Yes adelphoi did get annoying sometimes and seem frustrating, the lessons I have learned there, the lessons everyone learns their won't ever compare. Adelphoi has helped me renew myself and become the best version of myself I never thought I had in me. Not all times is being sent away going to be great and hollyjolly but what you can do is make the best of that situation. That place can really open your eyes to many things, you have to just internalize it. So if your a parent or a youth wonder if its a place to get help, I would say yes. Adelphoi has never gaven up on me or many people in their community but they did start a new life for them to change their ways. So adelphoi thank you , thank you for everything! The staff is pleasant, and check-in was seamless. I appreciated that they try to make the space kid-friendly; there’s a TV with cartoons and a small coloring station. It’s a bit modest (the TV is small/mounted high and the coloring table is simple), but the effort is there. We actually donated some extra crayons today to help out! Overall, it’s very clean and the people are great. Don’t let the dated appearance or the tricky location deter you Brandon Burns 6 months ago I go for therapy and for medication and I've been going to Latrobe for about maybe 2 years now! It took a bit to work out medications, but it takes time y'know? They're not gonna know right away the meds you need. They're always really quick to pick up the phone when I call to make appointments which is really nice because then I don't have to play phone tag. The first therapist I had was amazing, she was really nice and very easy to talk to, and my current one is also great! I was very weary of having a male therapist at first, but he made me feel comfortable and is very easy to talk to! Although, I do have a complaint about the inpatient services. I went once for an evaluation and I was there for FOUR HOURS. I had to tell my story to 4 different nurses, and the evalution itself was 3 hours long. After being there for that long and going through the ENTIRE PROCESS, they told there were no beds avaliable, and no discharges in the morning, meaning that I couldn't go to a room after someone got discharged, but we were fully welcome to stay in the concrete cellar we were currently in. Or, we could go to another hospital that was 3hrs away that did have an opening. We went home. I didn't want to because I needed help because I literally just tried to off myself, but my mom didn't want to drive 3hrs to come see me. Couldn't you have told us there were no beds BEFORE the 3 hour long evaluation?? I think that the outpatient services are outstanding, but I don't have a good experience with the inpatient services and I don't recommend them. Without their intervention, I likely would have faced incarceration, homelessness, or even death. I am deeply thankful for the positive impact that Medmark has had not only on my life but also on countless other individuals and their families who have sought help there. The staff at Medmark deserves special recognition; from the gentleman who greets you at the door to the nice and attentive and nonjudgmental nurses, knowledgeable doctors, compassionate and empathetic counselors, and the friendly front desk personnel, everyone embodies kindness, understanding, and support. For anyone struggling with addiction who is seeking help, I cannot recommend the Greensburg branch of Medmark highly enough. J Linger 8 months ago I been a patient since 2015,I have to thank Everyone that has treated me.They are wonderful and helped me better my life .The Doctors,Nurses and my Previous to my current Counselor whom is Courtney , which I had the pass few years are a blessing.My Experience has always been positive.I went to a Clinic in New Jersey in 2006 after I was discharged from the Army, And I had a addiction to my pain medicine from a combat injury.The New Jersey clinic was a terrible experience, Drug infested, they literally sold narcotics and the take home bottles in front of the door.Noone was clean including many staff members.Medmark is 5 star location for opioid treatment.It works if you work it.And the staff there want you to succeed.They are what makes it 5 stars, because they care.Thank you to the great staff ,I have my Life back for a decade after being lost for the prior 10 years. The staff is kind, the rules take a bit to get used to. The 3-6 month structured program is perfect for people transitioning back into society. You get to the facility you're on Phase 1 and on blackout for 3 days. After 3 days you get your phone. Which you turn in at 7pm and attend outside AA and NA meetings. You go to Walmart 1 day a week and can go to St. Vincent De Paul and get a voucher for clothes if you can't afford any or come with minimal attire. After 3-4weeks of outside meetings and facility meetings you go to phase 2. On phase 2 you can look for jobs, set up interviews and volunteer your time if you can't work. Get free passes to go to the mall or around town. Phase 3 is the same thing but you can have a car on the premises as long as it's inspected and insured. You get home passes to go visit home that I includes travel time. 3 meals a day, snacks at night time. Discharge planning, aftercare planning, a nice structured program.
