The program is strongly rooted in a 12 step approach, which was exactly what I needed, while also offering specialized programming to meet different individual needs. The campus is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean, creating an environment where healing feels possible. The medical staff were also incredible and made me feel safe and cared for throughout my stay. My son first went there at a time when he wasn’t ready to embrace recovery and after that, he spent time at many other treatment centers. When he finally reached the point where he was ready to get better La Hacienda was the place he wanted to go. That spoke volumes to me. Out of everywhere he had been, La Hacienda was the place where he felt the most comfortable and cared for. It was a place that made him believe that recovery was possible. As a mother, I understood very little about addiction so I attended 4 different family programs at his various treatment centers and the one at LaHa was by far the best. When my son returned to LaHa he specifically asked his dad to attend the family session. It was here that he finally understood addiction as a disease and was given the perspective he needed to not only support our son’s recovery but his own through attending our local Alanon. I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. I honestly only had the intention to stay 1. Each month I agreed to extend because this place was worth it. One of my character flaws is perfectionism and I could complain about some small issues, but honestly that's irrelevant to the support and care I received. After detox, I was assigned the absolute best therapist I have ever had and several amazing recovery coaches that helped me work through my personal issues, legal problems, and my FMLA so I had a job to return to. I learned more about mental health, addictions, and coping skills then I ever expected. I met lot of amazing friends that I still keep in regular contact with since my departure and most of the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Food and facility cleanliness was also great. Overall, I had my ups and downs, but was shown to overcome them and have been thriving more than I had in a long time before arriving to windmill. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site. y K 6 months ago Briarwood is an amazing place with compassionate staff all the way up the chain! Now I'm over $1000 in the hole without a way to pay it .As i weight on finishing the drug treatment PHP i get further in the red so that by the time i get the money paid for PHP approximately 3weeks after i graduated i will be approximately $2000 in the red .IOP is the next step and it is promised by mastermind that me being in IOP that would pay for 1/2 months rent of $400 leaving a $400 month balance. Here is the scam It took me 2weeks to get into PHP adding up to a negative balance of $350 plus the $100 deposit =$450 to move in The money for the promised paid for rent has to come from Africa according to the addicts that's hired on by Mastermind who controls the balance taking additional $800 in the red adding up to $1250 in the red Once i start IOP the promise by mastermind is to pay 1/2 months rent leaving $400 left over =$1100 in the red. I was placed on a renal agreement non compliance notice even though I'm broke and cant get a job because i don't have ID placing me in fear of being kicked out of sober living leaving me homeless and displace leading to RELAP and my insurance who spent money for me to get better would start all over again because its well known the success of a homeless person would not and could not determine where he would end up at at night. The recipe seems to be get as much money from my insurance company and then start me back over again and push me on to their network buddies to take more insurance money. The way that mastermind brochure explain it is that these deals for paying for rent would help success. WHY DONT THIS ADD UP? Bonded immediately and had a lot of similar experiences. I knew this was a good place for me. Then, I walked back in on October 27th, my first day of sobriety, for intake. I was nervous to say the least. Nothing in my life had gone according to plan over the past couple years, and I had really hit rock bottom the last 10 months. Reece conducted my initial intake and I got along with him great right off the bat. This meeting, immediately prior to my first IOP session at 6pm, showed me this was a serious place for recovery. I was all-in. Then came down to IOP evening sessions, 3 days a week for 3 hours. 12 week program and if you do well, you may have the opportunity to be invited back for an additional 8 week SOP program. The first thing I realized in IOP was I am not alone. There were other guys in similar positions as me and I could relate to them instantly. If not for my peers in IOP, led by our group counselors Jose and Collin, I don’t know if I would have stayed. Friendships were sparked in that room that will likely carry a lifetime. It’s all about who you surround yourself with during recovery. You need good people. Good counselors and good peers. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! The Liberty Program Counselors, were on top of their game, allowing me to feel, and use my own creative mind to do it my way, while ensuring I stayed as long as I truly needed to, without judgement. They really fight for you!! I had a tailored treatment plan from day one; I knew my goals, and the standards, and we agreed upon aplan to get me there , that plan was updated weekly, and loaded with plenty of balanced materials, there was a lot of personal time to exercise, or have fun, as long as we were attending our required classes. The different treatment modalities, included CBT, DBT, CPT, Equine Therapy, Anger Mgmt, a whole lot of Mindfulness, and as EMDR. individual Counseling sessions were done weekly plenty of o For those who needed Family Therapy, it is available thereas well. Teresa and Jill do a unique and wonderful job, so did Kevin and Agusta. At the Starlite Chapel, Rev. Brian T., hosts a weekly Sunday, Non-denominational service; he is available for on call emergencies. The Chow Hall was great, Joy and Staff did very well to feed us on time, and on target!! The tech, especially Jan, Dylan,Jazmine, Heidi, Tory, and others were vigilant in their jobs, keeping us all safe and accounted for. I have no regrets about going to the Premier Treatment Center of the South. Starlite has been there for me five times, this time it stuck. Lastly Jaine n Barbie were instrumental in assisting me with the placement at the Veteran Program I am currently in in Amarillo, tx that will my long term sobriety, housing placement and Continuing Education. I have been in the DARKEST place for so long. Symetria was my saving grace. My counselor Callie (my saving grace) showed me that I actually really do matter and gave me a sense of belonging for the FIRST time in my life! La Hacienda truly changed my life. I’ve been to treatment centers all over the state of Texas, and La Hacienda was the last treatment center I ever had to go to. The 28 days I spent there helped save my life and gave me the foundation I needed for long term recovery. The staff genuinely care and are always available to help, encourage, and support clients through every stage of the process. The program is strongly rooted in a 12 step approach, which was exactly what I needed, while also offering specialized programming to meet different individual needs. The campus is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean, creating an environment where healing feels possible. The medical staff were also incredible and made me feel safe and cared for throughout my stay. I will always be grateful for the experience I had at La Hacienda and for the role they played in helping me rebuild my life.

Our family’s experience with LaHa left a lasting impression on me. My son first went there at a time when he wasn’t ready to embrace recovery and after that, he spent time at many other treatment centers. When he finally reached the point where he was ready to get better La Hacienda was the place he wanted to go. That spoke volumes to me. Out of everywhere he had been, La Hacienda was the place where he felt the most comfortable and cared for. It was a place that made him believe that recovery was possible. As a mother, I understood very little about addiction so I attended 4 different family programs at his various treatment centers and the one at LaHa was by far the best. When my son returned to LaHa he specifically asked his dad to attend the family session. It was here that he finally understood addiction as a disease and was given the perspective he needed to not only support our son’s recovery but his own through attending our local Alanon. We highly recommend La Hacienda.

DPR was truly an amazing experience. They genuinely care about you and your recovery journey. Lucus pours his heart into this place and it shows. I use to go to denton clinic last year and even years ago and I was honestly struggling very hard to keep up with payments and Im not here to bash... I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. Everyone is SO NICE also. Love it here.

The office manager helped me find a location where I could get my dose since I missed it on Saturday and I was so grateful for him to reach out because I finally got my dose I needed Because THEY CARE! I was a client here and stayed for 3 months. I honestly only had the intention to stay 1. Each month I agreed to extend because this place was worth it. One of my character flaws is perfectionism and I could complain about some small issues, but honestly that's irrelevant to the support and care I received. After detox, I was assigned the absolute best therapist I have ever had and several amazing recovery coaches that helped me work through my personal issues, legal problems, and my FMLA so I had a job to return to. I learned more about mental health, addictions, and coping skills then I ever expected. I met lot of amazing friends that I still keep in regular contact with since my departure and most of the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Food and facility cleanliness was also great. Overall, I had my ups and downs, but was shown to overcome them and have been thriving more than I had in a long time before arriving to windmill. God always keeps my life "interesting", but I'm glad this place came into my life.

I have been to a handful of treatment centers in Texas and just finished my residential program at Banyan. It is operated very well. The programming and structure is different than other places. I couldn’t recommend coming here enough if you need help. The property is very big, nice amenities. The tech/recovery coach to client ratio is definitely the best I’ve seen. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. When I say staff, I mean EVERYONE. I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

This is a great place i graduated residential treatment there on 6/23/26 and my caseworker Kaitie Moore helped me get into Mastermind Recovery in San Antonio Tx and one of the things that she told and showed me through Mastermind brochure that Mastermind would pay for my first month rent in their sober living $800 upon completion. Now I'm over $1000 in the hole without a way to pay it .As i weight on finishing the drug treatment PHP i get further in the red so that by the time i get the money paid for PHP approximately 3weeks after i graduated i will be approximately $2000 in the red .IOP is the next step and it is promised by mastermind that me being in IOP that would pay for 1/2 months rent of $400 leaving a $400 month balance. Here is the scam It took me 2weeks to get into PHP adding up to a negative balance of $350 plus the $100 deposit =$450 to move in The money for the promised paid for rent has to come from Africa according to the addicts that's hired on by Mastermind who controls the balance taking additional $800 in the red adding up to $1250 in the red Once i start IOP the promise by mastermind is to pay 1/2 months rent leaving $400 left over =$1100 in the red. I was placed on a renal agreement non compliance notice even though I'm broke and cant get a job because i don't have ID placing me in fear of being kicked out of sober living leaving me homeless and displace leading to RELAP and my insurance who spent money for me to get better would start all over again because its well known the success of a homeless person would not and could not determine where he would end up at at night. The recipe seems to be get as much money from my insurance company and then start me back over again and push me on to their network buddies to take more insurance money. The way that mastermind brochure explain it is that these deals for paying for rent would help success. WHY DONT THIS ADD UP?

This was my second time coming to DPR. It’s a great place to get a fresh start. Doc and Donita are the best!! They’ll make sure you get all your needs taken care of! Jason, Miss Tammy, Tajahnae, Tiara, both Amanda’s, and Seth were awesome recover coaches. Each one having different backgrounds but all can relate to the clients in some form or fashion. The nurses and providers were super sweet and made sure I got all the right medications before I left to the next part of my journey. My therapist was Andy and he helped me a lot with dealing with my past trauma from my childhood . Mrs. V is an awesome therapist as well that will give it to you straight and not care about hurting your feelings in the process!! And I believe we need that sometimes!! When I walked into Lighthouse on October 22, 2025, I had no idea what to expect. A couple days prior to my intake, I met with Austin Brown for an admissions screening. Bonded immediately and had a lot of similar experiences. I knew this was a good place for me. Then, I walked back in on October 27th, my first day of sobriety, for intake. I was nervous to say the least. Nothing in my life had gone according to plan over the past couple years, and I had really hit rock bottom the last 10 months. Reece conducted my initial intake and I got along with him great right off the bat. This meeting, immediately prior to my first IOP session at 6pm, showed me this was a serious place for recovery. I was all-in. Then came down to IOP evening sessions, 3 days a week for 3 hours. 12 week program and if you do well, you may have the opportunity to be invited back for an additional 8 week SOP program. The first thing I realized in IOP was I am not alone. There were other guys in similar positions as me and I could relate to them instantly. If not for my peers in IOP, led by our group counselors Jose and Collin, I don’t know if I would have stayed. Friendships were sparked in that room that will likely carry a lifetime. It’s all about who you surround yourself with during recovery. You need good people. Good counselors and good peers. You will get that at Lighthouse and you’ll get all the support you need along the way, in a beautiful facility.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. I cannot say enough good things about Starlite Recovery Center. This place truly helped save my life. I came here on a path of death and destruction, and Starlite gave me the opportunity to reset my life, clear my head, and honestly look at what I was doing to myself and the people I love. One of the most important parts of my recovery was rebuilding my relationship with God, and I cannot give enough credit to Ms. Pepper and the Journey Program. The Journey Program became much more than just another class for me—it became a major part of my recovery. Ms. Pepper is an amazing woman with an incredible knowledge of God and the Bible. What makes her special is her ability to take Scripture and explain it in a way that connects directly to real life, addiction, recovery, forgiveness, and becoming the person God is calling you to be. She doesn’t just teach the Bible—she helps you understand how to actually apply God’s Word to your life. Through the Journey Program, I learned that my recovery could not just be about staying sober. I needed to rebuild my life on a stronger foundation, and for me that foundation is God. The program helped me strengthen my faith, find hope and purpose again, and understand that God had not given up on me. I truly hope the Journey Program continues to grow because I believe what Ms. Pepper is doing can change lives. God deserves the credit, and I am incredibly thankful He used Ms. Pepper and the Journey Program as part of changing mine. My counselors, Sabrina and Jill, were also a huge part of my recovery. Their dedication, compassion, and knowledge of addiction and military trauma are incredible. They didn’t just focus on the addiction—they helped me dig deeper, identify the root of my problems, and build a plan for moving forward. They genuinely care about the people they are helping, and that made a tremendous difference for me. The nursing staff was amazing as well. They treated me with kindness, respect, and compassion and made sure I was cared for throughout my time here. Starlite gave me something I desperately needed: the opportunity to stop, reset my life, and choose a different path. I walked into Starlite headed toward death and destruction. I am walking out with a stronger relationship with God, a clearer understanding of myself, tools for my recovery, hope, purpose, and a new direction. To Ms. Pepper, Sabrina, Jill, the nursing staff, and everyone at Starlite who played a part in my journey—thank you. This place helped save my life, and I will forever be grateful.

Starlite Recovery is an excellent place to go for anyone stuck in active Alcohol, Drug or other types of Addiction. They also specialize in treating a variety of Mental Health Conditions. The Liberty Program for 90 Days, was exactly what I needed as a Military Retiree with deployment related MH issues, like a severe sleep disorder, Anger, and Anxiety issues, on top of my Alcohol and Drug Addiction. Active, Retired, Guard,Reserve and Veterans, as well as First Responders are welcome, and the Admissions process is excellent. Chelsea F will help you as she did me to figure out any financial overages. The Housekeeping girls, especially Ashley and Josie all were really thorough, and always ensured my room was immaculate and supplies/linens were replenished. The Liberty Program Counselors, were on top of their game, allowing me to feel, and use my own creative mind to do it my way, while ensuring I stayed as long as I truly needed to, without judgement. They really fight for you!! I had a tailored treatment plan from day one; I knew my goals, and the standards, and we agreed upon aplan to get me there , that plan was updated weekly, and loaded with plenty of balanced materials, there was a lot of personal time to exercise, or have fun, as long as we were attending our required classes. The different treatment modalities, included CBT, DBT, CPT, Equine Therapy, Anger Mgmt, a whole lot of Mindfulness, and as EMDR. individual Counseling sessions were done weekly plenty of o For those who needed Family Therapy, it is available thereas well. Teresa and Jill do a unique and wonderful job, so did Kevin and Agusta. At the Starlite Chapel, Rev. Brian T., hosts a weekly Sunday, Non-denominational service; he is available for on call emergencies. The Chow Hall was great, Joy and Staff did very well to feed us on time, and on target!! The tech, especially Jan, Dylan,Jazmine, Heidi, Tory, and others were vigilant in their jobs, keeping us all safe and accounted for. I have no regrets about going to the Premier Treatment Center of the South. Starlite has been there for me five times, this time it stuck. Lastly Jaine n Barbie were instrumental in assisting me with the placement at the Veteran Program I am currently in in Amarillo, tx that will my long term sobriety, housing placement and Continuing Education. Thank you Starlite Staff for saving my life, and honoring those we've lost along the way. God Bless all of you.

Nova is far from perfect, and some of the information can be misleading. But if you want to dive deep into the 12 Steps while enjoying good food and a beautiful scenic view, this is the place for you. The staff is great — the RAs and techs are friendly and genuinely care. The woman who runs it, however, can be unreasonable and enforces some silly rules (like not being allowed to save your food for later — insanity), but fortunately, she’s not around much. Jeff and Korn are the ones who really run the show. They have a ton of recovery experience and are both awesome guys who truly care. Jeff changed my life and helped save my marriage, so the place gets five stars from me for that reason alone. Thank you to Jeff, Korn, Cassandra, Jen, Leon Phelps, Aaron, and the rest of the staff!

This facility takes some getting used to, but overall, the program works, and I had a good experience. All of the therapists are amazing, but John has been an especially valuable addition. I do have a few recommendations that I believe could make the experience even better: More interactive groups: Adding more hands-on and interactive group activities could help combat boredom while also increasing opportunities for learning and engagement. Daily mail distribution: I strongly recommend having a staff member assigned to check and distribute mail daily. For patients, mail can truly be a lifeline, and waiting four days for it is simply too long. Improve the meals: I would strongly encourage the facility to employ a true chef—or have Emily work full-time. The meals can be beyond disappointing at times, and improving the quality of the food would make a significant difference in the overall patient experience. Respect and compassion from all staff: I would encourage all employees, not just the techs and therapists, to remember that patients are human beings who are struggling and deserve to be treated with dignity, patience, and respect. I also continue to believe that animal therapy would be a fantastic addition to the program. The comfort and therapeutic benefits animals can provide could be incredibly valuable for patients. Overall, I had a good experience and believe the program works. With a few improvements, I think the facility could make an already valuable program even more supportive and effective for the people who need it most.

I am a recent graduate from the program, and it is the best place if you really want to succeed in recovery. The Techs down at the Elmo house in College Station are highly trained and definitely understand every situation a client has upon entry. They treat you with respect and compassion. The are patient with each person. No matter the reason you check in, they offer all the tools you need to reach sobriety and teach you how to get by each and every day. Kay, Lynn, Jamie, Sarah, Josh, Jessie, and the overnight techs are the best of the best. They even have great, professional Therapists to help your mental state improve, as well as 24/7 medical staff on sight to help you physically. The house is very clean and has plenty of room so you don't feel like prisoner, you feel at home. Great location and a nice swimming pool to relax in. The food is catered so you never go hungry. They pay attention to you and work individually to help your needs. They have outings and you go to meetings and if you want to, they take you to church every Sunday. Overall it helped me tremendously and I would recommend MTR Treatment Program to anyone who is ready to put down drugs and alcohol for good. I love that place and will always hold a huge place in my heart for kick-starting my sobriety journey.

Staff is great but need more support/ new hires that care as they do. Residents are a mixed bag just like folks in the “real world” and I’m getting what I put into it and then some. If you like sammiches for lunch, and want to work on your recovery, this is the place for you! Keep in mind that recovery is not glamorous, you may be uncomfortable, but growth comes from discomfort.
