About Sober Partners Network

During medical detox, patients are monitored and medical staff are available to provide treatment for withdrawal symptoms. Once detox is complete, some patients benefit from MAT, which allows those struggling with opioid or alcohol use to use FDA-approved medication longer-term. This can help manage cravings and lower the risk of relapse.

Residential treatment services at Sober Partners Network include individual and group therapy, 12 Step meetings, addiction education, medication management, MAT, and relapse prevention. When not in treatment, residents can participate in a variety of activities such as yoga, kickball, softball, bowling, weekly hikes, and beach days.

When treatment ends, Sober Partners helps residents connect to appropriate outpatient programs and sober living arrangements and offers follow-up and fun activities for those in the area.

Sober Partners Network accepts a variety of insurance plans, such as Beacon, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UMR, and United Healthcare. Insurance plans vary, so be sure to verify coverage details and out-of-network benefits directly with your insurer.

★★★★★ My time at Sober Partners will always be one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. I came in during a time when I was hurting and uncertain about what my future looked like. I didn’t know who I was or what was my purpose in life. What I found there was compassion, patience, structure, and people who truly cared about me as a human being. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported in a way that helped me start believing in myself again. What makes Sober Partners so special is the people. The staff show up with real heart. There were moments when I doubted myself and even wanted to leave, but they continued to encourage me to stay, trust the process, and keep going even when it felt hard. That kind of support makes a real difference in recovery. The environment is structured, supportive, and full of people who genuinely understand the recovery journey. I felt seen, respected, and encouraged every step of the way. Instead of feeling like just another client, I felt like someone whose life truly mattered. This program helped me build a real foundation for my sobriety and for a healthier, more stable life moving forward. The accountability, guidance, and sense of community gave me the support I needed to take the next steps in my recovery with hope and confidence. A huge thank you to the incredible team who supported me along the way: Amy, Brandon, Christian, Cortney, Danny, Erryk 😜, Hailey, Jack, Jimmy, Maddie, Michaela, Mariah, Margot, Meghan, Mel, Mike, Patrick, Robert, Ruben, Scott, Victoria, and anyone I may have forgotten (my brain is still healing!). And of course Andrew for the leadership and vision that makes Sober Partners such a special place. I’m deeply grateful for the love, support, patience, and encouragement I received here. Sober Partners helped me through an incredibly difficult time in my life, and I will always be thankful for everyone who walked alongside me on this part of my recovery journey. 💛 I also have to share how incredibly special this place has been for my dog, Stella. She’s not just a pet—she’s my service dog and my whole heart—and Sober Partners embraced her in a way I will never forget. They didn’t just “allow” her… they truly loved her. Before coming here, Stella’s world was very small. It was mostly just the two of us, and she lived a pretty isolated life alongside me. But being here changed that completely. She got to be around people, experience new energy, and learn how to just be a dog in the world—not just my protector, but her own little being. Watching her open up, become more social, more curious, more confident… it meant everything to me. It felt like we were both healing and growing side by side. I will forever be grateful to Sober Partners for loving her, nurturing her, and helping her come out of her shell just as much as they helped me.💕🫶🏼

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Fitness therapy blends exercise with psychotherapy for a fun, inspiring, and effective way of treating addiction and other issues. By incorporating movement into counseling sessions, clients become more empowered, motivated, and goal-oriented, all while strengthening their bodies and becoming more flexible. Fitness Therapy is usually used to complement a course of treatment (inpatient or outpatient) to make it even more successful. Increasing the connection between a patient’s mind and body helps both with healing as well as in creating new, healthy habits.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

I believe that Sober Partner's saved my life. I had been drinking heavily for the past 5-6 years to the point where black outs were a nightly ritual. I kept making the excuses that I could not get help because I had nobody who would watch my 16-year-old Pomeranian, Minion and I could not possibly surrender him. That's where Sober Partner's stepped in. They are a dog friendly facility where they understand that our pets need to be part of our healing journey. A lot of places will state that they are pet friendly, but Sober Partner's truly is. I did not arrive, in my best state and neither did Minion and we were both scared and had a hard time settling in at first. The staff stepped in almost immediately and gave Minion a bath while I was recovering. I wish I had the pictures to share, but they treated Minion with such care and love when I was unable to do so. Granted, they are not groomer's but stepped in when my little love needed some additional support. I did not initially take suggestions nor advice during my first trip and sadly relapsed. My family tried to convince me to try a larger treatment facility near them in NJ and I was extremely unhappy and didn't feel I was getting the care that I needed. It took a lot but the staff at SPN helped me navigate my way out and back to SPN. The second time, I was determined to do things differently as "my way" did not work. I started taking suggestions, opening up, being present in my recovery and a new me has started to take hold. I intended to only be there for another 30 days but ended up staying for another month for PHP and took an active part of my recovery and had a plan for when I left. The facilities are spectacular; the staff from the admissions staff, overnight staff, techs, nursing staff, maintenance staff is so very caring and well..."sometimes fun". It is truly amazing that the owner of SPN has created such a special and safe place to begin my healing journey. This week, I will celebrate my 90 days on June 13, 2026! Thank you so much for saving my life! Kim
