Let me start by saying, if I could give these beautiful people 100 stars, it wouldn’t be enough.
I’m on the tail end of my detox program here at White Tree Medical. I came in about 3 weeks absolutely desperate for help. I had been taking large amounts of Kratom for the past 10 years or so. It’s damaged my teeth, it’s destroyed my GI tract, I even suffered from what’s called Photoinduced Hyperpigmentation. The Kratom has literally turned areas of my body into a bluish grey color. The amount of insecurities Kratom has caused me is indescribable. These were all huge motivators to get me to stop the Kratom… I just couldn’t do it myself and that’s where White Tree came into the picture.
Your first appointment: you fill out the normal paperwork that would be required at any doctors office. You then meet with one of the case managers who gets an understanding of what kind of help you’re looking for, and then described exactly how they can help. You then meet with the nurse who takes all of your vitals and gets a better understanding of your unique situation. Lastly, you meet with Dr. Canfield who goes over the exact specifics of your treatment.
From there on, should you choose so, your treatment will begin.
I’ve been through detox multiple times, some on my own and some through other “clinics”. White Tree is second to none, and I mean that whole heartedly. From the first interaction, you get the warm, genuine feeling that the entire staff cares for you and truly wants to help you become free again. I can’t speak highly enough about the entire staff, but my 2 favorite are Laura (the primary nurse) and Dr. Canfield. Laura actively listens to every word you have to say, and is amazing at coming up with solutions. I’ve never met, let alone worked with a doctor like Dr. Canfield. He’s an endless amount of support and encouragement. He doesn’t hesitate to make adjustments in your treatment plan if need be. This man gives me a hug and tells me how great I’m doing every single day before leaving the clinic. They mean the world to me!
Not every single day is easy. You’re going to have ups and downs… so the saying goes, you gotta pay to play. There’s going to be some struggles, but White Tree will be there with you each step of the way and do everything gin their power to make things as easy and comfortable as possible.
Lastly, I feel it’s important to tell whoever is reading this, this is not a methadone clinic. There are no steps or levels or anything like that. It is literally one on one healthcare. These beautiful people have helped me out in a way that I could never repay. They truly are Godsend.
If you’re wanting to get sober, you have absolutely nothing to lose by making the initial appointment. It could change your life.

My daughter was suffering with depression in February of this year. We were desperately trying to find her some help. Rod reached out to me and was able to get her to a therapist that she absolutely loves. (She had tried several prior)
Today my daughter posted on her Instagram how, in February, she was drafting her letter to leave the miserable mental state she was in. She was tired of fighting with herself every day trying to stay here.
Here we are in October. She is doing SO good and she has for several months. It's all due to Suncrest Counseling, Rod and her amazing therapist, Laurie. She posted that because of their help and resources, she has happiness in her life and credit's them and people that love her with saving her life.

Loving someone who struggles with addiction is so hard. To watch them suffer. It makes this struggle even harder when it feels impossible to find help for that person you love. Tyson took a chance on my person. And took them into this program last week. So grateful for people who care this much.

I want to take a moment to highly recommend Chateau for any first responder or veteran who may be struggling and in need of inpatient support. My experience there was truly life-changing. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. The staff went above and beyond to create an environment that was compassionate, professional, and focused on healing.
Every member of the team — from the counselors to the support staff — treated me with respect and understanding. They took the time to listen, to guide me through difficult moments, and to help me find practical tools to manage my challenges. The treatment programs were well-structured and personalized, addressing not just the symptoms but the underlying issues as well.
The facility itself was comfortable and welcoming, and the sense of community among residents made a tremendous difference in my recovery. I left feeling stronger, more self-aware, and better equipped to continue my progress.

I truly owe my life to Chateau! I have been to Chateau twice after severely struggling and ended up spending almost three months total there. I was very anxious not being a first responder or veteran and much younger than many of those there. The second I walked through the front door, I felt safe. Clients and staff didn’t not care that I was neither of those things.
Through the help of Chateau, I found the motivation and will to stay alive and sober. I started to discover my authentic self and be happy with who I was. Chateau helped me in so many ways and will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have for the facility, staff and clients.
They are accommodating to all needs and are truly there to help you become better.

When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help. So far I have been attending Pomarri Treatment center for about a month at the Orem location. From silver creek to the Pomarri treatment this place is my “saving grace” . Every single person from what I can see really cares about each and every single client that walks through that door. I have been to a handful of treatments throughout my addiction and by far this one is the best. I literally look forward to coming to group!!! In a month I have learned so many crucial and valuable skills already, from coping skills, DBT skills and really life skills . I’m excited to see what the rest of my journey will be here but one thing is for sure if you are looking for a treatment that’s different from the traditional treatments that takes medicaid then give Pomarri a shot !!

First step gave me my sobriety and I cannot put a price on that. I am at the 411 house... One month left to go. I cannot stress enough how much life has changed. This program by far is the best Rehab facility in the country. My life was changed after being there for 56 days. The professional staff, attention to detail, intense therapy, and process groups all helped in my transformation on my road in recovery. They also included my family in the process, because this is a family dis-ease… I highly recommend Cirque…if you seriously want to stop drinking or drugging, are willing to be openminded, honest, and willing…this is the place for you. Alright, so I was here from February-October 2023 and it was disgusting. Kids were out of control all the time, class barely happened because people refused to be in the classrooms and nothing was done about it. In April of that year, a riot broke out where the police were called. Now, maybe I'm being harsh but if the staff at a literal lockdown facility can't control the kids, maybe they shouldn't work there. The police shouldn't have needed to have been called. But staff were incompetent. Not only this, but the psychiatrist there put me on seizure medication for weight loss. I'm not epileptic nor do I have seizures. I was constantly on honor roll in class there because they taught us nothing. It raised my GPA but screwed me over when I couldn't do anything at a higher level. I'd heavily recommend researching this place before sending a child there.

How is this awful place still open? IF YOU SEND OR KIDS INTO THE TROUBLED TEEN INDUSTRY YOU ARE DISGUSTING. My friend was sent here at 15 because he drank 2 beers. He stayed for 18 months. Ten years later he doesn’t speak to his family because of the trauma and has a very bad life. Days of forced isolation, physical “discipline”, you can’t contact anyone to tell them how you’re doing, sexual assault from staff, incessant verbal abuse. There are multiple documentaries and books on this place. If you support it or send your child here you are truly irredeemable.

The staff was very welcoming and provided me with great details about their program as they showed me around the buildings, explaining what they could offer to the adolescents they work with. The Pathways inpatient facility gave me more than physical safety and care—it gave me something I had never truly known before: true emotional safety. The entire staff worked together to help me grow in the three areas of life that must be engaged—mind, body, and spirit. I walked in carrying a heavy prejudice against all men, but it was three men in particular who ended up aiding me the most, showing me that at our core, we really are all just human.
My main therapist, Daryl, guided me through reshaping my mindset and digging into my past to uncover my deepest wounds. He stood by me on one of the most emotionally painful days of my life, and I will never forget Destiny—one of the incredible nurses—literally running after him as he was about to head home, just so he could be there for me in that moment.
Dr. Sellers provided me with the best medical care I could have asked for. He never rushed through visits, always taking the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why—making sure I understood and felt safe with my treatment. I also want to thank Dawn, a powerhouse nurse who believed in my strength even when I couldn’t see it myself, and who pushed me to rise to the challenge.
Michael Ryan gave me the gift of faith and clarity in my higher power. He challenged me in ways I desperately needed, helping me confront the destructive core beliefs that caused me so much suffering and turn them upside down. He gave me the tools to question my own thoughts, and to approach them with both curiosity and compassion. Somehow, even in the middle of facing the hardest truths, he still managed to make me laugh and feel safe. I went to Brunswick exhausted, malnourished, and on the brink of a nervous breakdown. My marriage was ending because of Infedelity and I started drinking heavily. They made me feel safe, gave me a place to improve my health, Therapist that I could talk with and taught me skills to use when I was feeling overwhelmed in life. I've been going here almost a month and so far so good not any problem other then I have a service dog and she has all paperwork only thing that's hard sometimes is where everyone just brings there dog to the clinic that's not a service animal going in building sometimes makes things difficult cause other animals aren't trained and that makes things hard for me and my service dog... If they could just fix that problem the place would be great in my book.

I was here for about 3 months, then was in sober living briefly, before going back out. Even though I relapsed, I have never seen a more personable and available and real group of people willing to help you. I put you guys through some SHIT. Especially you Tina. Lol. The therapists are good, but only human. Theyll crack you open good. The real question I suppose is was I better off having come here? Absolutely. But in the end I had to assess whether I was really doing what I wanted. I regret leaving. But I also needed to figure some things out for myself. I miss the community. And dont think they are in it for the money. They arent. They were willijg to pay for all my housing, keep me extra time, and let me stay even when there was no way I should have been able to. Thank you Mark, Todd, Kirk, Dee, CHRISTIAN, and Tina, and all of the therapists. Im currently in detox and really trying to get my life in order. Wasatch is worth every cent because of Todd he told me that I was recovered the day I stopped using drugs. He is one of the greatest minds the Recovery community has. I am writing this from a hyperbaric and still sober. I didn't stay the whole time but I got what I needed. As a veteran in the opiate epidemic and a 20+ time rehab connoisseur. I can say Todd one talk with him brought more healing and more recovery than hundreds of meetings, doing the 12 steps and thousand hours of treatment groups. Find your people. Be of service. Give back. Heal your body. Up north there's a hyperbaric and wellness in ogden ran by a beautiful women named Mel who is also phenomenal human. If you go there try the tesla coil. It is a phenomenal for balacing your energy. I truly believe addicts are healers and if we can conquer our addiction we can light . Anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk

Not my first rodeo. I have been through a few rehabilitation programs with several local treatment centers in Salt Lake City. Recovery Ways at Brunswick was equipped with staff that has experience and multiple tools to assist in the recovery process. The step down progression and support is second to none. I have memories and friends from my short time that I will carry for a lifetime. I am sober today in part because of the staff and resources I was gifted on my day of surrender. Highly recommended and even though the commitment seems daunting, the experience will enhance your life skills and provide ample suggestions to assist in a fight for life outside addiction.

I came to Deer Hollow carrying years of unresolved trauma and symptoms that had taken over my life. I had tried therapy before, but nothing reached the root of what I was dealing with until I walked through their doors. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe, grounded, and understood in a way I hadn’t experienced anywhere else.
Residential treatment was intense, structured, and emotionally heavy at times — but it was also exactly what I needed. The trauma-focused work, especially IFS, helped me understand why I reacted the way I did, where my patterns came from, and how to work with the parts of myself that had been stuck for so long. When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help. Give Deer Hollow a chance, The staff is top notch and they have been through similar stuff and achieved Victory. I began Deer Hollow’s outpatient program after completing residential treatment, and it became one of the most meaningful phases of my healing. Outpatient gave me the structure and support I still needed, while also allowing me to start rebuilding my life outside of treatment.
The therapists at Deer Hollow are incredible. They understand trauma on a level I’ve never experienced before, and they know how to create a safe space where you can go deep without feeling overwhelmed or judged. The work we did — especially IFS and the group sessions — helped me continue unraveling the patterns and protective parts that had controlled so much of my life.
What made outpatient so powerful for me was the combination of accountability, connection, and continued therapeutic intensity. I was able to practice real-world coping skills during the week and then bring what came up back into group and individual therapy. It felt like a bridge between treatment and everyday life, and it gave me confidence I didn’t have before.
The community is also something special. Being surrounded by people who understand trauma, who get the ups and downs, and who are all working toward healing made me feel less alone. I built relationships there that still support me today.
Deer Hollow’s outpatient program helped me solidify the progress I made in residential and gave me the tools to live with clarity, stability, and hope. I’m genuinely grateful for the care and compassion I received during this part of my journey.

EDIT: It's been almost a year since my last review & I wanted to update it again. I love this place and & the people. Unfortunately, Jerry, who was the owner, had to sell. I met the new owner & he seemed very nice but omg the new systems they're implementing are just so awful & annoying & frustrating. Before we would come in & Susan, the receptionist, who is so sweet, kind, smart, & efficient, would get us checked in & we could literally be in & out in like 3 minutes for real. Now they make u check in on a tablet & there's a TV where they put your # when you're allowed to go back & see Jeff, (the one who gives u your dose). I hate it for a couple reasons, #1- it slows things down A LOT!!! There is always a wait now & it is no longer in & out. #2- it makes u feel like your at the DMV! Waiting for your # to be called, you're not a person, you're a # & it feels so clinical & impersonal. Now one of the things I do like & really appreciate that they've done is if u miss your counseling apt they give u a week to do a group & if u do u don't have to pay a fine. Which I really appreciate. Last Monday the while morning was going awful & all these things came up & I totally spaced & felt so bad about missing my apt but am so grateful I am able to make it up! I'm also grateful Jerry is still there & I still have him as my counselor, he is a wonderful person who u can tell really cares about everyone & never judges. & I'm also so glad Susan is there & Jeff. Jeff is the nurse who gives u your dose, who is also one of my favorite people there. He is so kind, efficient & I love coming every day & getting to see Susan & Jeff cuz they're such wonderful people & I hope they never leave!!! Diane is another staff member who has been there for years & is such an amazing person. As a matter of fact, all the staff there is amazing & I'm grateful to have such wonderful people to be there & support me in my recovery journey. So even though I really don't like the new system (& talking to others, everyone else hates it too & were kind of hoping they'll do away with it after a while when they see how much it slows things down) I will still continue with, I guess it's called True North now because of the people there.
