I am so grateful to have found this treatment. I have been in treatment for the last 2 1/2 years and felt like I wasn't getting personalized, meaningful, quality interactions from my clinicians. I was just a $$ in their chair. I have found a treatment where I am a valued member of their community and when I ask for help I am really HEARD and the staff takes their time to figure out the best course of action for me as an individual. I get so much information and treatment from (especially) Allison that I have never gotten in any of the other treatment centers I've been to over the last 15 years. She has an extensive knowledge and education on addiction and takes her time to make sure I feel like I'm getting the most that I can get. I have an individual therapist that pushes me in so many great ways to be the best me I can be and helps me to learn the tools to become those things seamlessly. My group sessions along with my individual sessions are helping me in my recovery as well as a functioning member of society and someone who I am proud to look at in the mirror every day.

Been going here for almost a year, and I really enjoyed talking to Allison H. She is the best she know what she is talking about and I would recommend her for anyone who has to go here. The other employees in the building are also very cool and make you feel comfortable being there. Gonna miss the weekly talks.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Addiction treatment at an inpatient rehab center is significantly more intensive than outpatient and community-based care. Clients remain at the facility for the duration of their program, though many centers offer supervised group excursions. Inpatient treatment typically consists of extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling. Many programs also prioritize addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Holistic therapies, such as yoga, art therapy, EMDR, and meditation, are commonly available as well.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving services in a rehab aftercare program have generally been stable and sober for a period of weeks and months and no longer require high intensity treatment. Many have stepped down from inpatient rehab to outpatient treatment. Others have been discharged from formal treatment but need support in maintaining their sobriety. Clients typically work with their case manager and care team to develop a long-term care plan that aligns with their unique needs and goals.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter a drug rehab in Utah, the process usually involves four stages: treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Treatment methods can rely on medications, counseling, or both, in either an outpatient or inpatient setting.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

When your body no longer gets nicotine from cigarettes, you will most likely experience withdrawal and craving symptoms. Nicotine replacement therapy is designed to ease these symptoms so you are more comfortable and less likely to relapse.

As a former patient of Chuck, I cannot only attest to his Professional abilities but also his extreme humanity he posses. I learned so much from him in our sessions and taking his lessons with me has continued my learning and healthy development long after our sessions as well. Under Chuck's care, I was able to fully change the trajectory of my life for the better and I know that's those of his patients who were reciprocal in treatment have done the same. You are a patient first, and after that family. If he was still practicing 1x1 I would do anything necessary to secure a place! 😂 You could not ask for a more perfect guide and confidant, or even human being. I hope everyone can experience the joy and comfort he naturally provides all around him!

Not a safe space! Don't accommodate disabilities. I second the post of gaslighting for more money as well. That was also my experience. Also the one supposed to be full appointment (was 35 mins) I had the video call was horrible and the clinician clearly didn't think I could see his face simply because he couldn't see me. People are really too relaxed (and rude) when they think they're not being warched. Good luck getting anyone in the phone here.....ever. incredibly unprofessional, bordering dangerous for mental health.

Allison is literally the most caring, knowledgeable, compassionate person I have ever known to work in the field of addiction recovery. I am embarrassed to say I have gone through many different treatment programs ranging from detox, inpatient, outpatient, and everything in between. When I first found out that because of a DUI I would now have to add yet another program to the list I was less than thrilled and convinced that nothing could be gained. I am so happy to admit that I was completely wrong. I learned so much about this insidious disease from Allison's groups. In the past I could never take non addicts working in recovery seriously. She has become the exception to my rule. I truly feel like she can empathize with the struggle as if she has walked through it herself. Anyone who has the privilege of getting to work with her should consider themselves beyond blessed.

I would not trust this person with my therapy needs or with anyone that I care about. They attempted to gaslight me into thinking that my (problem I came to them for help with) is not real and that I made it up (re: was faking it) simply because I was unhappy with my life. This is very dangerous for a therapist to tell someone that is vulnerable (especially when it's ONLY THE VERY FIRST SESSION!). This person is clearly not qualified to be offering treatment for serious mental health issues as he literally laughed at me and then proceeded to tell me my (mental health problem I was seeking help with) was not real. What kind of professional does that? *speculation*: I suspect this operation is still in business due to their relationship with the state in taking on bogus "drug addiction evaluations" that the state likes to hand out for no reason. This is essentially a state sponsored "therapy" office. I hope this helps someone seek out actual help, because this ain't it. ***I think it's also worth noting that I saw them back in 2018 and after seeing a REAL therapist, I decided to add this to their reviews to give fair warning to those truly seeking help/relief.
