The do they best they can to fight the uphill disease of addiction. For future patients, focus on the reasoning for your stay and the changes you wish to make. I think this facility is above average. But long term, Pyrimid and my team for MAT and MH have been amazing to me. I know it was a struggle at first due to my high anxiety with new things. But they went beyond to help me. It all started with Tracy. And now I have a wonderful nurse Bre, along with my two counselors Shayla and Jess. I get some people have bad experiences, but you do what you can to get clean and get ahead of it and if you start out negative, it's definitely going to be rough. They tried so hard to help me. I went between the years of 2010 and 2013. I recall a lot of the staff and my favorites mostly nicknames were "B-new" and Mr. Kulp. I was one of the 100s of troubled children here and really loved the horse barn. I hope the staff I speak of are still here doing good work. I'm sorry so many of you had bad experiences. I had fond memories of the RTF. Daniel D 1 year ago I was here in the 90s. I was a resident when it was Lutherans for the most part I had a good experience but I was bipolar I got into fights alot. I was a very angry child. I had my moments I put the staff through a lot? I still remember the staff I had I was up there earlier today because my dad lives in the retirement community right before it so much has changed over the years. It looks completely different from when it did in the 90s the retirement community was not there then. The horse barn is still there. Most the cottages are gone I was in Riber and white cottage I went to school on campus only for a year and they let me go to zilenople high school cause I earned it I was not an easy child to deal with. I was often dismissed and then left with not therapist or psychiatrist in the past. Which doesn’t make sense when your being seen for mental health ! I came here and will never leave Judy. Through all the hard times the staff and front desk are very easy to talk to and are great as well. I see Judy weekly she also does intensive treatment for dissociative disorders & ptsd too. If it wasn’t for her knowing me working with me I don’t know where I would be, possibly not here today. I strongly advise seeing a different person if your first time doesn’t work out, they do have amazing therapist you just need to give it time and explore your option when your their. The nurse nurses are efficient, friendly nice. Every person that we came in contact with that works, there was incredibly helpful. They took really good care of my husband and I’m forever grateful for that. My only complaint was that they didn’t come in and change the sheets and the blankets every day. No one from janitorial services came and mopped the floors or cleaned out the bathroom so that was my only issue I shouldn’t have had to ask the nurses to give me clean sheets and towels, and change the bed. After leaving several different providers due to their indifference to my symptoms and not listening to me, I was hesitant to begin going here. I figured it would be more of the same old thing. However my psychiatrist (Dr. Kanyote) is kind and listens. He seems very sincere. He actually is the one that started me on the only medicine that helps my severe depression. He also provided paperwork to help me find the psychological evaluation that I needed, instead of making me do the work on my own. My insurance has changed for the better and I could easily change providers now, but I feel as though I am cared for as a patient here, so I will continue using this place. I read previous reviews and I must say, they made me incredibly nervous for my appointment. However, when I got there I was greeted with kindness and respect. The paperwork is understandably thorough but going over all of it was relatively quick and painless. Autumn was great and got me in and out of there without a hitch. As long as you’re clean & don’t have extensive past trauma etc I don’t see how you could have a negative experience. Obviously if there are red flags that come up, you will end up needing treatment. Certainly didn’t seem like they were after money as others stated in their reviews. 100% would recommend for evaluations.
