Ok. I'm going to go out on a limb and see if you respond and take action on this. I'll assign a tentative 5 stars rating, with the expectation you'll formulate the correct approach...I wrote a google and yelp last week about this to Safeway at WMC Drive in Westminster; they responded that someone would contact me but they never did. So, I'm upping it a notch and see hat you good folks have to say!!Last week, late at night, I was in Safeway on WMC Drive in Westminster. A customer brought their pet dog (not a service animal) in to the store and the 2 of them strolled from aisle to aisle shopping here and there. I asked the store's on duty boss, Kris, if having a pet dog in the store was appropriate. Kris, in front of 2 of his store coworkers, looked at me like a deer in the headlights, cleared his throat a couple times (I could see the brain neurons moving at warp speed trying to come up with a response), and he uttered "well, I don't know the store policies or regulations on this, but I guess it's ok for them to have their dog in the store. I responded "so, let's assume the dog poops in aisle 3 and raises its leg and sprays the fresh organic lettuce with pee pee in the fresh veggie section, what are you going to do and wouldn't that be totally unacceptable in the store?" Kris shot back with "well, sir, I can assure you I'll clean it up!!" Kris did not instill any confidence in me and I could just imagine the dog barfing up grass next to the open grapes in the fruit section in a manner similar to the way my childhood pet reacted in our backyard many years ago.So, Mr or Ms Health Department, is it okay if I bring my pet parrot into Safeway some night, let him fly all around the store, and watch him deposit numerous droppings everywhere, including on the fresh open-air French bread???? This might be fun, especially if Kris is working!!What say ye?????????????????????????

I. Was extremely sick and taken by ambulance to the hospital last Monday. I will not go into each detail but I had theBEST nurses and techs always checking on me comforting and bringing me back to health after a week in the hospital in bed. I was out of it for a few days had a very special nurse that took me when I came in and for the next few shifts. She was a GODSEND. I fought the needles and much more but she always professionally and kindly calmed me and WE got through it all. It may have been Chrissy or Gabby. Please tell the correct nurse

I've been to a lot of drug treatment centers in the area, I'm sorry to say. This is the only one where the staff are qualified, helpful and care to such a degree. I started here years ago when I was court ordered, and I stay to help myself now that I am free. You can see the reviews of this place are very polarizing. Either one star or five star. Drug treatment is not a pleasant process. Whether ordered to be here or on your own volition, this is therapy and it means confronting aspects of yourself you don't like. You WILL come to a point where you are angry, disgusted, fed up, etc. You can either quit and go write a one star review, or push through it and be better for it.

This place and the staff have helped to save my life. When I arrived here I was resentful and did not want anything to do with the program or recovery. They never gave up on me Bri, Lauren, Janet, and the whole staff believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. Throughout my two years of attending they have helped me get to inpatient every time I started using and were there for support and education once I got out and was willing to listen. I am forever grateful for Mountain Manor Westminster. I wouldn t be where I am today without their help, support, and perseverance through my stubbornness until I wanted to change. Thank you.

My boyfriend (he is leaving a great review also) and I have been a client at BH a little over a year and we both think the entire staff is wonderful!!! They always treat us with kindness, respect and compassion. I have been to 2 other facilities in Laurel & Cherry Hill and BH is by far a much better Facility. Each and every staff member has greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing EVERY time and I consider them all to be more than just "staff". My Counselor Megan is phenomenal, she answers every phone call or text message and really listens to what I have to say and sometimes I'm sure I ramble, lol. I can talk to her about anything and her advice has helped me many, many times. I consider her more than my counselor she's my friend. I have NEVER had a false positive, EVER. I think you have to be honest with yourself and not blame BH, that's a part of recovery, personal responsibility. BH's staff members are a big part of the reason I am currently at the highest Level, Stage 4, and I am over 6 months clean!!! Hats off to you BH because of you I'm sober and I finally have my life back!!!! YOU GUY'S ARE ALL WONDERFUL AND SUPPORTIVE!!! FOREVER GRATEFUL!!

I was a broken, desperate, suicidal, hollow, empty shell of a heroin addicted woman, even after several failed stints in inpatient facilities. After a stay at MARC, I came to Kolmac for IOP and continuing care. 2 years, 9 months and 13 days later, I am the healthiest and happiest I've ever been. I owe my life to the staff at this wonderful facility. They work miracles here if you let them. I still do followup care here once a week and they always go above and beyond to help every patient here. This place saved my life. I never would have survived without them and I will be forever in their debt for that reason. Thank you, Kolmac! <3Update: It will be 11 years on 12/11/23 since I started my recovery journey for the last time. I have been clean and sober ever since. I am living a life I never could have dreamed would be possible. I ve been happily married for nearly 5 years, I have a steady job doing something I love, and I own my own home. I still attend continuing care sessions via Zoom twice per month through Kolmac. I recently switched from Suboxone to the Sublocade shot to finally wean off of MAT hopefully for good. I am so grateful for the life I ve been able to have because of Kolmac. If you re struggling and considering getting help, but don t know if you can commit to an inpatient program, or if you re fresh out of inpatient and in need of additional help, please consider Kolmac. It saved my life. 11 years without intravenous drug abuse is a long time for a chronic heroin user. I m no one special. If I can do it, so can you. Stay strong and stay safe out there, friends.

I arrived at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt suffering from severe obsessive-compulsive and body dysmorphic disorders. Jon Hershfield and the OCD team provided me with exceptionally skilled treatment so I could return home to a significantly higher-quality, more productive, and happier life. I worked specifically with Jon, Molly, and Rebecca (the entire team is fantastic), and they are without a doubt the most knowledgeable, compassionate, intentional, and collaborative clinicians with whom I have ever worked over the course of my 30+ year journey with OCD. They educated me on my conditions and empowered me to build the skills and tools necessary to live with and effectively manage these chronic illnesses. They worked closely with my psychiatrist and social worker on my care team at the Retreat to create a holistic approach to recovery. They also ensured that I was discharged with a comprehensive plan to execute with my psychologist at home. I highly recommend them and am eternally grateful for their life-changing care.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys! The Retreat is a clean, friendly, attentive and professional place to go if you are experiencing mental health problems. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication.I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much.I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!

I got to admit I definitely had pause about coming to this facility because of all the negative reviews. And not knowing what to expect considering that I have never been to rehab or any type of detox program. I originally went to the 30 day program, but transitioned into Safe Harbor (the 6-9 month program for women & kids) it was definitely tough at some points, and there was a lot of rules. But at the end of the day this place taught me accountability & responsibility, how to be a mother again, how live without drugs and stay sober & how to be happy in recovery. I was there in 2022, and I am now 2 years clean. I got my husband back, and all 3 of my kids back. I'm currently going to college to be a cna, and I NEVER thought I would survive addiction let alone make it this far in life. Ignore the negative reviews, the place was strict at times, and back then I HATED the rules. But now I see that they were literally trying to teach and prepare me for life in the real world.

There are no words to express my gratitude towards the POI Institute. I was feeling very down in my life and I knew things had to change. I felt called to come here, and I am so happy I did. The room was amazing, and the people were even better. It was nice to feel not so alone in the world anymore. George and Diane feel like family to me and I am so honored to have taken part in all of the healing. I am now ready to take on the world with a greater respect and love for life. If you are feeling tired and alone, and do not know where to turn to, this place is the place to come.

I ve been suffering from debilitating depression and anxiety as a result of multiple head injuries from playing football. After some research, my family and I began pursuing Ibogaine treatment centers as a possible solution to my increasingly hopeless feelings. After speaking with Diane, we came to the conclusion that we found the right place and booked the trip. I cannot be more happy and more grateful for the experience that I had in Cabo with Diane and George. I really began to think that it was going to be impossible for me to ever feel good again. As I write this review, I am currently without depression or even slightest bit of anxiety. My time on the beach with the Shaman was the single greatest experience of my life and has given me a new perspective on life that I never imagined possible. I cannot recommend this treatment center enough for anyone out there who is suffering with depression and anxiety. Thank you once again to the staff at the POI Institute for giving me my life back!

I went to POI seeking relief from debilitating PTSD. I knew from the moment Diane and George picked me up from the airport that I chose the right place for my treatment. They're extremely knowledgeable about ibogaine and helped alleviate some of the fears I had going in. They genuinely make you feel like part of the family. They are such loving, caring people who work non-stop to help people who desperately want to make a positive change in their life. Their entire lives center around helping others and they cater to your every need while you're in their care. The home and the neighborhood where we stay is genuinely paradise. I have to give a shout-out to Veronica for keeping it pristine, and also for making the best rice and beans I've ever had. I cannot think of a more perfect place to go on a healing journey. They don't take many patients at once, so you get plenty of attention. The nurse, Chuy, is really fantastic. You can tell he's treated a lot of people before and knows what he's doing. He stays with you throughout your entire treatment, which is an all-day affair. I felt very safe and well-attended the entire time. They have the treatment down to a very precise science. Ibogaine isn't legally regulated in Mexico, and that means that not all clinics are created equal. Proper dosing and overall safety are truly the priority here.On my last day, I had an amazing massage and the most incredible, spiritual journey led by a genuine medicine man. Recounting the whole experience still gets me a little choked up. It was the perfect ending to the most incredible experience I've ever had in my life. Diane and George really know what they're doing, they plan everything perfectly. And if you're somehow still not convinced yet to choose POI, there's a puppy. Her name is Poppy and she is the best girl!I've been home for two days now. I have never felt so good in my life. I'm no longer bed-rotting. I'm not having meltdowns the way I used to. Things that used to REALLY bother me and set me off just don't anymore. My husband says he feels like he has his wife back. For the first time in my life, I am so incredibly grateful to be alive. My healing journey isn't over, I still have more work to put in, but POI gave me the jump-start that I so desperately needed. I have more motivation than ever to build a better life for myself. POI will always hold a special place in my heart. If you're thinking about coming here, don't hesitate. You will not regret it.
