I am a 24 year old girl who left her family 6 months ago to get sober. And well, I did it! Without Cirque and the 12 steps, none of this would’ve been possible. Shoutout to Candice the counselor who saved my life. I am ever grateful to this program. If you are even considering treatment, Cirque is hands down the place to get sober and STAY sober. I will genuinely miss all of the staff and residents and will definitely come back if in need in the future. The only feedback I have that prevents me from giving 5 stars include the cleanliness of the facility. It seems CFC has been recently acquired and the budgets have changed. It would be nice if there was more regular deep cleaning of the facilities. I also would say that there needs to be more consistency of treatment rules on the units. It gets confusing of what is and is not allowed especially when new rules are added regularly. I did feel like there are plenty of ways to give feedback during your stay though and genuine interest in continuing to hear clients suggestions and considerations of what can be altered. As a recovering addict with severe depression, anxiety, an OCD. I need something different than just NA, AA, therapy and other programs I was attending. Those programs helped. But the constant obsessive compulsive negative thoughts stress and worry. Where right back within an hour or so. This had been going on my whole life. Those are some of my earliest memories. I'll have 3 yrs clean in a few days Sept 22nd 2026. I'd cleaned up before for yrs at a time. This time I told myself I'd try anything and everything to stay clean. I'm rambling sorry. I started hearing about ketamine therapy how it can rewire your brain. So I read up on it researched it for about 6 months. Decided it was worth giving a chance. MAN did I make one of the best decisions if my life. I still have and get depressed, still deal with anxiety. It's nothing like it was. There's not 50 negative thoughts running through my head that I can't focus on. A lot of the worry that comes with anxiety is tolerable now. Rebecca Johnson has been so great and helpful. JeanAnne has also been amazing. Along with the other staff I've dealt with. Breathwork and soundbaths I haven't attended at Harper clinic but I have at another place I go regularly Fit to Recover. They've helped me immensely. If you'd told those things would help at the beginning of my recovery journey. As I told the woman that lead my first soundbath. I would have said get out of here with your hippy B.S. Harper clinic has helped me so much. I'd recommend them to anyone. They have always been very understanding, and actually give a shit about their patients and their well being… unlike other places (down the street). They always have a smile and it’s not like you’re walking into jail to get medicine. They have helped me tremendously… and I’m sure have saved countless of others lives. All the staff are awesome, Sean is a stud, and they actually care about what direction you’re headed, instead of just wanting money. They aren’t perfect, but I have seen a few meltdowns from patients the staff didn’t deserve. But im pretty thorough with customer service because it’s my career. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else, if you are trying to get your life back! Their therapist and faculty genuinely care for their clients and tell them what they need to hear, not necessarily what they want to hear. They know from personal experience the struggles of addiction and helped me break down some serious walls that allowed me to hear the messages needed for me to find a new and much happier way of living. I found out later it was heroin and also other dangerous things. They both lost their jobs and both Overdosed a bunch. Residential didn't seem to ever last we sent them to a few over the last 15 years. One day they called this number on the internet after talking to friends. They had friends going to this Orem clinic Comprehensive something. I was not happy I had heard so much bad stuff about Methadone clinics. They were sent a message from the clinic about their appointment and my son and I had decided we were not going to do methadone. I didnt know then but I do now the director Josh had been the guy messaging him. He gave him support even though he said he didnt want methadone he have him other options. He helped him get connected to a group of good people. He sent him some good meeting he can go to. Every time my son messaged him he answered and we were not even going there. I never learned so much about recovery and family support. We eventually decided to come in and now my son's are doing better than they have ever done EVER! I am thrilled they are doing something they are finally like sober and alive working. I could never thank you all enough for all you did all the staff helped them. They and I are so so thankful for those who even if we were not going there still supported us still helped my sons for weeks before they came in. Thank you! Incredible. New Haven gave me what I needed to succeed, not what I wanted but what I needed. As always, there were definitely ups and downs to my stay but that is to be expected if anyone is growing and learning. And, I learned so many lessons that will keep me on the right path in life. One of the most important things that I learned during my stay was that I am good enough. That I don’t have to be good enough for others to be good enough for myself. I learned that honesty, even when it is hard, is one of the best ways to achieve a healthy relationship with anyone. This helped me grow my relationship with my parents because the value of honesty is one of the most important ones for our family. The program doesn’t just focus on the kid but the family as a whole. One big thing that they have the families explore is the idea of the problem is the problem. That no individual is the issue but, the actions and contributing factors are. My family and I have been taught how to separate the person from the action in order to move through a problem to get to the other side. There are many important pieces that build on healthy relationships and New Haven gave me the space to figure out how to have those healthy relationships. The staff who work there are truly there for the kids, to help them grow and move through the challenges that come their way. My therapist, Amy is one of the most brilliant people I have ever met. She would tell it to me straight if I messed up, give me advice when I needed it, help me work through my trauma, and have fun with me too. The program also assigns a residential staff to each student called a relational coach. My coach was Lauryn and she helped me work through the dynamics of healthy relationships. She stuck with me through my entire journey even when it was hard. I now have so many people in my corner including Amy and Lauryn who are rooting for me, that I can lean on when I need support. I have lots of tools to use when I make mistakes that can help me bounce back faster every time. I have so many healthy relationships with my family, my peers, the staff, and my therapist. I no longer have to worry about whether I have a future or not, because I now have all the things that I need to be successful in the goals that I work toward. I have learned that it is okay to struggle, that it is a normal thing that happens to everyone, but what counts is how you deal with it. I owe a big thank you to everyone who supported me, all of the employees, the amazing peers, Amy and Lauryn, and the amazing place and community that I have loved to be a part of. My daughter had some trauma when she was younger and when she started at New Haven, she was self-harming and thinking of suicide. The staff there kept her safe while supporting her needs, and her therapist, Amy, worked with both strength and grace. The program here not only focuses on the kids' behaviors, but also on repairing and making family interactions healthier. Amy pushed my daughter and me to both hold our own and respect the other's boundaries. While neither of us is perfect, my daughter and I are now at a point where we feel like we can talk with each other if issues come up, rather than arguing about it. Prior to her treatment, I was terrified for her future. Now, after her time at New Haven, I have the confidence that she will be able to go into adulthood with an emotional maturity that few possess, and that she and I will have a stronger and healthier relationship.
