From the therapists, to counselors, to the front line and shift lead. The staff is great here. The owners are awesome, very personable, and seem to be involved which is nice. They have any amenity you can possibly think of. From the horses, to the sauna, the full size basketball court. The food is amazing. The views are breathtaking. I really enjoyed the groups and the one on one with my counselor/therapist. Center for Change has saved my life multiple times, and I truly cannot recommend it enough. If you don’t read this whole review, just know this: if you or someone you love is struggling with an eating disorder, CFC is absolutely worth considering. I’ve been to multiple treatment centers, and this one is different. From the moment I walked in, I felt it. The environment is warm and homey, and the staff genuinely care. I’ve never once felt like “just another patient.” Everything is individualized, and they meet you where you’re at. Inpatient is where my life was saved. The nurses and techs are incredibly attentive, especially when you come in with serious medical complications. One nurse in particular took the time to really talk to me when I was struggling to even begin recovery, and that moment made a huge difference. Inpatient can be hard after a while. But it’s not forever, and it gets so much better as you move through the program. Residential gave me more freedom, connection, and space to grow. There are groups where more people engage, time outside, yoga, and even a dance class (RIMBA) that helped me rethink my relationship with movement. The staff here truly care. From therapists to leadership, people take the time to know you, support you, and challenge you in the ways you need. Even small things, like how comfortable and welcoming the space feels, make a difference. Nicole, the CEO, is truly someone special. As someone who has recovered herself, she gives so much hope to patients. She leads groups that everyone wants to go to, and she somehow makes time to get to know people individually. I’ve never been anywhere where leadership is that present and that personal. She really cares. I also have to mention Glenn, who does maintenance but honestly I feel like he’s there to make people smile. He’s one of those little things that makes CFC feel different. There’s a sense of community in the building that’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it. CFC also creates moments of joy in recovery, like talent shows, unit games, fundraisers, and outings like thrifting. It reminds you that life can still be fun, even in the middle of something really hard. If you’re reading this, I know how scary things probably feel right now. I might change it bit for now it will be just Staying Sober. I started in Orem 5 years ago I think it. I was on probation then. I had 15 years hanging over my head. I had lost my wife and kids because I just kept disappearing. I was suicidal and failed in IOP and Residential. Every time I came in there to the Orem Clinic people were talking to me. People were stopping me, asking me how I was. Encouraging me to go to group, meet with my counselor. I got mad and I was resistant and resentful even hateful Emily and Josh would know it. They were patient and determined and kind and they helped me find hope and reason to live. I am going to be maybe in the next year tapered out. This place is incredible. I cant thank you all enough. I love someone you there and I know it weird to say but you are all Inhad for years. I have my kids back in my life and. Y wife. Things are good. Staying Sober Unknown 2 months ago I would have to say out of the other clinics I've tried in Utah this is one of the better ones they actually showed that they care about you you're not just a number to them that's just paying a fee for methadone they actually treat you right your counselor actually contacts you and is understanding. I've had bad experiences with another provider in the past who told me they were there for me told me I could call anytime but when it actually happened there were they were nowhere to be found and just ignored me so if you're looking for a place to actually treat you like a person and care about your sobriety this is the place this other place didn't care about my sobriety and luckily I made it through it and I'm super grateful for Orem comprehensive to getting me in the same day I called when I was having the problems I was having and instead of having me wait another day they got me right in and I really appreciate the staff for doing that. I have been to quite a few treatment centers and Steps stands at the top of all. Their therapist and faculty genuinely care for their clients and tell them what they need to hear, not necessarily what they want to hear. They know from personal experience the struggles of addiction and helped me break down some serious walls that allowed me to hear the messages needed for me to find a new and much happier way of living. Today I am so grateful that I was able to get into step and would recommend it to anyone who is ready to take suggestions and do the work. How freeing it has been for me. I’ve struggled with alcohol/addiction for the majority of my life. I found real help here (for my mental health as well). I found real people here. It was honestly some of the best weeks of my life. If any of my family or friends are struggling with drinking/using I will refer them here. This is a special place. A place that fosters cultivation of real personal growth. I’m currently in their IOP program after graduating residential, and it’s excellent aftercare. This place changed my life. Of course it came with challenges; but the environment, culture, and staff here are all great. I’m the one who had to commit to recovery, but this is the place to do it. Flying in from North Carolina, MK, Sean and Becca were really helpful and respectful of my needs for sobriety. MK, guided me through Admissions and played a key part during my time at Pinnacle. I was worried at first that this facility was just like any other rehabs. Just a common money grab, but to my surprise Pinnacle really wants the best for you. After coming from NextStep Detox, I was greeted by Anthony and Sean! They gave me a great orientation and the clients gave me a warm welcome! Becca and Sean over saw our programming and were very helpful with personal development and were very attentive regarding outside needs during treatment. If I needed to see my legal team or doctors, etc. Becca and Sean would take took time out of their schedule to assist me. The support staff are very friendly, they treated me like I was their best friend. If I got out of line the support staff would help correct me in a way that wasn’t punitive. Anthony and Brooke are both in recovery and so is most staff, they really cared about your sobriety, and will guide you through recovery. The food scene is amazing, nutritious and very healthy. Chef Ed is off the chart, a great chef. I’m not a salmon fan, but he made me a delicious meal to substitute for Salmon! Chef Ed picks fresh foods, so nothing is old or boring! The Interns, and therapists really want to see you be successful. My therapist Julie has gone above and beyond when it came to help my mental health. Her approach to mental health is really awe inspiring. I really appreciate Cassie, Cory and Londyn help as well! The activities are made to help you feel comfortable while working on yourself. Troy, MK, Sean and Becca have built a truly remarkable treatment facility. From Mental Health treatment, to the recreational activities, their passion to help clients are more than I expected. Clinicians and admissions worked together to ensure I could continue the work we started with their PHP and IOP programs, which I feel were crucial. After years of struggling with pain and confusion of trauma, on and off the job, they were able to listen, hold space and help me begin to understand, heal and grow. Deer Hollow takes a truly holistic approach to wellness, incorporating nutrition support, physical exercise, yoga, and community service alongside group and individual therapy. This place agreed with me that my son had a problem during intake. They took my insurance money for intensive outpatient treatment and told my young adult son still in high school that his substance use was normal, but that he should keep coming for good life advice. He was high the day they graduated him, and they knew it. They told me in front of him, while he was high, that he was a good kid and normal and let everyone in the rest of the outpatient group at graduation think he had gotten sober so it would make Reflections look good. My son is still using, got suspended from high school for using at school, and was failing all his classes because he kept skipping to hang out with his druggie friends. Reflections staff are liars and thieves. AVOID!!! Unethical and unprofessional. Now my son has refused to get an evaluation for mental health based on this place telling him his substance use is "normal." Update: My son got worse in his marijuana addiction after moving out after high school. He finally agreed to inpatient rehab at a different facility. I want to start by saying my daughter really struggled academically and behaviorally and my biggest fear was sending her to a place that would cause more harm then good. I researched and researched to make sure I found a place that I knew my daughter would be safe in. One thing about New Haven is the family support from other parents. New Haven was recommended to me from another parent who’s child was currently in the program and I am so happy I chose this placement. The first month was the hardest for both of us, her behaviors increased and so did my anxiety, however her therapist and the staff kept me well informed and walked me through all interventions! By month two we saw so much growth and stability from my daughter. The family therapies really helped us learn what she was feeling and how we can get closer as a family. Nursing was exceptional, they are very quick to respond to my questions and I had LOTS of questions regarding medication. They really listen to what my daughter was saying and did everything they can to help her with her symptoms of her diagnosis. The school portion was also amazing, my daughter struggled with school avoid and they worked with her and got her on a path where not only is she going to school and is doing the work and passing! She is very excited to go back to her school and show all her teachers what she has accomplished. The other thing that made me feel very comfortable with this transition to programming was the was the way milieu was ran. When you have 16 girls with 16 different reasonings of why they are admitted can easily create cauois but the staff really created an environment where the girls can grow safely and effectively. But also not to forget the girls really were their for eachother like a sisterhood. The only reason why I chose not to give 5 stars to New Haven was because it is not finaclially maintainable if insurance runs out and have no other source of funding it is very expensive. Although her therapist really advocated for her our Insurance dropped us and we had to leave before the program was completed. If I had to recommend a RTC for your daughter I highly recommend New Haven.
