Accepted Insurance

Mind Body Optimization works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

Alcoholism occurs when a person becomes physically and psychologically dependent on alcohol. Attending a professional alcohol rehab in Texas can provide customized intervention methods to address the physical, mental, and relational challenges of addiction.

In Texas, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs can treat individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse challenges. Usually offered on an inpatient or outpatient rehab basis, clinicians provide individual and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy, and skills training to address both disorders and equip you with the skills to maintain your recovery.

Substance abuse treatment is available in Texas for anyone who's struggling with drug or alcohol addiction. These programs usually provide a comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plan, and include evidence-based treatments, like therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to reframe unhelpful coping strategies, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help with emotional regulation and stress.

Programs

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

The purpose of family therapy is to create a supportive and understanding family dynamic within the family unit. Therapists help individual members to identify and change harmful behavior patterns and improve communication. This provides a stable foundation for the family and their loved one's recovery.

Together with an experienced trauma therapist, you work on healing emotional wounds from traumatic experiences within a trauma therapy environment. Your therapist will help you process the experience of the trauma, which promotes emotional healing and improves your overall mental health.

The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Texas is to change thought patterns, which leads to changes in behavior. Specific techniques during CBT can include self talk, SMART goals, journaling, and positive activities.

Couples therapy helps couples learn to control emotions, trust each other, and communicate more effectively. It can be useful for short term intervention for a specific issue or for working on the relationship long term.

Eating disorder treatment in Texas involves input from a comprehensive team. This may include a mental health professional, medical specialists, a dietician, and your friends and family. Together, this team provides the support you need to regain physical and mental health.

Updated Review as of 1/22/25 The latest visit completely addressed my concerns, and I was able to see a different doctor. This doctor respected my time and collaborated with me on a care plan that feels very effective. They truly listened to my concerns and made me feel heard and valued. I’m so glad I didn’t base my decision on my initial experience. Shout out to Justin and all the staff who thoroughly investigated my complaint and worked toward the best solution for me and my care. To anyone considering this location: definitely give the Southlake office a chance if you want proper care and a team that genuinely listens and works with you. This office deserves a 5 stars That’s my update . Respect for Time Goes Both Ways I recently sought care at Mind Body Optimization, a place that seemed promising in addressing my needs related to anxiety—a condition I’ve grown more aware of as I’ve aged, especially when reflecting on past trauma. Like many, I hesitated to take medication, but I recognize the importance of addressing mental health proactively. After months of careful research, I decided to give this establishment a try, drawn by the reviews and the promise of specialized care. From the start, there were mixed signals. While the front desk staff was welcoming and professional, I was placed with a new doctor who could see me within days. Though I understand new doctors need to build their clientele, it raised a red flag for me. When I arrived for my appointment—early, as I always make it a point to respect others’ time—I filled out my paperwork and waited patiently. Yet, despite a 5 PM appointment, I wasn’t seen by 5:15 PM, and there was no clear communication about the delay. Having worked two jobs, including a demanding third shift, I couldn’t justify sitting indefinitely without acknowledgment. What struck me most was the inequity of the situation. The paperwork I signed clearly stated I’d be charged $100 for being late or missing my appointment. However, when the delay was on the doctor’s end, there was no reciprocity, apology, or acknowledgment of my time. I left without seeing the doctor—not out of anger, but because respect for time is a two-way street. This isn’t about placing blame on any one individual or establishment. I understand that healthcare professionals are busy and that unforeseen circumstances arise. However, I believe this experience highlights a broader issue: the need for mutual respect between providers and patients. Without patients, these establishments wouldn’t exist. And without empathetic care, trust between patients and providers breaks down. I hope this serves as a reminder to healthcare professionals: Your time is valuable, but so is ours. Clear communication, respect, and acknowledgment go a long way in building trust and fostering a positive relationship.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at this doctor's office. When I scheduled my appointment, I specifically requested a Spanish-speaking provider because I was under the impression that one was available based on the online profile. However, during my visit, the provider, Sarah, did her best to communicate, but I still felt that the language barrier was too significant. While she made an effort, it wasn’t enough for me to fully express myself, and I could tell that she wouldn’t be able to understand everything I needed to say. It was frustrating, especially since I had chosen this practice based on their advertised service. It felt as though my request was disregarded, and it was disheartening to realize that the Spanish-speaking service I was promised wasn’t actually available. Given the sensitive nature of mental health issues, clear and effective communication is crucial, and I felt that my concerns were not being fully understood. I’ve been also waiting for my prescription since Thursday. I’ve called the office and no one respond to my calls.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Gabby, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Our goal is to be transparent with all of our clients in offering the highest quality of care. Our team will be reaching out to you in attempts to rectify this situation.
