Ardu Recovery was the first treatment center I have ever attended. It was such a blessing in my life. The staff from medical, techs, and all the way up the chain to director are the most amazing people I have ever encountered. They carry you through many tools and love to help you build a solidified life. I would recommend here to anyone willing to seek for help.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for ARDU and all they have done for my family. Most of all, I am beyond grateful for Chandler. We were feeling so lost but she walked us through every step with such patience and kindness. My husband had about 2 weeks between his detox and the ability to start his recovery due to insurance. Chandler would check in on him and be an amazing support. To us, this is what it was all about. Being treated as humans with real empathy and understanding. HIGHLY recommend ARDU!

My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. If the actual facility listens and cares like she did, I am sure the place would be amazing. It came highly recommended to me from various parents whose loved one's were able to recover, thanks to New Roads. I truly wish my son could have received the help that he needs from a place like this. Unfortunately, our country still has a long way to go in the criminalization of those suffering with a serious mental illness. Thanks New Roads for all that you tried to do and especially Natalia.

I also take random UA's. Far as I can tell most everything is bout same as it was after Project & Wasatch combined what not. Oh if I get complaints, I'll share them on here. You can count on it. You can do it, you're worth it. We all have a choice no matter how deep we get. I know sobriety is slow going, especially when you're accustomed to that immediate gradification. It's worth it though. OMFG is it ever. Just keep on keeping on. Sometimes one minute or even one second at a time. I'm starting to legit build my happily ever after. Long way from thinking I was gonna die & not caring. I got my son back. It's amazing how good things get when you're living right. When I was using & focused or dark stuff that's what I got. So happy to be on the other side of the spectrum now. One thing that has me less than happy lately is that I seem to be stuck carry wise which is BS as I've had nothing but clean UA's for like a year. Utah County doesn't have many options though for low income folks. If you go to a pay place you're definitely treated better. Heck with it though. This is the best treatment center in Utah in my opinion they have totally saved my life and the therapist there will really fight for you.I've never felt so cared for and loved it's amazing the nurses are amazing the counselors everybody on the staff is so awesome I feel so welcome inn at home and really they make it not all about the medication you receive it's about the treatment. I have learned so much about myself. I've been to several other methadone clinics and I've never made so much progress as here. The doctors here are amazing too and they really understand. If you are at all considering trying to get your life together and trying to get off heroin, make an appointment and follow through with it these people will change your life. What I noticed very first because my husband and I walked down here out of desperation at 5 in the morning when we came is that everyone was pulling up in nice cars on their way to work and they all looked really happy and it was a time when me and my husband were really really bad addicted to heroin and meth and I realize these are the kind of people I want to surround myself with I totally turned my life around and just a matter of a few months! I got back my driver's license I completed treatment I'm doing wonderful on my ap&p they have totally saved my life Project Reality is the best place in Utah for treatment don't wait!!

Like John G, in the reviews, I too was on the wrong track. Jack the owner was a pompous jack ass but the school and for the most part the teachers and councilors were doing their best. Most graduates of BYU and Mormons. As a 16 year old with no clear idea of life and definitely any idea of what or how to move forward and be a productive person. The school taught me how to set goals and gave me the confidence to take control of my life and learn that I could be productive and enjoy life by developing self discipline and how important and rewarding life could and should be. Nothing is perfect and I had my reservations at times especially with Jack but I learned how to deal with it and by being in a structured environment I grew up and became a more productive and responsible adult. Thank you mom and dad for loving me and I am thankful for the opportunity of being privileged to go here and finding myself. I hope and pray other boys will have the same benefit I did. Provo taught me how to set goals and above all else, like myself and develop a positive self concept. Get the best from opportunities, you weren't doing anything else anyway. :)

I was at PCS in 1982-83. I was a troubled youth growing up in Chicago. I was 12 yrs old when I started going south with my life, substances, liquor, criminal activity and such. Did a stint in juvy for armed robbery and it just kept getting worse due to my choices in my life at that time. I have good parents and siblings but somehow I was just not making the grade in life. At 16 I was sent to PCS. Wasn't to thrilled about being locked up with a bunch of dudes from all over the country. Long story short, My grades went from F's to A's, the teachers there were great. The class sizes were much smaller than the public schools in Chicago, the teachers here gave a d##. My therapist even let me come into his home for Christmas once I got to the level 3&4 in the program. Staff took me out of there to hang out with them at BYU activities. So I learned that I was an ok young man, people did like me I wasn't as bad as I thought I was. I took my SAT,s there and got accepted at USU in Logan,UT. Point is it did stink alot of the time, I missed my family, but I learned self discipline and another (better) way of living. I'm still alive at 58 yrs old. If I didn't come here I would have died before I turned 18, either from violence, drugs or liquor. I look back now and I thank God for that part of my life.you get out of it what you put into it.

Ok,I was at provo from February to October, 2024. I had a good experience. This place gave me a shot that I was never given before. My therapist was amazing and everyone worked tirelessly to become the successful adult I am today. The clinical department is very thorough and cares deeply about the well being of the teens there. What you put into therapy you get out of it. Most of the morning staff and swing A staff were very patient and empathetic towards all of us whether we showed behaviors or didn't. Shout out to maula and Osha!!Swing B management needs work. The staff on swing B that I had been in contact with were not trained well and sided with their staff because the teen can't have feelings on how something is run.Hope the grievance lady is amazing, and was there through all of the issues me and others have had and still have. She really puts her energy into trying to fix the issues. The school is helpful, I actually graduated earlier than I would have due to getting credits early. I learned a lot and the teachers are really patient, funny, and understanding.Look this place can seem like a living hell, but half the time it's not the staffs fault. It's the kids. And sadly every teen there is there for a reason.

Pomarri is nothing short of a god send for me. I am a single mom & last year I spent around 6 months in & out of jail for drugs & probation violations. When I finally got out I was broken, just bankrupt in everyway- mentally, emotionally, spiritually & had accepted prison was my future. However, by the grace of God I found pomarri & the amazing staff, clinicians & therapists helped me find my footing & get back on the right track. Now I can proudly say I have almost 90 days sober. I am taking care of my 9 year old daughter, attending groups & meetings. Pomarri worked hard to ensure that my own personal treatment is done in a way to ensure the very Best results for me. I feel very blessed to be a part of the program.Beth

New Haven saved our daughter's life. The program pairs decades of therapeutic expertise with patience and love. It takes time, but it works. Meanwhile our daughter was safe at New Haven and that gave us all the space we all needed to heal.

| New Haven Treatment Center is a residential treatment facility for young girls aged 14 through 18. The residents at New Haven struggle with mental illness, substance misuse, self-harm, or other behavioral issues. The campus, located in Spanish Fork, Utah, is made up of three large, fully staffed houses that accommodate up to 16 residents. An on-si | Treatments Payment Options | My name is Marissa, and I attended New Haven (Spanish Fork Campus) from 2013 to 2014, residing in the Roosevelt house. I m writing this review to provide a balanced perspective in light of the recent negative attention New Haven has received from some former alumni. I hope my insights can help future parents in their decision-making.When I arrived at New Haven, I was transitioning from a physically demanding wilderness program called Second Nature. I was in great physical shape, weighing 140 pounds with a muscular build. However, during my time at New Haven, I experienced rapid weight gain, reaching a peak of 198 pounds by the time I left, and I m 5'5" tall. Despite my significant weight gain being monitored weekly, it didn t seem to raise alarms with the medical staff, which is something I believe could be improved. One aspect of my experience at New Haven was the treatment team. It could be intimidating to sit in a room with eight or so people evaluating my progress and behavior, especially when they shared feedback in front of other girls during our Thursday meetings. While this process could feel humiliating at times, I now understand the importance of accountability in a therapeutic environment. It s not about abuse; rather, it s about encouraging personal growth and forcing you to confront your actions and their consequences. On a positive note, I genuinely appreciated the daily routine at New Haven. The small school program offered focused, one-on-one attention that I desperately needed. Additionally, bringing my cat, Neko, home with me was a truly special part of my experience.I ve noticed that many individuals who express dissatisfaction with New Haven often struggle with gender dysphoria. In my opinion, New Haven may not be the best fit for children seeking gender identity therapy. Instead, I believe it effectively serves those dealing with issues such as substance abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, hyper-promiscuity, family-related challenges, and occasionally eating disorders.Through reflection, I've come to realize that the consequences I faced at New Haven were a direct result of my actions rather than any form of abuse as stated in other reviews. While I sometimes felt that the consequences were overwhelming as a teenager, this experience ultimately led to my growth. Acknowledging my role in my circumstances was difficult but liberating. Although I hold some resentment for missing key moments in my teenage years, like prom and high school events, I am incredibly grateful to be sober and alive today. I cherish the memories I do have, especially considering the path I was on before coming to New Haven.I sometimes find myself missing the supportive environment at New Haven and would love the opportunity to return for a tour. Overall, my experience was complex, but it undeniably contributed to my growth and well-being. The road after has been challenging, but I learned invaluable tools to navigate issues like drug abuse, abusive relationships, and self-hatred. Now at 27, I do not regret my time at New Haven; in fact, I sometimes wish I had appreciated it more. This establishment is not abusive; it s a place that encourages you to face your reality and grow from it. As hard as it is, it s not abusive.

About a year ago, after experiencing a completely ineffective 60 day residential treatment program, my daughter, who had been struggling with profound emotional health concerns, including depression and anxiety manifesting in substance abuse, self harm and several suicide attempts, was completing her second 60 day residential treatment program, which had proven to be very impactful and transformative. While this outcome was very welcome and encouraging, as discharge approached, I was faced with the difficult choice of bringing my daughter home and hoping for the best, or continuing her treatment with a long term residential treatment program. After thoughtful deliberation and vetting, I opted for the long term residential treatment program offered at New Haven Academy.During the vetting process, and when I ultimately brought my daughter to New Haven for admission, I was scared, vulnerable and emotionally drained. I was about to commit my daughter and myself to a year long residential treatment program away from home and at significant cost - something no parent should ever have to consider. The process, commitment and cost seemed daunting. However, upon reflecting on the challenges, events and experiences that led us to residential treatment, as well as on the research and vetting I had completed on several long term residential treatment centers, I made the decision to trust my work and the staff I had met and connected with at New Haven thus far.I admitted my daughter to New Haven on February 5th, 2024. As I write this letter, it is February 14th, 2025; my daughter s transition day. During my research process, most likely similar to yours, I was provided with a virtual tour of New Haven, which included a brief interview with two current (at the time) New Haven students. When I asked what they valued most about the program, they both immediately responded with the level of parental and family engagement required of the program. This really resonated with me, as I knew truly transformative and impactful change could only occur with my intentional engagement and participation. Other important elements that stood out to me were its robust array of therapeutic supports, including substance abuse support and recreational therapy, its sports program and its serious and rigorous academic program. My past year with my daughter at New Haven has been so positive and transformative for both her and me individually and us as a family. We have both learned so much about ourselves, and have learned to really see and understand each other authentically and with intention. As a parent in my mid 50s, I pushed myself to show up physically and emotionally for every therapy session and programmed multi-family event. This also meant completing with intention all of the parent homework included in the New Haven program handbook, as well as various projects assigned by our therapist.Throughout our time in the program, I always felt supported through our primary therapist, programmed activities, such as support calls and Parent Weekends, and by individual parent coaching. The result was that, while my daughter and I had a good foundational relationship before starting at New Haven, I learned about emotional blind spots I had, and how to overcome them to show up for her to repair, rebuild and strengthen our relationship with a much deeper trust and connection, and she has learned how to effectively and consistently identify, cope with and overcome the emotional challenges she was struggling with.Whether you are in the process of considering New Haven Academy for your family, or you are in the early days of the program, I hope sharing our experience with you helps you with your decision and gives you hope for a healthy and fulfilling future for you and your daughter. You and your family will heal together, become more connected than you thought possible and you will all become stronger and more resilient. My very best wishes to you,Jason Lopez

Nothing has helped me come back to myself like the treatment at Deer Hollow. The effects of Complex PTSD had been ruling and ruining my life for decades. I felt hopeless and helpless and full of shame before my stay. I feel calm, connected and compassionate again. I feel like myself. I couldn t be more grateful for the experience I had here.

Provo is the 340th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $49825. This is lower than the average cost of $56782 for addiction treatment in Utah and lower than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Provo vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Provo. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Provo that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Provo.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Provo, with 6 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Cigna is the 2nd most popular with 6 treatment centers accepting it followed by UnitedHealth Group in 3rd accepted by 6 drug rehabs.
Provo has the 343rd highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Utah county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Provo or Utah county as a whole.
In 2023, Provo had the 154th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 462 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Provo. All values are per 100,000 population.
