Its hard to get sober as it is and the hospitality they showed me was impeccable. The nurses were very kind and took care of me better than the nurses in the hospitals ever did. Very nurturing. I cant say the same for the after care though...it wasn't horrible, but my experience just wasn't great. I could care less about the staff there as well. I don't recommend Chatham or w.e their sober living is called. Otherwise their rehab, 10/10 all around amazing! Highly recommend. Just follow the rules. I know its easier said than done. During my time there, I learned about how my childhood trauma had shaped my life and started me on the road to addictive behaviors. I learned about my triggers and how to cope more effectively. My behavior changed and I have been sober for more than eight months. I'm now looking forward to a happy and healthy future. Francisco Cid 3 months ago this was my first time in recovery, and it was a great experience. i did the whole thing, starting in residential then moving on to outpatient and sober living. they put me on the path and gave me the tools to make things work. i was homeless and had given up on anything changing a long time ago. after completing the program, i am now employed, for 9 months and i love my job, after sober living i found a place that would rent to me. i did the work, odyssey showed me how, and made every step very doable. they helped me get all my legal problems taken care of and made it possible to get off the streets. after 14 years i had all but given up on anything changing. odyssey house got me motivated and gave me direction. i never thought i would be able to get to where i am now, working got my own place, more than anything im happy, and feel like i have options. im in control of my life. i highly recommend anyone thinking about recovery to go to odyssey, its not easy but they will get you thru it, and its 100% worth whatever it takes to regain a handle on your life. nich jepperson 3 months ago

I did feel like there are plenty of ways to give feedback during your stay though and genuine interest in continuing to hear clients suggestions and considerations of what can be altered. My best friend had drove from Utah to pick me up because I had back to back overdoses and was close to dying every single day from an extreme GHB, methamphetamine, alcohol, and cocaine addiction, as well as heavy Xanax, klonopin, oxy, and Adderall abuse. I was so bad that he and a small group of my closest friends had to pack my apartment for me before I left, because I was so disconnected from myself and reality. For 20 years I have battled addiction off and on and was always missing the key to keep me in a place where I didn't WANT to do drugs anymore. When I got to Wasatch there was a culture shock and it was scary for me. Utah isn't as diverse as California (especially San Francisco) and there was a fear that I would be treated differently for being a gay man in a conservative state. This was not the case at Wasatch. I was greeted with love and kindness, acceptance and patience. I had a time I wanted to leave and they gave me the space to do so, alongside with the opportunity to questioning my own reasoning for it. This lead to a personal meeting with the owner of Wasatch, Mark that really showed me what This program was about. A type of love that I had never experienced from complete strangers that would soon blossom into a community of friends and family that have supported me throughout every step. Today, I am over a year sober. I have a good job, an apartment, I'm on the softball league, and I have 2 dear friends who even helped me with a car so that I could get to work and rebuild my life. I have rekindled relationships and transformed my mind, body, and spirit. This program works if you are willing to work for it too. They will show you so many variations of therapy that will explain how addiction works in the brain, a personalized therapist will challenge you to go deeper in yourself than you ever wanted, and the experiential therapy will reconnect you with life and nature. When I was researching treatment centers the first question I asked was “Do you have a chef that can handle Celiac Disease?” Diego is the chef there and not only can he handle Celiac Disease, but he does it with ease! Between Coffee Cakes, Pesto Pasta, his specialty pancakes (we all know how hard it is to make a decent GF pancake) it was beyond delicious. The average week consists of going to a local gym that is massive- check out EOS in Sandy, then process group with therapists who are also recovering addicts. You feel like they actually get it because they do! In the afternoon it’s a study class around DBT, shame resilience, and healthy communication. In the evenings on M-Th was a meeting either in house speaker or an outside meeting (shoutout to Alano club!). Friday nights were spent playing Sober Softball which I highly recommend because I had a blast! My therapist, Sharon is a strong independent woman that set a huge example to me on boundaries, something I really struggled with going into treatment and have now made strides of progress. I feel I grew as much in 8 weeks as I did in a prior 12 years of therapy. Tyler, the COO, and Jeffery my case manager were able to help me transition to a Sober Living that allowed me to get my ESA back home with me. Rich, Luke, Jeremy, Noah, Christina, Dustin and the incredible support staff also played a huge part in me graduating successfully and starting the next chapter in my life. Well respected and very helpful to the clients. Helping others overcome there addiction and behaviors is amazing. Times get tough but the Management is always behind to make things better. I know without Next level I'm not sure exactly what my life would be. They have help me grow in so many ways..
