If anyone has been to other places in need of help and just been treated like another face or number this is not one of those places.. Lifeline genuinely care and have true concern for you and your well-being. I walked in here and they were nice and listened and gave great advice and always looking towards the next step to continually help you not just a one time thing. We all know the look you get from places like this when you're down on your luck and in need of help but they don't look at you like that because most have travelled the road we have. I do recommend stoping in and just talk to someone of your needs, wants and the next step you're trying to get to and you'll find a empathetic face, a sympathetic ear and a safe hug to let you know they'll go the extra mile to ensure that those needs are met and have an ongoing relationship to make sure you are on track. Try them out!

I first came to Clarity seeking SUD services to control my drinking. I worked with Max Whipple III, who is very friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable about addiction. He gave me some great tips and tools that I use daily. As time went on, it became apparent that I needed more mental health focused services and I had to switch to a dual-certified counselor to deal with symptoms. I am now working with Kelly Frost, and he has helped me greatly on my road to recovery. He is very in-tune with what services are available in Bellingham, which services accept which insurances, and of course he knows all about addiction, suffering, and mental health issues as well. He compassionately worked with me through my long-held traumas, as well as newer ones. He pushes me to be the best person I can be, to stay active and connected with the local community, and he helped me reconnect to my spiritual side which has brought me a great deal of serenity. I will forever be grateful for the tools I have learned in coming here, and I look forward to my sessions every week.

My daughter was there for a month, despite the fact that their methods are strict, there are people who make an effort to help those who enter, my daughter is very difficult to accept or want to return to a place where she is treated badly but I was surprised to see that she did not want to leave the visions, telling her that the help she needs is correcting is different, I appreciate the efforts of the director and the therapist who at that moment clarified questions that I had, they were in communication all the time, I recommend this place, I hope that this place continues to grow since they are There are few rehabilitation centers that teach the importance of self-esteem and sincere friendship. I took the task of investigating the past of this place and it has bad comments but I think that is in the past and the new director is working on it. I would give more stars.

I attended vision in year of 2014. This treatment facility would quite remember me. During my stay there was alot of difficulties I delt with and made a slight commotion. This isn't a luxury stay, your housed with girls from all round the state, and it's a privilege based rewards to go outside. It's designed to make you think about how you want to change your life and never experience your freedom being taken from you again. There was no English music, birthdays got celebrated (a slice of cake for each girl), the year I was in we all had such good behavior as a group we had an olympics and went outside often. We were only allowed basic Hanes gray crew neck, t-shirt and sweats. Only time your not in that if it's summer they provide knee length shorts, and if your put on suicide watch. For obvious reasons they need to watch out for self harm. Every meal you dine with two units. Once your out of main unit you get clothing privileges, outing privileges, and meetings once a day, horse riding. I'm truly thankful for visions. I know many girls that led healthy beautiful life's that went through this program. This program could use donations or fundraising for better supplies/clothing for the girls. That's the only thing I could say negative about this place.

I was here september 18th- december 19th 2022 which is only 3 months and is way shorter than how long i was supposed to be there. im about a year and a half clean from my doc, which i never thought i was gonna do. but being in visions was rough. not being to touch anybody at all, rarely being able to go outside, not being able to wear your own clothes for the first 4-6 months and having the exact same weekly schedule for 3 months did take a toll on my mental health and kinda drive me crazy. the first month was the worst. but then month 2 and three were better. i got used to the place and the people in it. either way if you dont wanna be helped and changed then this isnt going to work. and you arent going to stay clean. but if you do want to change and get better then you have to put in the work to do so. getting a good priv, doing all your treatment work, talking openly to your therapists. this place is really hard work, but it is effective if you want it to be.- anna

Lake whatcom helped my son when the governmentsystems failed. He has done so much better. The place isn't perfect, they are as perfect as they can be, considering all they do. Initially my son thought it was the best place because of the bad state he was in. Now that he is better his expectations are higher and doesn't think it is as good. I remind him how much Lake Whatcom helped and how bad things were prior. He is better now so it looks different now. They still saved his life and helped when all the other systems in place failed. The Clearing is a non-12 step, dual diagnosis, residential treatment program that focuses on healing the underlying core issues causing the addiction. The Clearing understands that addiction is not about the substance and it is not about character or will power. The Clearing’s participants join a small closed group, that begins and ends t
Our family member was an attendee at The Clearing beginning July 2019. She had attended six 12 step inpatient rehab programs over the past 10 years and only experienced short term abstinence after each program. During the times she was "clean" it was through sheer will power. As a dear friend once said: "While she was in AA meetings, her addiction was out in the parking lot doing push-ups". Then this same friend recommended The Clearing. Several things struck us as different right away. Our family member was interviewed by the owners to see if the program was a good fit. Then, we learned that all participants start at the same time. They are on the journey together without new participants joining intermittently during the 28 days. Finally, this was the first place that REALLY looked at co-diagnosis. Other places gave lip service to treating co-diagnoses and gave 2-4 hours of counseling during a twenty eight day stay. At the clearing there was 120 hours of counseling. This is unheard of and in our hearts we know that this is what allowed our loved one to finally get to the bottom of her pain. Our family training is allowing us to better walk her new life with her and for that we are grateful. The post program support has made a huge difference in her confidence. We finally have our dear family member back and for that we will be forever grateful.

The Clearing is a TREMENDOUS program. I had went for anxiety, depression, disorganized eating. I didn't have a drug or alcohol addiction but it didn't matter. All traumas are addressed from the underlying core emotional issues. The program requires you to give your all. There is 6 days a week work, starting with tai chi, workshop, meditation, 1:1 counseling and more. You will thoroughly learn the process to uncovering your hurt and how to heal. The staff is amazing. There are no judgements, no shame, just healing peace. The grounds are fantastic, the animals are therapeutic, the food is out of this world. The key is to pour your heart and soul into this process, that's what makes this so transformative. You realize you have everything you need to heal right inside of you once you understand how to get there. There is support from staff and the other participants every step of the way. You are never alone in your healing. Make the phone call or text, ask every question, do your due diligence and you will not be let down. You are truly loved; from day 1 and long after you leave the grounds The Clearing is there for you and your family.

Encouraging, educated staff at the Clearing form personal bonds with every participant. The curriculum is advanced, for individuals ready to work on themselves and grow while they overcome addictions and their underlying issues. Be prepared to do a lot of writing, self forgiveness, and emotional release, this is not your average recovery facility in the best of ways. Information is redially available on the education and backgrounds of each staff member, with licenses posted on the walls of the classroom and inside the house. Individual counselors are skilled and attentive to each individual, with individual sessions scheduled throughout the week and move with the curriculum in terms of content and discussions. Individual rooms are comfortably fernished and welcoming, meals are prepared by professionals who foster a family-table setting environment, and provide unique dishes for varying tastes. (Vegetarians and Vegans are catered too and never go hungry.) Meditation and Tai Chi are welcome events of the day, with opportunity for physical and mental growth through relationships formed with the dedicated instructors.Aftercare is superior. Contact with past participants, those of your individual cohort, and with staff members is fostered long after you leave the facility.Bags are checked, but personal freedom is always #1 with staff members. Phones are allowed during specific times during the week, movie nights are savored, books are passed between participants with joy and contact with your authentic self is re-established. Spirituality is favored in parts of the curriculum, but specific faiths or denominations don t matter at all. Agnostic people are welcome. Not to mention, The Clearing doubles as a sanctuary for retired farm animals that add to the experience exponentially. Goats, ducks, horses, cats, and sheep are available to feed and love.

Mount Vernon, WA Community-based Outpatient Clinic (MV CBOC) has some of THE BEST service I have experienced in healthcare and I want to specifically give a shout out to the newer gal in labs as well as the entire Sequoia Team. These folks really do try to meet and exceed the same sorts of expectations I felt we all tried to meet or exceed in the Navy which were rooted in the premise that, whatever it is, we "leave it better than we found it." Add to that philosophy a general approach of compassion, curiosity, persistence and kindness and you get a wonderful mix I wish all Skagitonians could feel in all pursuits of better health for themselves. I do not typically write reviews or post publicly and I want to share this mostly because people doing superb work are not always seen for their hard work because they are also people who push boundaries and tend to establish new standards in doing so. Some folks don't like it when standards change because they have to up their game. I am VERY fortunate to benefit directly from the VA's overall Continuous Improvement Measures and I am EXTREMELY PROUD to have SUCH PROFESSIONALS providing this five-star service direct to our community's veterans and THANK YOU MVCBOC for not stopping at getting the job done, but for pushing to show us all what quality healthcare COULD be. Thank you to you all!

I was myself a patient at this place from late July to mid September. From the first day, the staff were not only friendly...and I can name them all by name, and point out every one of their special qualities..but the point of my review is to praise all the staff for their team work, not individual work..but an ability to maintain the peace, despite attitudes of different individuals, and provide a safe and comprehensive atmosphere to begin a new life, not simply sober...but a better person while being sober. I m not sure why there seems to be so many negative reviews. We ve been getting care here for a while now and almost everyone has been caring and respectful. I will say that time management is something they can improve on. The last 3 or so years for me have been basically a trip to see the doc about this or that. What can I say~Yaya I know! Gettin older~:) The Doctors that work for Skagit Regional are top notch! Period! From the first office visit I have never been treated so nicely and just had that feel of comfort and knowledge when talking to the Doctors there. I like that they treat you very well but they are very straight forward and simple about things and tell ya how it is. And the way they break it down is easy to understand i tell myself thats exactly what i was thinkin. :)I've seen a few~Sleep medicine,Ear Nose and Throat~( Hi Doctor Mullen! ) :) I've also been seen at the Skagit Gastroenterology center and the clinics Orthopedic center and the Physical therapy department. All very nice and knowledgeable and are easy to talk too. Thank you all! Really, you guys are doin a Great Job! I HIGHLY recommend Skagit Regional Clinics to people I know that may be looking for a Doctor. They have all came back with nothing but good things to say. Stay Healthy! ~Peace!

I was seen by my doctor Jared Lampert for my three month check up. We talked about my blood workup and different things with the blood draw. I really like Dr. Lampert. He listens very well and we have very good conversations about my health. I had Dr. Lucianna, then he retired, that's how Dr.Lampert became my doctor. I am so glad we hit it off from the beginning. I am a lucky man.
