Been going since Oct 29, 2020, and am SO thankful they started taking TennCare. That was my last "excuse" I couldn't pay for both(drugs and the weekly fee), so I promised my family when they started taking my insurance I would go. Now, they do start you on a low dose, but it's for your safety and they move you up decently fast. They have gotten so much better in the 4 years I have been going. The staff now is much more caring than when I first started. Without them, I would probably be dead. I have been able to go on several vacations, do things with my family I wasn't able to do while on drugs, and enrolled in college to obtain my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I send everyone I can there, and the ones that want to change have thanked me for sending them. If you truly want to get clean, they will help you. It's not easy, it is a process, and you have to put in the work, but BHG will do everything within the laws and statutes to assist you!

Treatment here is minimal at best. Most of personnel at BHG are overworked/or difficult to see. I had a counselor who resided in Knoxville, Tennessee, who never came into office. She worked other clinics too, some in Virginia and E Tenn. When pressed on subject, she admitted to being on contacts as satellite counselor. Other counselor I had, had extended workload of upward to 80 patients weekly. So many excuses of why he wasn t trained to have Medicare patients and not putting the proper paperwork in computer, to other problems of not remembering. Very unorganized. The program director did seem to care about the patients and problems there-one of the few to do so. Some nurses were creditable as were a few others. There was more negative issuers than positive at the program. I would rate 2 out of possible of 5 being the best score.Overall the program has many faults as a whole. At best, it does offer detox and MAT programs. Realistically, though, the program is too overloaded with problems and structure, therefore, is lacking considerably. Fingers from one staff, pointed and blamed on others, is frequent. So is confidentiality and no respect for patient rights. Rules seem to be pretty much non existent, and staff oftentimes changes or bend rules in their favor. Other problems too with no direction. And, yes, I may be punished for making truthful remarks. Therefore, I do solemnly state all remarks are truthful to the best of my knowledge and ability. Finally, profit over patient well being/state of mind, simply says to go elsewhere. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I've been on this program for 10 years in multiple states. I'm from TN. And this place was the worst experience I've ever had. I have called Christina, my "counselor" atleast 30 times for MONTHS to get my paper work transferred, so after a decade, I had to re start and was beyond sick, all bc they couldn't answer the phone and she couldn't be bothered to simply FAX MY PAPERWORK! it's literally part of their job. I'm talking MONTHS I called for months until I gave up bc I finally made it back up to my usual dose. And since when can a counselor be the only one with the capability to fax a patients paperwork? Even my counselor and the main doctor at Mt new clinic realized what a joke this place is bc EVEN THEY TRIED TO CALL! this place is a freaking JOKE. My "counselor" was anything but, the security guy was a straight weirdo and rather rude, and whoever runs the place must be a nutcase. BBeen clean almost a decade with the help of methadone so I'm not ashamed.to say this is the biggest joke of a clinic I've ever seen. BTW I'm STILL waiting on my paperwork to come through from my "counselor" Christina, since LAST AUGUST. what a joke.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When your day-to-day life is taken over by drug use, this is known as substance use disorder. If you abruptly stop using your drug of choice, you experience withdrawal symptoms. To overcome this cycle, professional drug rehab in Tennessee is usually needed.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Terrible place. I will recommend south nashville comprehensive treatment center. They take all insurance. In and out in 5 min daily. BHG harasses you about payment, their treatment groups are a joke, you will wait 30 min to a hour just to dose. Leave there and go to South Nashville Comprehensive Treatment Center

By far the worst clinic I've ever been to. Expect to be waiting a hour or more before seen. They also have a problem with nurses contaminating U/A samples by using the same thermometer for everyones urine. There's plenty of other clinics around Nashville now so that you don't have to go thru this stupid mess

Do NOT waste your time going here. Once you get to a certain level (monthly) they start failing you on drug screens. 2 years never a dirty and then me and about half the monthly’s failed. They could care less about you here. All they care about is money and all the workers treat you like they’re better than you (even though they make probably $12 an hour 😂). Let me help you. Look up CTC methadone clinic. They have 2 clinics and opening more. Super friendly staff and they treat you with respect. Most of this places people are now at CTC. BHG is just a dump with workers on the same level! CTC FOR THE WIN. Soon to take all BHG patients!

The worse so called "clinic" ever. Worse staff too. Going to jail would be an improvement instead of dealing with these types. The fact that they are still in business proves our local government can't keep an eye on all the violations.
