched so I thought until!!! I get there and then they say oh your insurance is for another county do until you switch it we cannot help you!!! And left me sitting in the room alone!! Just not even care or bothering with me!!! They make ppl want to relapse why bother when you don’t care this much but I rememenrr beinf told Mechanicsburg ctc does same day so w only 32 mins left I rushed over to here and the world of diff of care, wanting to help!!! Willing to work with you as anyone knows even if you have no insurance the state of pa will pay up to 90 days back bills so they got all my paperwork and my dosing That day and let me dose and set me up!!! I cannot tell you how as I say defeated in the other clinic defeated crying hysterically I saw my entire sobriety flash and about to be gone before my eyes!! I went from homeless, destitute, a person no one saw as worthy to a career in retail management, built myself to a respectable person agian that also helps others in recovery with at least that first step and now use my career to help give a job to those otherowise others look over!! So thank you sooooo much Mechanicsburg CTC because of you!!! You helped this one persons world stay so much brighter!!! Thank you!!! If you need help in anyway please do yourself the biggest favor and just start here!!! Good luck!!! #wedorecover

Bold Steps BH has been absolutely wonderful since my husband left another inpatient rehab. They left us tour and meet everyone. Explained what a ‘normal’ every day would look like. They don’t sugar coat anything and if you come there- they do NOT treat you like a prisoner and hold you accountable- per my husband who is the patient. The experience from Bold Steps vs the last place is night & day different. Thank you Bold Steps for taking such good care of my husband and holding him accountable and teaching him new healthier habits! Best of luck in finding a rehab that will aid you in your recovery. It will only work if you are serious about sobriety and learning new habits & ways to stay sober. It’s important to research rehabs and see what is the best fit for you. Go to meetings, talk to others, reach out…. Wishing you well for a happy, healthy new beginning. Recovery isn’t easy by any means but it’s FOREVER worth it! ❤️🙂

I'm a retired 20 year Army veteran, there are many who can attest to my moral ethics, honesty and character, including numereous Generals active and retired and the current Secretary of Defense. Penn State Emergency room was outstanding, I did not have to wait. The several ER doctors that attended me kept me well informed and were professional, they were all excellent Doctors. I was informed they wanted to check me in as a patient to confirm if my issue was heart related or muscular and nerve. I was in agreement. I was an inpatient from 30 July until 1 August. On the floor the staff and doctors were professional and caring. The two Neurosurgeons I saw on my last day were excellent. They gave me a lot of info concerning my condition and a way forward to manage my pain or eliminate it. I highly reccomend a pay raise to keep those 2 excellent neurosurgeon doctors. I almost gave 5 stars. Now on toward what I did not like, they kept me woke throughout the night until morning taking blood and my blood pressure approximately every 3 to 4 hours. One night they took my blood pressure at 12 PM than the young man came into the room at 4 AM and hollered loudly to wake up! It's time to take your blood pressure! Keep in mind I was hooked to a heart monitor. The severe lack of sleep from them waking me every 3 to 4 hours, the medication, hospital enviroment and the pain from my issue kept my blood pressure very high, restful sleep is important to a lower blood pressure reading. Now at home my pressure is way below 130. The second issue is Dr.S who was the floor doctor informed me that he would put in writing that I was in pain and It could affect me not being able to work on some days but instead he wrote no restrictions,I believe he felt due to my job being a desk job it wasn't required, I complained so he changed it to I may need frequent breaks for 1 week due to pain. My supervisor had already approved me to work from home for a longer period because he knows I would not not lie about my pain and how the numerous medications would affect my alertness. I just wanted to see if Dr. S was a man of his word and if he sterotyped me. In addition some members of the staff including Dr.S was under the impression that I could not leave the hospital under my own free will. Federal and State law states no hospital can illegally forcibly hold any patient unless they are mentally incapicitated or physically unable to walk with some other exceptions that would not apply to me or most independent patients, a patient that want to leave immediately would receive an AMA discharge, even though I was discharged I stayed to get xrays done and planned to leave from there, the patient transport that took me to get my xrays told me that I could not leave from the radiology department even though I had my discharge papers and if I did security would forcibly take me down and bring me back. He claimed it happened numerous times in the past. He stated it was the hospital policy. He had refused to take me in a wheel chair but instead insisted on rolling me in a bed that was used many times without changing the sheets plus I was able to walk and prefered the wheel chair that was available. His comment gave me the impression I was being forcibly detained against my will as if I was a criminal. It was if I was not paying them for professional medical service. If there was an attempt to forcibly keep me by security especially with my muscular disc issue and pain than I would have levied criminal charges and sought out the best lawyers which I can afford for a major lawsuit against the hospital and I would have contacted the Senator and VA Affairs at the congressional level for mistreatment of a retired honorably served veteran. I almost gave 3 stars because of this but the ER doctors, most of the staff and the 2 Neurosurgeons were of excellent caliber. Holy Spirit need to retrain the staff on patient release in accordance with the law or change their policy before some of their staff have criminal charges levied against them and they receive a huge lawsuit.

This place changed my life from the inside out, yes it was hard, but it was exactly what I needed to internally transform through Jesus Christ and many men and women in Christ from this facility that helped push me to find my own life. And now that I have had this experience from New Life for girls I have completely turned my life around, I was a drug addict for 3 years almost lost my children to my parents and now I am a life coach I work full-time I am getting my own home and my own new car and I am thriving in the Lord and it is all 100% due to this experience at this facility. I suggest anyone who has any life-altering ailment call New Life today and go there because it will change your life. You have to be willing to do the work, but if you are willing to make a change and show up for yourself, Jesus will show up for you through these people and this facility. I promise you won't regret your decision to go here. Jesus is lord!

I will say, in the beginning, approximately 5 or so years ago, I was not happy with the service. But, I did like my psychologist at the time and not wanting to find something new, I reluctantly decided to stay. I’m glad I did. I now have gotten to know my therapist better and have found a healthy, better trust in this organization. Things seem better in the last year or so, I’m able to get my needed meds on time and am happy with the service I receive. I don’t know if management changed or I did. It’s scary to trust someone with one’s mental health. It takes time and a willingness of both parties to empathize, the giver and the receiver both. My advice, if you are unhappy, voice your grievance and give them time to correct your concerns.

The Ranch Pennsylvania is so much more than just a treatment center—this place genuinely saved my life, and I will always be grateful for the weeks I spent there. From the moment I arrived, the beautiful facilities and peaceful grounds made me feel safe and at ease. I especially loved spending time in the meditation barn and walking the premises; those moments helped me reconnect with myself in ways I never could have imagined. The therapists are absolutely incredible, and Amber and Dara were instrumental in my healing process. They didn’t just teach me about recovery—they helped me uncover what I truly needed to begin to heal. The atmosphere at The Ranch is warm and supportive, with staff and fellow clients who care deeply and form real friendships. Approaching two years of sobriety, I still cherish the connections I made at The Ranch Pennsylvania and stay in touch with many wonderful people from my time there. I truly can't thank this place enough for everything it’s given me.
