Integrated Recovery and Support Services

Outpatient recovery in this clinic considers your physical health, relationships, and financial situations that influence your symptoms. You’ll work with the care team to create a personalized care plan tailored to your recovery goals. Therapy may be delivered in group and individual formats and integrate cognitive behavioral techniques to promote positive behaviors.

Patients with co-occurring disorders receive psychiatric care including psyche medication prescriptions and management. Their wraparound services include job skills training, educational assistance, and housing access to ensure sustained recovery. The care team also helps you strengthen relationships with loved ones and your community.

A particularly unique program available in their network is Independence Bridge. This community residential housing project supports adults between 18 and 25 leaving foster care. The facility boasts a library, communal kitchen, living area, and a laundry room. Services include educational support, life skill mentoring, and employment services. They also offer financial planning, legal advocacy, and peer support. Navos accepts Medicaid and Medicare. Financial aid may be accessible as well.

This place Navos has an adjacent Community Center next door, which is a waste, because is closed and expensive to rent. See Im a local (Burien) Art Teacher, that came and did an art program for the kids. Why would you call Community Center in a very dense brown housing site, should be call Community 4Profit Center. Sad to see this brand new building with zero programing and zero interested in building community.

The nurses are petty nightmares who are angry at you for asking questions about medications. The final straw was trying to get ahead of medication changes last month, getting a condescending voicemail back that didn't answer the question, upon me calling out that it was their fault I'm out of medication and asking for someone to fix it, I got a call back from a nurse (who wasn't supposed to be handling calls by the way) who LIED to me that they had already sent out the prescription. It's days later and my pharmacist just let me know that this wasn't true when I checked on why my medication hadn't been filled. Lying is absolutely diabolical and evil, these people have no business working in mental health.

Accepted Insurance

Navos Mental Health and Wellness Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Every sober living home in Washington allows for increased independence in recovery while still providing structure and accountability. Residents are expected to be responsible for themselves. They must pay for room and board and do everything they would do for themselves if they lived in a regular home. Typically, residents can live in a men's or women's sober living home for as long as they want, as long as they follow the house rules.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

What Navos did for me was showing me the path step by step to recovery. That was exactly what I needed, they taught me the basic stuff and also the most complex one and now here I am completely recovered.

Who are these people? How are they qualified? There’s nothing provided. They believe that you’re supposed to show up for four hours a day to talk about drugs and alcohol with someone Who has not qualified for anything they are actually possing as a counselor for what they’re doing and then they also on your off day they have some random quote person as you’re psychiatrist who again has zero qualifications. I’m asking how is this actually a state run institution?

The fact that they're allowed to operate as a medical facility is nothing short of criminal after what they put me through. Being subject to someone who couldn't even correctly define basic English terminology was nothing short of insulting, too! 👿

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. My family member is in one the worst mental health crises of their life (and we’ve seen many) because of the lax and lazy practice provided here. Sibling went in completely disoriented, severely manic, for MONTHS and was discharged with a prescription. No referrals to a higher level of care as you’d expect given their condition and history. Now my sibling is entirely lost in their symptoms.

I went there for a while 2018 and 2019 and their counselors for pathetic personally I question whether or not they even had psychology training they never offered a single bit of advice or suggestions how to deal with my problems and every 6 months my counselor would leave and they tell me I had to meet a new counselor the last counselor not only did the offer any advice he looked at me said I think you're just dissatisfied with life then covid-19 happened and he left they told me I had to talk to someone that I never heard of or met on the phone for counseling couldn't do that because that's part of my problem they said well then there's nothing we can do for you and shortly after that they gave out their patient list the third party survey Company so they could call us over and over and harasses trying to get us to tell them how great navos is. Which is both unethical unbelievably unrealistically unethical and a totally illegal violation of patient confidentiality which says they're not allowed to tell anybody anything about you even whether or not you are a patient without Express written signed authorization from patient which they did not have suggestion is don't go to Navas because their counselors are terrible you can't even see an actual psychiatrist except for them to prescribe medication they're completely and totally unethical they will not eat your information confidential top of that they shared a building with Public Health and when I tried to go see my doctor they stopped insisted that I had to tell them who my doctor was who I am and why I'm seeing a doctor and when I refuse they seek their giant Samoan security guard on me and refuse to allow me to go see my doctor which is also unethical and illegal because novice not connected to Public Health they simply shared building and they have absolutely no right to even ask why I see a doctor for anything else regarding me and my doctor and my personal business with my doctor don't go there system is set up just to keep their patients coming in Forever so they can get paid by your insurance the government they don't give a crap about their patients for solving their patients problems they're unethical your information is not safe with them they're psychiat rist and even evaluating he just asked me if I wanted medication what medication I want I mean I'm not a doctor or anything but I don't think that's how it's supposed to work like I said don't go there I would give them minus five stars if I could have you'd be better off getting your counseling from a drunken monkey place should be shut down in their license and the licenses of their employees should be permanently revoked

If I could leave a 0 star I would. I'm so sick of how this place treats my son. I treated me like a pos so that's why I left. My son is constantly get switched medication doctors and counselors. He gets comfortable with someone then all of a sudden they leave. They also haven't given 3months worth of meds like they were and claim they forgot .. then today we were on telehealth for 30min only to be told his app was 1010 and I know it was at 11... this is the 3rd time they've don't this to us. And I'm pissed and sick of them doing this. Now my son will be out of meds for 3 weeks by the time he goes for the appointment next week. I'm so sick of this place they need to do better period

One issue I ve had is difficulty getting a new case manager. One time I waited 3 months to get a new case manager. Another time I waited 4 months.Another issue I ve had is not getting emails/phone calls returned from case managers. As of now I have a case manager on leave, and I have no idea when I ll see this case manager again.I suggest looking at other options for mental health care instead of here.
