This place is a joke. Contact Counseling is supposed to help people with drug and alcohol issues, but it s clear they re more interested in making money than actually helping anyone. If you re court-ordered, expect to be pushed into expensive classes whether you actually have a problem or not. They assume guilt without any real evaluation or understanding of your situation. They heavily rely on the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) test a tool intended for initial screening, not definitive diagnosis. Proper use of the SASSI involves supplementing its results with detailed clinical evaluations to accurately determine the presence of a substance use disorder . At Contact Counseling, there was a noticeable overdependence on this test without the necessary personalized follow-up, leading to recommendations for expensive classes regardless of individual circumstances. The staff didn t listen, didn t ask meaningful questions, and treated me like just another number. It felt like a one-size-fits-all system where the goal is to get as many people enrolled in classes as possible not to provide support, guidance, or even fairness. They don t seem to care if you actually need help, just that you re willing (or forced) to pay for it.To make matters worse at the initial evaluation (which of course at the time was recommended to bring cash over card) while using the restroom Hank decided it was appropriate to target and speak with my girlfriend privately without my presence even though the situation had nothing to do with her. In doing so it made her uncomfortable and left us both with a feeling of disrespect and unprofessionalism. One week later at the first session Hank didn t even remember who I was. Talk about a personal experience. If you re seeking genuine support and fair evaluation, I would advise looking elsewhere. This organization appears more focused on profit than providing the individualized care and respect that clients deserve and are happy to fill their CASH register in the process.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I feel hopeless and don't know what to do in order to be able to recover, after only two weeks the people at this place told me I wasn't going to be able to recover. Of course they made me feel like I genuinely wasn't going to be able to do it.

I, will say a very professional and family oriented counseling service. It's a place that you do feel welcomed. I was supposed to be there legally, but it turned into something that I looked forward too. My counselor showed me other ways to live and actually be happy. Hank really knows how to get people involved in what they are doing. I didn't know that I was making friends for life when I started attending Contact Counseling.

the people and programs at Contact Counseling are tremendous for people who actually want to be able to manage the disease of addiction. Its a place for people who are serious about their recovery so I can only assume the people who are writing -ve reviews are those who aren't really trying to get sober. I would highly recommend contact counseling to anybody

The people at Contact Counseling are professional and extremely knowledgeable about addiction recovery. I recently finished my treatment program and my life is finally transformed to a place where I can live sober, happy and productively. Reading other reviews makes me want to say that CC is NOT out for your money. They genuinely care about a client's well-being and recovery, and will be there for the duration, which is forever. Hank is a well-trained, warm-hearted counselor who has made all the difference in my recovery. Thank you Contact Counseling for everything you have done for me!

I have referred many people to Contact Counseling and had the best experience moreover, they really care about each individual client w/out being money centric. When,I called them for assistance they have been very supportive and helpful. Steve and Hank have gone beyond my expectations of being a very credible and professional center.
