UPDATE: unfortunately it's been a couple years and still on the methadone but that's because of other issues and my body needing long relief from pain, with that being said i just wanted to thank Mary and Dr Stephen for treating me as a patient and working outside of the addiction side of treatment and willing to work with the recommendations from my personal Dr's, i seriously can't express how compassionate you all have been and treat me with the upmost respect, anyone truly looking for the right place for help look no further CTC of Layton and all there people really do care. I've been on methadone before and tried getting off it cold turkey and if I can give any advice don't! Be patient and do it slow by tappering and just trust the program, I went two months in complete hell withdrawing that was beyond fun, I tried going to my original clinic but they couldn't take new patients so I came here, Mary is my counselor and she made me feel very respected and she was extremely caring and listened and just made the whole process very easy, I highly recommend this clinic if you are struggling and need help, utah is extremely hard getting this kind of help and its hard finding people who actually care and listen, dr Stephen is also very compassionate and listen as well, thanks for all your help I feel my life already getting back on track.

This is a safe place to go for help. The counselors, nurses, reception, the doctor and even the other patients are wonderful. I've been coming here for over 6 months. I've been treated with respect and the supportive environment has been vital to my recovery. Everybody working there is there because they want to be. Because they genuinely care and want to help you. There's accountability when I need it without feeling judged. My counselor Caitlin is one of the best people I've ever met. Her warmth makes her easy to talk to. She's so smart and she's great at helping with addiction issues. Whether it's a quick hello or she's checking in with me to see how I'm doing. I always look forward to seeing her when I come in to dose.

I have been coming to DBH since I was just a young boy and I have loved every minute of it. The therapists and the councilors and staff are people that truly care for their clients and they are in more ways my family that I always needed. It is such a blessing to have them available for my recovery and to keep my mind in a sane place. I see this place at least 5 times a week and would recommend them to anyone. Even when I moved out of state I kept in touch a lot and the first thing I did when I got back was check in with them and they helped me get on my feet again. They reintroduced me to Journey House again and I have daily people and friends now that support every thing and every decision that I make. they help with home arrangements and therapeutic action. I needed to take a few days off during Covid 19 and they would bring me lunch. They were the shining star I was looking for and I came home to them and they welcomed me with open arms. I love you and will always be yours truly. Thankyou from Wings Blahut

I am honored to write a review for Spirit Mountain Recovery. I truly cannot say enough about the quality of their programming, the professionalism of the staff, and the commitment to putting resources directly back into a program that genuinely cares. Our family has extensive experience with rehabilitation facilities. Two of our sons have been through many programs - we have done the research, tried them, and paid for them. Because of this, we know what works, what is real and what isn't. Do not waste your time hesitating - Spirit Mountain Recovery is truly exceptional. The leadership here is real and deeply committed. These are people that will move heaven and earth to help save lives. This program will build you back up, hold you accountable to do the work, fully integrate families ino the healing process and support you with genuine care and compassion. Every staff that works there is compassionate, present, and deeply invested in the success of the men in their care. Their dedication, integrity and heart are what make all the difference. There is no facility that compares to what Spirit Mountain offers. Our family is profoundly grateful. Eileen Ballard

Brighton Recovery Center quite literally saved my life. I was there from February-March 2023, and learned so many tools that have helped me stay sober, now three and a half years later! As both a former patient and someone who now serves in peer support for mental health and addiction, as well as an Employee Assistance Representative, I’ve had the opportunity to see treatment from both the patient and professional perspective. Looking back, Brighton Recovery remains one of the most impressive treatment programs I’ve experienced. The facility is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, therapeutic environment where patients can focus on healing. Brighton Recovery offers a comprehensive, individualized approach that addresses addiction, trauma, and mental health rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Every aspect of the program is well planned, and the clinical staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each person’s recovery. Jonathan Saul’s vision of creating a healing environment is evident throughout the program. Patients are treated with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion while receiving high-quality, evidence-based care. Based on both my personal experience and my work helping others navigate treatment options, I would confidently recommend Brighton Recovery to anyone seeking exceptional care for addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.

My overall experience at Brighton was amazing, I'm so deeply grateful for everyone at the South Ogden location. The staff and residents have cultivated an environment that truly supports growth and I left feeling deeply fulfilled. I went in with the mindset "I have to get sober" and left with "I get to be sober." They showed me life can be enjoyed, just just endured. Not white knuckling my way every second of my life. For anyone considering this step, you truly get out what you put in. If you come in surrendered, open, and willing to accept the process, the reward is life changing, I promise with all my heart. Taking that step requires immense vulnerability, but at Brighton, that vulnerability is matched by a team that genuinely cares. The head nurse, Siobhan, was a true blessing, my therapist Shawn was amazing, and the technician staff were all fantastic. It is so important to be surrounded by people who are passionate about their work, and that is exactly what I felt every day. I really appreciated the balanced program they offer combining deep group therapy and individual one-on-one sessions with holistic activities like spirituality, exercise, art, and outdoor time. While there were a few days where communication felt a little disconnected, the team overall stayed completely on top of the program and delivered a remarkably strong experience. I’m sharing this because deciding to enter recovery can be terrifying. I hope my experience can be a beacon of hope for someone else standing on the edge of that choice... Take the leap. You will be supported here!!💛

This is my second go round… been goin to for like 6 months maybe a lil longer.. this place is far from perfect.. but just like everywhere else ur experience is what u make of it! Sure its ghetto… n seems that everyone that goes or well 90% of the clients clearly still use… but if u pay to much attention to those details rather than the real reason ur goin there ( your self) then u have already lost the fight.. stop taking so much time worrying about everyone else and focus on u and why u r getting help! Recommend to anyone that isn’t worried about sitting back and judging everyone else and just worry about their own needs!

I found my wife dead overdosed In Her bedroom, was able to bring her back and brought her to this clinic. We had no insurance, no money, and no resources. The staff here actually paid out of their own pockets to get my wife her medication each day until her insurance came thru. A entire week stabilizing her dose and by that time she was no longer using. She was able to focus on living and be excited to wake up each day. It helped bring her back down to earth and gave her and me our hope and positive outlook on our lives. We're so grateful for this place and others like it. It may not be for everyone but It helped save our lives Thank you.

Money wasn't an issue, I paid out of pocket to start and they helped me get on benefits to ease the costs. But at no time did they turn me away for any reason. My experience with the Odyssey House of Utah was life changing. I spent seven months at the Lighthouse on 745 E 300 S in Salt Lake City. During my time there, I learned about how my childhood trauma had shaped my life and started me on the road to addictive behaviors. I learned about my triggers and how to cope more effectively. My behavior changed and I have been sober for more than eight months. I'm now looking forward to a happy and healthy future.

this was my first time in recovery, and it was a great experience. i did the whole thing, starting in residential then moving on to outpatient and sober living. they put me on the path and gave me the tools to make things work. i was homeless and had given up on anything changing a long time ago. after completing the program, i am now employed, for 9 months and i love my job, after sober living i found a place that would rent to me. i did the work, odyssey showed me how, and made every step very doable. they helped me get all my legal problems taken care of and made it possible to get off the streets. after 14 years i had all but given up on anything changing. odyssey house got me motivated and gave me direction. i never thought i would be able to get to where i am now, working got my own place, more than anything im happy, and feel like i have options. im in control of my life. i highly recommend anyone thinking about recovery to go to odyssey, its not easy but they will get you thru it, and its 100% worth whatever it takes to regain a handle on your life.

I've been going here for about a month now. It's been years since I've gone to a clinic. In the past I haven't had the greatest experiences at clinics due to many factors. Like having too many patients and/or lack of empathy. Their intake processes were always so ridiculous. They would make u jump through 100 hoops just to start dosing. And sometimes if you didn't meet their unrealistic qualifications they would turn u away and tell u to come back another day. But Tranquility Place has put those places to shame! The intake process is easy and painless and goes by quick! They get u to dose right away. They have dr's there each morning to help get u to a comfortable dose. The staff there is beyond helpful, professional, very sweet and personable. Very passionate about what they do there and it shows. Ive never felt judged and I've been met with a lot of compassion. I check in with my counselor maybe once a week for no more than 10-20 min at a time. Groups are available but not mandatory! Each time I dose im in and out in the blink of an eye. There is never a wait time when I come in to dose. I'm finally stable and my quality of life is already improving. I was against going back on methadone for a long time. But if u are anything like me and have had long term issues with opiates and u are considering a clinic, Tranquility Place is the clinic to go to! Trust me!

I recently participated in the Optimal Aging Program at HMHI after a very frightening hospital stay. I’d lost my memory due to a bout of delirium. My son was aware of the program and what it offered, which included group therapy, movement class, and participation in art, music, and writing classes. The program is run by an incredible group of dedicated professionals and dedicated volunteers whose efforts brought me back to life. They taught me new coping skills, including very helpful breathing techniques, grounding exercises, and meditation. I’ve been able to help my loved one use those same skills in difficult situations to find relief. Dr. Solomon, Amber, Bri, Ann, and Kelly helped me find resolution to some very deep seated issues and brought me back to a brighter, purposeful life. I can never thank them enough for the kind, compassionate, thoughtful, intelligent treatment they provided to me. And the volunteers were all amazing people who donated their time to a valuable community resource. I wish this program was available to everyone who has experienced a loss of self, whether through a medical or mental health crisis. I am forever indebted to this program, the people who staff it, and the incredible other participants I met. Everyone involved can do hard things. And we did and will continue to work towards healing and a healthy, purposeful future. Thank you all so very much.

Amethyst Center for Healing, and Jana Fulmer changed my life. As a trans person recovering from trauma, this was a safe haven that is irreplaceable. I was given space and tools to start discovering more about myself and how to grow when in a place of pain. I also really respect what they do— not only working with victims of violence but those who have hurt others. This reparative justice ethos is inspiring and part of a future that focuses on rehabilitation not punitive systems. I’m so much happier with my life, and a lot of that has to do with the empowerment and trust I was given at Amethyst to start making decisions in my life that were more focused and less reactionary. Jana showed true care and empathy towards me, and helped me feel supported and valued. I can’t recommend enough!

Odyssey house has remained my source of hope and connection in the recovery community, and has always demonstrated long-suffering and forgiveness. I have spend the last 2 decades reverting from active addiction into recovery, and vica versa. Once I decided to surrender my will and put full trust in the process, every aspect of my life began to improve. I am so thankful that Odyssey house has given me yet another chance! ILoveThisHouse!

My experience at Haven Inpatient Treatment truly changed my life. When I came in, I was at one of my lowest points. I felt lost, broken, and unsure if I could ever get my life back together. The staff here didn’t just treat my addiction ,they treated me like a person who mattered. Because of Haven, I was able to rebuild myself from the inside out. They helped me realize that I am worth it. They gave me the tools, support, and accountability I needed to stay clean and make better choices. Today, my life looks completely different. I have my kids back in my life, I’ve reunited with my family, and I’m present in ways I never was before. I can honestly say my life is so much better without drugs. Haven didn’t just help me get sober , they helped me find myself again. I’ll always be grateful for the role they played in saving my life and helping me become the father and man I’m meant to be. Thank you to the haven 974 house for all they've done for me and all the other addicts that truly want change

My son was just transferred to Benchmark from a facility here in Alaska. From the first contact, they were helpful, hopeful, and encouraging to my son and our family. Mindy is his therapist and she has kept in contact with my husband and I and made sure to ask deep questions about our son and his bio family. She takes time to show our son what trauma can do to your brain. Even with the time difference, the staff always makes sure our son gets to talk to us everyday. Without fail. They went over all his meds as well as making sure we as his parents understood what he’s on, why, and what side effects he could have. He hasn’t been there very long, but this is the first time in years that there is hope our son won’t just be another statistic in the system. Thank you Benchmark!

This is my experience visiting my nephew 2 weeks ago. I call often so Sophia has always been so pleasant. Visting was even better. I am from California so it isn't easy to make it out there as often as i would like but my experience with everyone was great. My nephew wasn't able to leave campus due to his actions the night before but they allowed us to spend as much time with him while we were at the facility. We were able to meet a few of the staff including his therapist JB who is great! I appreciate everyone there, bc this job isn't easy. They deal with many kids with different personalities and issues. I know the journey isn't over yet, but I feel like my nephew is in good hands here. Thank you all for doing what you do and hope he can come home soon.
