My mother was transported there for rehab a week ago. The aides was horrible the food was horrible and cold and she was suppose to be there for rehab but they put her on the dementia unit not rehab. That place should be shut down. I got her out there quick. I really think an investigation need to be done asap

I had the pleasure of coming to visit my father in law on station 4, yesterday with my husband to take care of finances. The business staff, the nurses, and aides are all WONDERFUL!! However, the verbal abuse that I have heard verbatim, and the staff had to endure from the dietary “manager” over asking for necessities such as juice and tea when everyone in the common area (was given coffee) no juice, cold tea, or water on trays. The aides called for assist, and he comes raging, yelling in the presence of my father, the patients, the workers and CUSSES them all out telling them they have a “SHIT TON” of drinks in the medication room etc… Excuses. A very hostile, tense environment. Bullying. $30000 bill for this????? Snacks for two days were asked for … until Thursday it was an empty. They showed us. They called asked for them on speaker, he said “NO! THE AIDES EAT ALL THE SNACKS!” No? Speech therapy gave her own oatmeal pie then bother ask. As a compliance officer myself , I understand how somethings can be overlooked but this is a dealbreaker. Sometimes all they have to look forward to are meals and socialization. The staff was speaking of leaving, and I wish I could safely transition my father somewhere else. I could never recommend this place to anyone. The one star is for the workers who showed up to work on Friday, after being humiliated and berated for trying to advocate for their residents the day before. Compliance line is next, Department of Health complaint, followed by a letter to the Attorney General.

My wife was transported from the hospital to River's Bend Health and Rehab Center's dementia unit in June. When I got to her room, I found that the bed had no remote controls and was flat. My wife had neck surgery years ago and could no longer lie flat in a bed. I brought this to the attention of her caretaker as well as having no TV remote. Within an hour, Bill the maintenance man was in the room checking the bed. Bill was very polite & excused himself as he looked under the bed to see what was needed to control the bed. He returned with various controls & found they would not work. In a few minutes he was back with the foot board control that operated the bed. He then brought the remote for the TV. He apologized for the inconvenience. I found the care staff to be comforting & caring. Every time I come in to visit my wife, the staff is smiling & interacting with the patients. When I visit my wife, she is clean as well as her cloths. After taking care of my wife in her condition for over a year, I know how difficult it is to care for her. These girls are doing an awesome job caring for her and the other patients. I have been visiting my wife at lunch & supper time and observed that they are getting plenty to eat and getting properly balanced meals. I received a phone call from the River's Bend doctor & nurse practitioner that he the doctor would be seeing her twice per week and the nurse practitioner would be there 5 days per week. This was very comforting for me. Lauren, the Director of Admissions was very nice and comforting when I met with her. She helped me through the paperwork and assured me that my wife would get good care. I met with the other administration officials and found them to be helpful and comforting as well. I know that my wife is getting good care here. I thank all of you for your hard work and caring.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Please please do not ever bring a family here. The administration is horrible and does not care about your loved ones. You are just a bed to them. Residents are mistreated and abused
