5 and a half years sober and still angry about the way I was treated at Northpoint Seattle and believe the management seriously needs retraining. Counselors were great at the beginning but as soon as they found out I was court mandated they became passive aggressive, rude, and dismissive of my attempts to be sincere during counseling sessions. If I didn't get transferred out and finished treatment at evergreen recoveries I probably would have relapsed. Inpatient facility was great but Seattle Northgate needs new staff.

Dr. Scott is a knowledgeable, interesting, complex, spiritual, compassionate, and amazing human being. I have been working with him for a year now and he has provided a safe space for me to uncover areas of myself that I unknowingly have neglected and ignored for years.
When you work with Dr. Scott, you will not receive a bunch of babble and incoherent jargon that leaves you more confused and feeling further away from healing. Instead, you will be met with some basic and fundamental core principals of what it means to be a kind human being and learn how to embrace who you really are and nurture yourself to become who you want to be.
If you believe that therapy would help you, I highly recommend you pay Dr. Scott a visit.

The staff is kind and have patience. Be good to them and they are even better to you. This is detox people, it's not the 4 seasons hotel. If u want it that way, then spend $ getting that kind of treatment or vote for more funding from the government to help the facilities that are trying to help addicts. They can only do so much with resources they have. Regardless....we're the addicts and no one to blame but ourselves and at least there are people out there trying to help us *which should be nothing more than appreciated! | reSTART Life Bellevue Campus is located in Bellevue, Washington. They offer residential treatment, partial hospitalization treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and traditional outpatient services for adolescents and young adults who are struggling with behavioral addictions. Their primary focus is on helping people overcome tech addictions. r | Programs Payment Options | I attended ReStart in Dec 2016 to 2017. The structure of the inpatient program really helped to fill the time that gaming and tech had taken (which was every waking minute of every day for many years for me, I felt like an extreme case).
Taking the time to sit in the present moment and day was something that was simple yet something I really never did since I was 12. I entered when I was 24, nearly 25. I'm 33 now. Restart showed me how great life could be with people who struggled with their own problems. None of them had the exact pattern I did but they had their troubles with tech use as a distraction from family and school issues.
Therapy 1 on 1 really helped to dive into why I turned to gaming. Dr. Cash was really understanding and suggested various books and 12 step meetings to attend. I attend those meetings to this day.
Crossfit really helped to get my body moving when I was in restart and it really lifted my depression.
The most invaluable part is still being friends and near people who were in the program when I was. As time has gone on, some people have moved further away but there is still a core of us who live a healthy and social life together and have progressed further into our work lives and schools than we probably never imagined accomplishing.
If you as a teen or young adult thinks you have an issue with tech and you can't stop, I'd really recommend ReStart if you want to get out of those chains and get the tools to live a full and healthy life.
If you are a parent with a kid who has tech issues around VR or gaming or something that takes up enormous amounts of time in your child's day and life, maybe reStart is the place to look. I'd make sure you're limiting tech time from a young age before they are teens. I was in that situation as a teen and I found so many work arounds. My mom tried. I was lost at that point.
Restart gave me a chance to restart my life in a sense. Free from the chains of gaming. That's not to say I've had my fair share of relapses, but now I have the recipe so to speak and that first step is accepting help when I cannot do this alone.
Get help if you're stuck like I was. Time is too precious to let slip by.
I suffer from agoraphobia and have an intense fear of open areas. I imagine that was due to the amount of time I spent indoors and such. The tools at reStart and time away from gaming allowed me to feel comfortable enough to go out for a hike at Mailbox Peak in 2018 or 2019 and climb 90% of the way up. The attached picture is from that hike. It's thanks to reStart that I was able to do that as well as the friends I made from the program. I'm really grateful.
For anyone with questions about my experience feel free to reach out.

Overall, a very very helpful environment. The staff were incredible, therapists and direct care alike, and I made tremendous personal progress through my stay in the program. The best part of restart is the individualized care and 1 on 1 therapy that every client gets. There's a lot of meeting you where you're at, and working at base level problems, past just the addiction that I found invaluable. The LBP is the program's biggest weakness with how "one size fits all" it appears to be, however I was glad to find that I was able to change it to fit my needs. I just wish that it were written with this in mind, as it feels something like a relic of the past in the current environment of the restart program. Groups are very hit or miss, as they can be very productive and interesting or spiral off into endless tangents based on the clientele and how well the therapist leading it can moderate discussion. The program is also very LGBT friendly, and I met the most supportive and awesome people there, both clients and staff.

Would have rated one star if it weren't for the fact that this hospital has a financial assistance program. Otherwise, spent 4 hours trying to keep my nose pinched with my hands for a life-threatening nosebleed in the ER waiting room, only to have luckily managed to stop the bleeding in time to be looked at by a doctor, with her CELL PHONE FLASHLIGHT up my nose. For that amount of time I spent in the ER waiting room, I expected more high tech equipment than a cell phone flashlight [in the ER] to be used to look up my nose. Will be investigating any other hospital that has financial assistance before I need to actually go to an ER. The overall experience I had at this hospital was severely traumatizing. Aside from the fact that despite signs saying to not use cell phones and a woman incessantly talking on her cell phone [talking about severe medical situations] for half the time not being told to get off her phone. Low-rate experience overall.

The center also provides valuable community services, including case management and community referrals. Addiction services include mental health assessments and counseling, outpatie | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I graduated the 28 day program on June 2nd, 2025. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself and everyone here is dedicated, caring and beyond helpful. I had a wonderful group of community members which made this experience so great. You get out of this what you put in so don't believe any of these nasty reviews. Also the food is AMAZING.
My counselor Jamie was top notch. She focused my sessions and homework on who I am individually. She didn't just go off of a document and doled out boilerplate information. She took the time to curate something special just for me, that she knew would speak to my experience. She went out of her way to make sure that I was being heard and understood and provided support that I never felt in active addiction.
The floor staff here are so wonderful and caring!
Rosa is a gift from the heavens to mankind and always made sure that everyone had everything they needed. She cares deeply about everyone who goes through that program. She made me feel special and loved in a point in my life where I couldn't do that for myself. She is a true blue good person and I am so thankful to have had my time with her. I love her so much and would take a bullet for her!
Joselyn is the sweetest human being on earth. She takes time out of her day to make sure you are okay and offer her help should you need anything. She's also relatable and kind and never made you feel like a patient. She treated you with respect and warmth.
Jen is a laugh riot and could make our whole group erupt into laughter even after a particularly heavy or emotional class or group session. She also cares so deeply for everyone's recovery and makes you feel safe. She made me cry during my graduation because she was so proud of me.
Angie was our mom. She maintained order but also went out of her way to make you feel welcome, that all of your needs were met and that you didn't go without. She was also HILARIOUS and was able to diffuse any situation with a smile and a joke.
Megan the Discharge Coordinator is a true force of nature. She is a self described bull dog and fights tooth and nail every day to make sure everyone has housing, funding and a safe place to go post recovery. I saw her come in on her days off several times just to help a single person. There is a reason Turning Point has 100% placement and that is Megan.
Taryn is my favorite person on earth and deserves an award. She helped me so immensely with my recovery. Taryn taught me the ins and outs of meetings and how to prepare for life once outside the treatment bubble. She helped me find housing and meetings near me and I can't thank her enough for her dedication and support. She keeps everyone laughing and in a good mood and is such a kind positive spirit that can make you feel loved and cared about even in your darkest of times. Thank you so much Taryn! Love her so so much!
Sea MarTurning Point is an amazing program because it is run with a level respect and dignity for all who attend. So often in the mental health or medical field there is a huge disconnect between staff and clients. Where some view people in recovery as just work or something that they have to deal with in their job.
Not at all true for Turning Point. They are involved, they are dedicated and they truly care about everyone that comes through there. You will never feel like a burden or patient which is so important as my own view of myself going into treatment was awful. If you are looking for a treatment program look no further.

ReSTART uses proven research development knowledge along with creative social interactive methods to encourage their clients toward change. One of the reasons I believe it is so effective is that it focuses on self-challenging perceptions, client peer accountability and support, staff who understand addiction and who truly care about their clients, not to mention multiple new experiences that foster an improved self image.
At times clients coming into reSTART are apprehensive, scared, afraid of change, angry and many other feelings that go along with self-discovery. However, they are embraced with patience, understanding and acceptance. My experience with reSTART has been life changing and I am truly thankful for those who have dedicated their time and effort to help those in our communities who are suffering from this painful life-changing addiction. I will be forever grateful to reSTART.

But don't bother calling sat, sun, mon, they are closed. So yes it this clinics hours needs to be updated. Other then that their great.

He is an incredible provider. With his knowledge in meds and supportive therapy plus his humor it has helped me become a different person. He explains everything in detail about my medications and the progress I’ve made under his care has genuinely changed my life. To be honest, some of the other people I have seen here before didn’t help, and I felt like I wasnt making any progress. But since switching to Lance, it has been the best decision. The difference has been truly night and day with my experience here.. He listens, and he actually cares about me. The building is a bit run down and smells funny, but that doesn’t even matter since my experience has changed. I’m grateful for everything he has done for me and I will continue to recommend him to ANYONE!! looking for a genuine and CARING provider who actually listens!!!

I have been to many treatment facilities in my life and have never found the right program... Until now. I am currently in IOP here and this competent and amazing team of councilors and peer specialists have worked with me in a way that has changed my life so profoundly that I can't ever thank them enough. This program has given me the ability to live the rest of my life free from substance dependence. I've never been happier in my life and I am so grateful to say, I no longer desire to be anything other than who I am today.
Thank you saving me from me!
