About MedMark Treatment Centers Cherry Hill

MedMark Treatment Centers Cherry Hill is located in Baltimore, Maryland. Here, they treat opioid addiction in adults. This center understands the challenges of opioid addiction and tailors its opioid treatment program to the needs of the individual, equipping them with the tools and resources they need to break free from their addiction.

Taking that first step toward recovery can be the hardest, but MedMark Treatment Centers Cherry Hill is near public transportation routes, specifically a bus route. This gives you easy access to the center, making seeking treatment easier. The MTA bus route is known as Local Link 26 and Local Link 71. In addition, the facility is near major thoroughfares like Rt. 95, RT 295, and Hanover Street and the center is accessible by light rail.

You’ll primarily encounter medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and counseling at this center. One of the medications you might find suitable is methadone. Regularly taking methadone can help prevent relapse and the center offers a comprehensive approach to its methadone treatment to provide the most recovery assistance possible.

If methadone is a no-go for you, then you might be a suitable candidate for buprenorphine treatment. This medication is best suited to those who need help managing the physical side effects of opioid withdrawal. Managing the physical side effects of addiction gives you a better chance of overcoming recovery’s emotional and mental aspects.

Regardless of which medication you are eligible for, you should also expect individual and group counseling while undergoing MAT. Individual counseling involves one-on-one personalized treatment while group counseling helps you recover in a group setting with others going through similar life circumstances.

In addition, you should expect a wide range of support services here. Some of these services include case management, medical assessments and testing, coordinated pregnancy treatment, addiction and relapse prevention education, and referrals to community resources.

You might also love learning that Baltimore and the Cherry Hill area are conducive to recovery. This means that when you enroll at the center, you can expect to enjoy the area’s natural therapy opportunities, including the TreeBaltimore initiative, which provides nature therapy, and the area’s parks. One of the parks you can visit while in recovery includes Leakin Park, where there is plenty of space to practice personal reflection and exercise, which is phenomenal for overcoming addiction.

Besides nature therapy, there are also school opportunities for adults that you can capitalize on during your journey to sobriety. For example, the South Baltimore Adult High School, located at 946 W. Patapsco Avenue, provides educational programs for adults seeking to further their education.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

They are posted to open at 4:30am there are days we stand in line in the rain outside of the building until 6:30 waiting to be dosed. They have no regards for the stability of the lives of their clients. The purpose of a MAINTENANCE program is to help clients achieve and maintain a normal stable lifestyle by providing them with their medication in a timely manor so they can go about the rest of their day without becoming sick from withdrawal symptoms. All week this week not one day did they open their doors on time, resulting in multiple people being late for work because they’re not able to get their employees in on time.

This is the worst methadone Program ever. They can’t get a nurse to come in on time to medicate clients it makes people late for work daily basisAnd then when you complain about the problem they degrade you and insult you and call you names and these are not clients that are doing this but the receptionists

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
We are sorry to hear this and thank you for letting us know. We will check with the clinic leadership on this.

I love this program. With their help and my determination I've been clean for 12+ years. Mrs.Hope and Mrs.Michelle are superstars. The other nurses are awesome too(Lynette) I've never had an issue with my counselors, they've all worked with me. A few months back I had an issue and filed a grievance. The director called me back within 1 business day. She LISTENED to me and assured me thing would be taken care of. So far she's been true to her word. The only reason I deducted 1 star is the amount of times I've been switched back to liquid. I'd have preferred to stay on the 40mg wafers/diskettes even wetted. The liquid gives me such terrible GI issues and has my blood sugar #s skyrocketing. All I can hope is that one day they will bring them back or I find a clinic close that has them. I mean you already had to have 2 weeks or more of take homes, I don't see what the issue was. I recommend this clinic to anyone that asks me about where to go. I even recommend to people that used to go to the old building (Glass/Daybreak)

I would have given them more stars until recently! For 1, Ms. Hope & Ms. Michelle are the backbone of this program & they alone deserve 5 stars each!!!! But they do not get the appreciation or recognition they deserve! We have to be to work at 6:00 am & get to program at 4:15 am, to be in line when they open at 4:30 am so we have enough time. Sadly, we are never out in time, because of either 1. The Urine Tech lady is never on time. Or 2. The nurse who is doing wafers, is not ready. We shouldn’t have to wait til after 5-5:30 at times to get medicated or leave a urine. Now if you get Ms. Michelle, you’re good! She is beyond professional, knowledgeable & has a heart! She actually cares about us. I have seen her do more then she should have to too. Mr. Michelle & Ms. Hope both deserve a raise! Ms. Hope, what can I say... she is amazing! She does everything! I have literally seen her do so many peoples jobs, from nurses to Counsler’s to the Urine tech! When something needs to be done, she does it with no complaints! I don’t know how she does it. Then, my most recent complaint, they put you on the 40 mg wafers, get you use to them, knowing they hold you longer & they also help me with my Spinal Stenosis, L Spine Disorder & more. Now, they are taking them! First they give us a paper saying we will still get the Wafers, but they will be put in water. I’m fine with that! I don’t sell my medicine (which is why they said they are doing this. So they bad few mess it up for all) & I put my wafers in O.J or Sunny D anyways at home, so no big deal, but then the nurse tells me “No, you will get this, (while pointing to the liquid, pink Methadone) a pink liquid methadone”. So now, here I am, a month to find a new doctor so I can keep my wafers & not go back to something that 1. Didn’t hold me. 2. Made me throw up almost daily! 3. Didn’t help my physical disabilities like the wafers do. In the past I’ve had to be on many different western meds, but now only on my methadone & medical cannabis (I have my medical cannabis card!) no western meds at all!!! Another complaint, recently, I received 3 call backs, 3 months in a row! I asked the program to please not do a call back this one particular month, because I was going to be in N.Y again helping my friend & I would be there all month. I was there 3 months total. Her father passed & she had to go to Fl for 3 months... anywho, they still gave me a callback! I had to pay $74 in tolls! I even showed the nurse & my counselor the toll receipts from N.Y, N.J, DE & MD! For someone whose been clean as long as I have, you would think they’d treat me like a human, but nope.... only a handful of people there show us respect! There are a few good counselors like Mr. Rob, Mr. Page, we use to have Ms. Reese & Mr. John & Ma. Rusty & Ms. Judy & Ms. Charity (miss them!) & a few others.

your dose is constantly watered down, there is no reason why a 110mg dose should only hold you for 4 hours then your in hard withdraw. they have to make due with half staff cause most of the nurses dont show up. you go early to make it to work having to get in line at 3am cause people who don't work show up early and then you have to wait for the urine tech or counselors to show up so you still end up late for work. they need to get it together cause its its your constantly being ripped off

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
We strive to deliver the best care possible to all our patients. A proper dose in methadone treatment is different for each patient. During the first stages of recovery, we’ll ask clients to visit the clinic every day. A physician will work with clients to find a dosage that relieves withdrawal symptoms. We value your feedback and want to thank you for taking the time to share it. Please contact our customer care team at (410) 354-2800 to discuss your experience further.
