I came to Oceans Recovery struggling with a severe addiction and significant mental-health challenges, including isolation and withdrawing from those around me. At the time, I was not a productive member of society and lacked clear goals or ambitions. Over the past 30+ days, I have gained a supportive community of peers and staff who genuinely want the best for me, just as I do for them. I have also developed the skills and knowledge necessary to maintain lasting sobriety. Most importantly, I have grown from seeking the cheers of others to cheering for myself. I came here to get well I wound up getting happy, thank you oceans for everything.

I love Casa Capri. The programming is excellent, particularly the groups. Individual therapy, nutrition counseling, and case management sessions are also very helpful. The staff at Casa are top-notch. The high quality programming is really where this facility shines. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff was integral to my recovery and motivation. I always felt valued and safe. Grace House (the nutrition/eating disorder house) has a special place in my heart. I suffered from a severe eating disorder for over 5 years and finally feel like I’ve overcome it. The dietitians, Hanna and Juliette, are very knowledgeable and great at their jobs. The accommodations are clean and very home-y; the vibe is definitely not institutional or hospital-like. I loved the neighborhood cat too. I recommend Casa without reservation to anyone looking to recover from an eating disorder and/or substance abuse issue. I’ve been to other treatment centers for both problems and Casa is the best. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

Casa Capri Recovery is truly the most wonderful and clinically strong all-female program I've ever encountered. I've trusted them with my family members and friends struggling with addictive (substance use) and eating disorders, and every time, they were met with unmatched professionalism and pure kindness. Finding a truly sound, all-female program is rare and more difficult than I ever imagined, but Casa Capri sets the standard. The clinical depth, safety, and community they provide for women is incredibly needed and simply the best available. I am so grateful they are filling this need for women struggling everywhere. A massive thank you to Liz Miller, whose phenomenal clinical insight and steady connection made all the difference for my loved ones. I also want to acknowledge Katie Martinez and Sophie Rumbin, whose thoughtful communication and genuine care provided incredible support and validation every step of the way. They consistently go above and beyond. Casa Capri is a treatment environment where you can feel safe leaving the people you love. I wholeheartedly recommend them for real healing, treatment, and recovery.

Casa Capri is a beautiful place to get sober, with an incredible staff that really cares. Eating disorders and trauma can sometimes be driving forces behind addiction and alcoholism in women, and Casa Capri's program really addresses those things to help get at the root. As a sober woman, I trust Casa Capri's team to bring sobriety and recovery to their clients.

My time at Akua was good for my mental health. I was not in the best headspace upon entering the program. Sharing my story, learning about myself, and having the support of my peers and the Akua staff helped me become more comfortable in my own skin and the world around me. I want to give a special thanks to My case manager, Candace. I’ve never been comfortable around people, but Candace made me feel safe and free to speak openly without judgment. Thank you Akua.

Many, if not all treatment centers say they have “highly individualized” care. This place actually does. They bend over backwards to get everyone the specific care they need. I needed an AA meeting every day and a ride to the gym. They brought me EVERY day. The staff at MHC is incredible with most of them being PHD level clinicians. But every one provides life changing therapy. EMDR, changed the way I thought. Trauma therapy told me that I make sense. DBT gave me the skills to handling anything. I wanted to die. I don’t anymore. They saved my life and there isn’t another place like it.

A great experience overall. Would love to specifically call out Doug, a therapist who works here. He, like so many other therapist at the MHC, did a really good job in individual sessions at really addressing the problem and being honest. It seems like he really cares about his patients and has been doing great work. Sarah as well. Those are the two I would reach out to call about.

I'm embarrassed to say I had been to a few treatment centers before I was fortunate to be placed at Nsight, although I know that's true for many people who struggle with their mental health and addiction. If you experienced trauma during childhood or at any point in your life and it affects your mental health, or you're not even sure if it does but you struggle with addiction, Nsight is the place for you. There is no other treatment center like it. Their program, groups, counselors and housing are one of a kind. The environment is kept professional unlike many other facilities. The counselors are actually educated and experienced as well as empathetic and relationship based. Nsight is so different in so many ways from other treatment centers. Nsight saved and forever changed my life. It is through Nsight that I found myself. I graduated and walked out of their program a literally completely different and better person. I went home and my mom cried and said she had no idea this is who I am and that I am actually such a beautiful, kind and fun person. After struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction and other diagnosis that were inaccurate. I owe my life today to Nsight, their program and their counselors. I cannot recommend this program enough. If you're on the fence between choosing Nsight and another place - choose Nsight. You won't regret it.

Where do I start... Came to "rehab/treatment" due to a open court case. The Lord Jesus Christ has used this treatment center as a means to free me from my slavery of alcohol. I have been attending True Recovery as a client for 14 months, consecutively. The staff here connect to clients on a personal and friendly level. I have become close with many staff members and not once, do they belittle or overstep boundaries, but approach individuals on a empathetic level. Jade, I've met a wonderful friend. Michael, you are so kind. Matt, you are so knowledgeable as an instructor. Brandi, since day one you were so sweet. Forgive me if I have not mentioned you by name... If you guys are seeking a treatment center, I highly advise this place. This place is legit.

When I entered PACE Recovery Center, I was very sick. I had been to many treatment centers to help with my addiction and mental health and nothing worked and I was beginning to lose hope. PACE returned that hope to my family and I. The facilities are clean, well kept, and are amazingly, I lived 4 blocks from the beach. The highlight of my recovery journey was the highly educated, knowledgable and caring staff employed by PACE. In contrast to other facilities I've attended, the staff at PACE want to be there, and want to help you. When I struggled, they were there for me, regardless of the time. I spent many nights on the phone with my incredible case manager, Chris Mortazavi, as well as the client advocate, Drew DelGaudio. Both of those individuals helped save my life, and the relationship I was able to form with them was well beyond anything advertised or expected from the facility. To summarize, PACE is an incredible program staffed by incredible men and women who will support you in this difficult stage of your life. I couldn't recommend it enough, and the changes PACE assisted me in have saved my life. A special thanks to all the staff I had the privilege of working with, specifically: Bowen Rizk, Brian Greenwald, Chris Mortazavi, Drew DelGaudio, Rita Yacoub, and Bryan Johnson. The list of people at PACE who positively impacted my life is much longer than this, these individuals are just a few who were especially involved in my treatment and recovery. I am leaving PACE with ambition, hope, and gratitude for my life.

I would like to respond to a review written two months ago. I typically do not write reviews, but it was upsetting to read something that is so opposite of what is actually true. I attended groups at Welmor for over a year and a half on a regular basis. Patti, who was named in the previous review, makes a huge difference in this world. Her attention given to the clients saves lives. She taught us about addiction and how our brains are wired, physical sobriety, emotional sobriety, she gave us tools to live productively each day of our lives, and genuinely cared about each one of us - something that cannot be taught in any school. Her groups were always the most attended as everyone wanted to be in “Patti‘s group.” There was a sense of well-being in her groups, and friendships were cultivated. I was actually in attendance the day the gentleman that wrote the review was there. He was the one that was extremely disruptive and out of line. He seemed volatile and to be perfectly honest, I was very uncomfortable with him in the room, as were many others. So for him to take the time to write a terrible review about Patti is not only wrong but very sad. I hope you will ignore his review as I promise It is completely false.

I worked with Solace Health in Orange County when my family needed an interventionist, and they handled everything with professionalism and compassion. They guided us step by step through the intervention, which made a very overwhelming situation manageable. After treatment was arranged, their team helped with placement into a sober living in Huntington Beach that gave our loved one the structure and accountability needed in early recovery. Having that continuity of care from intervention to treatment to sober living made all the difference. We are very grateful for the steady support they provided during such a critical time.

First Responder Wellness is should be a requirement for all First Responders somewhere throughout their career. FRW saved my life, not only mine I witnessed first hand others lives change. I thought I was going for substance and when I finally began to be open minded there was so much more to unpack. The environment is comfortable and very conducive to recovery. The real shining light of this program is the staff. All of the staff. Therapists, case managers, behavioral health technicians, nursing staff, I mean just everyone. Nobody treats you like you are their job. Every person on staff has a vested interest in helping you regardless of you being on their caseload or not. I was absolutely one of their most difficult clients during my stay and not one person ever gave up on me. And for anyone with any reservations or fear of being around strangers and diving into your personal life, rest assured you are not alone, everyone at FRW is going through similar situations and you will form life long bonds with these people and navigate the program together. They are your biggest fans, friends, advocates. Lean on them.

I’m writing this for the first responders out there who are struggling but don’t know why. When I went to First Responder Wellness, I was at the lowest point of my life. I felt hopeless, lost, and completely worn down from years of calls and stress that I never really dealt with. I honestly thought something was wrong with me. Like a lot of us, I got into this job because I wanted to help people. To serve. To be there for others. What I didn’t realize was how much the job was slowly affecting me, not just at work, but in my relationships, my marriage, and the way I felt about myself. I didn’t understand the emotional toll this career takes, and by the time I noticed, I had already lost so much joy and connection in my life. FRW helped me understand that I wasn’t weak, I was carrying years of work-related trauma. And they helped me start healing in a real way. The staff truly understands first responders, and being around others who “get it” was one of the most healing parts. I met some of the best people I’ve ever known there. When I flew home to Kauai, I cried when the plane touched down because I felt different, clearer, lighter, excited about life and more myself than I’ve felt in years. The healing I received at FRW is priceless. It gave me my life, my joy, and my hope back. I wish I had found this place earlier, not just so things didn’t fall apart, but so I could’ve kept the joy for a job I once loved, and protected the people who mattered most to me. I want that for other first responders too. I want you to thrive in this career, not just push through it. This place can help you do that. If you’re struggling, feeling numb, overwhelmed, or disconnected, please reach out to them. You are not broken. You’re not alone. And you really can find healing and strength again. FRW helped me when I thought nothing could. Aloha 🤙🏽 Cameron

I went here in 2018 and this place truly helped me. I’m from Illinois and coming to OC was the thing I needed. Every counselor, therapist, and house manager truly helped me to become the person I am today. I can say I found hope and recovery at Beachside. My case manager was Monica and still am in contact with her today but she went above and beyond with her clients trying to help anyway she could. Also the recovery coach Freeman was amazing in the way he was able to connect with pretty much anyone. I miss everyone and just am so grateful this is the place my parents found me at the time.

Staff here really make this place one of a kind. I've unfortunately had to come detox here 4 times but every time I have felt genuinely loved and cared for. My needs were always met and I always was made to feel comfortable. I was able to achieve my goals. I recommend this place to anyone trying to get help getting out if their substance issues. You will find it very homey and always have access to someone who understands and can help. Not to mention the amazing outings and nightly recovery meetings off site. These definitely aided in my recovery and not feeling so cooped up. Thanks beachside crew!

My son’s participation at Embark has been transformative, not just for him but for our family as well. I cannot say enough positive things about Embark’s staff. Their care and deep understanding of our family’s unique challenges has been tremendous; my son looks forward to attending daily and with his participation and hard work change has been rapid. Hayden’s primary therapist, Tiffany Fuentes, walks on water in our eyes. Her unique insight and compassion has been remarkable. Where other therapists have failed to connect with my son, with Tiffany he has shared openly and acted on her recommendations. When I asked him to describe Tiffany, he responded, ‘in one word…amazing.’ Embark & Tiffany, thank you for changing our lives for the better.

Embark Behavioral Health has been a true blessing for my daughter and our family. She attended their PHP program during one of the hardest chapters of our lives, and I am incredibly grateful for the compassion, support, and dedication their team showed us from day one. Sophia was exceptionally kind, patient, and consistent with her communication. She kept me informed every step of the way and truly made us feel supported throughout the entire process. Kathy went above and beyond for both me and my daughter. She guided us through the program, helped us understand what to expect, and checked in on us regularly, even during moments when things were overwhelming. Her care and commitment made a tremendous impact, and I will forever appreciate her for that. I’ve seen a significant improvement in my daughter’s emotional well-being, confidence, and overall stability. The staff at Embark genuinely cares, and it shows in the progress my daughter has made. Thank you, Embark, for helping us move forward with hope, strength, and healing. I highly recommend this program to any family navigating a difficult time.

I am a mother of two and both my children attended the Jumpstart IOP program at Embark Newport Beach. I was referred to this facility after having been through another IOP program with a different company. And for the first time ever a therapist, Embark's Katheena Thirtle was able to get through to my older child. Not only that - the entire team embraced my daughter, she was shown compassion, empathy, and patience. She felt comfortable enough to open up, to allow herself to be seen. The impact was even more pronounced on my younger child - she loved being there from the first day, looked forward to going in. She felt safe, was very communicative, learned self regulation skills. I also loved having the weekly debriefs on the children, hearing what professionals with so much relevant experience thought about my complex case. Dr. Rehmani, the psychiatrist on staff, spent the time to listen and provide his thoughts on progress, or lack thereof. I also appreciated the parent-children events, they presented me with a different perspective on my child, and allowed us to know each other more. I wholeheartedly recommend their Jumpstart IOP program and I would not hesitate to return there again. Their facility is beautiful, luminous, a healing place. The art is comforting , being there brought back hope.

Great staff, the clients were challenging so it made it tough. Emotionally I was hurting, so they could not meet my needs. But overall it’s a good place.

The Landing was everything I could have hoped for in a rehabilitation facility. The house and staff were amazing and completely professional. Being right on the beach in Newport was a once in a lifetime experience for me, it really helped to brighten the recovery journey. The programming was top notch and during my stay there, I learned invaluable skills that jump started my recovery. These are skills that I am still using today and I will be forever grateful for what the staff taught me about living a life in recovery. I would highly recommend The Landing experience to anyone looking to jumpstart their recovery.

This place is the real deal. Caring and professional staff from the moment we arrived with our daughter. They not only helped our daughter, but they also my wife and I get through a very tough time. Even after her departure from Balboa, we are still able to call and ask questions, and get feedback if we need it. We owe Balboa a huge debt of gratitude.
