Hey sunshine thanks so much for your review. We re sorry that you had such an experience at our wonderful treatment facility. To be clear, our phone policies is that you re only able to speak to approved phone calls two days a week so that you re able to focus on yourself during your treatment stay. This was explained to you prior to your admission as well as during it When you signed all of your admissions paperwork. The only thing that we ever promise any client is the opportunity to learn from us how to live a sober life, which we actually delivered for you When you successfully completed the program. We wish you the best on your journey

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants engaged in 12 step programs receive intensive peer coaching (sponsorship) and community support. Spiritual development as a means of achieving psychological and emotional healing and growth is the cornerstone of 12 step recovery, but religious affiliations are not required. Meetings are free, anonymous, and open to the public, though specialized formats are available, including groups for seniors, teens, and family members. Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober living homes in California offers an intermediate sober environment that has less structure than inpatient rehab but more than typical home environments. This makes it a good option for those who have concerns about transitioning back to the "real world" after treatment. Residents can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, if they are willing to follow house rules. These may include a curfew, chores, and maintaining a job.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When an individual is in denial about their substance use disorder, their loved ones may organize a drug intervention in California. This effort involves gently but assertively confronting the individual about their substance use and sharing how it has affected those who care about them. A professional interventionist may also attend this gathering. Their expertise with intervention services can prove helpful in guiding the conversation to a positive result.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

Substances can prevent the absorption of nutrients and cause damage to your body's systems. Nutrition therapy in California addresses the deficiencies in vitamins and minerals that are caused by substance abuse.

The goal of creative arts therapy in California is to encourage growth and transformation. It can be used in individual and group settings with both children and adults. Options include movement, music, and painting.

I went here to new spirit recovery back in early November and graduated right around January 5th or 6th. I had a medical emergency with a bad infection and ended up having to have gallbladder surgery and have the infection cut out and my gallbladder removed as well as 29 staples. Thanks to David for helping me get to the ER And Melanie my roommate. I was in the hospital for 9 days and when I got back to the center they were amazing over the top to take care of all my needs because I wasn't supposed to be bending or moving alot with all those staples in my stomach.. The staff including David, Maddie, Ashley, Krystal, Josh, & Keith all kept me company during my week recovery time and they all talked to me and treated me just like family should. And I have to thank Tabitha and My Doctor they were right on my meds as soon as I got to the program to keep me from having any withdrawals it was the easiest detox I have ever been through and I have been through quite a few. Everyone is in recovery and has a success story and they all know what to say to help you on those occasionally bad days where you may start to feel a little home sick but they always show you the bigger picture and the big reason while you're there and reminds you that it's only a short amount of time to spend to be able to have a new whole different life.... Your new life begins the moment you walk into the doors at New Spirit Recovery in the detox house. It's such a warm and friendly calming peaceful feeling with a counselor and Staff always keeping a check in on you and your feelings as well as the outings and ladies getting to get nails done as well as movies and An AA meeting every afternoon to get you prepared to be back in the real world.... This program changed my life and also physically saved my life because the doctor told me If I hadn't of came in when I did that I would have died.... So Thank You David and Mattie, Tabitha, My Doctor, & my case worker Josh & Sean for accepting me and my insurance to begin with and for fighting to keep me in the program when the insurance tried to backtrack. Thank you David for changing their minds and getting them to pay to let me stay and finish my program days instead of having to leave and go to Bradford back where I lived. Bradford doesn't work I have been to the one in Madison and the one in Warrior and all they are are stuck up rich kids and if you ain't got money you aren't anything to anyone that works there or anyone else for that matter. Money talks and it wasn't about getting people better just playing around and joking and just Nurse's acting like giggling little teenagers... I was high right after I left from there plus I wouldn't stay but a week to detox I wouldn't even try to stay for the recovery part. But I wanted to stay at New Spirit. They have wonderful teachers on certain days of every week and the stability is refreshing. Everyone here does above and beyond their call of duty to make it an experience where you really learn and equip you with the tools you're going to need to stay sober out here in the world.... I have recommended this program to every one of my old friends that's trying to get into a couples program now.... And they let you bring your dog/Animals if you have one and the chef is Utterly Amazing she's the real deal. Thanks to Everyone at New Spirit Recovery For my new chance at life being clean and sober and YES to everyone there, I am STILL CLEAN AND SOBER AND HAPPY AND GETTING BACK CLOSE TO MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDDAUGHTER... THANK ALL OF YOU GUYS ....

I spent around 60 days at this facility, and it completely changed my path as a human. Education and implementation are top notch and you will be set up for a new life , once you have completed this program. I was able to rediscover myself thanks to the kind and hardworking staff, specifically: Ashley, Jesse, Adrian, David and Tabitha. Food was spectacular too. I’m very lucky to have found this spot and these people. I genuinely recommend to try out this facility to anyone that wants to help and better themselves. Thank you for a great experience. Ashley, Jesse and Adrian are all staff who I will consider friends for life and am very grateful to have met them. David and Tabitha behind the scenes were top tier. David was able to help me out more than I would have ever thought. Very good staff, that will make your experience incredible.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 100% recommend. I’ve been to multiple rehabs and this one stuck w me the most. They facilitate every need and the staff are absolutely fantastic and I’ve created amazing bonds w both the staff and clients. We go on outings every weekend and we get to live life sober outside of rehab. I definitely feel like my life is changed leaving this rehab and it’s a feeling I’ve never had before at other rehabs. I really enjoyed every second of my time here and I will forever cherish every bond & memory I’ve made. Thank you New Spirit. !!
