About BAART Programs Ogden

BAART Programs Ogden, located in Ogden, Utah, provides a range of outpatient services to adults seeking recovery from substance use disorders. I like the attention they put into ensuring all of your needs are met through their medication assisted treatments (MAT) and robust referrals to other resources in the community to assist you with practical needs.

To access care, BAART Programs Ogden works with various insurance providers and they take Medicaid. They provide sliding fee scales and self-pay options. I appreciate the financial assistance they extend to ensure you can be seen regardless of your situation.

MAT and SUD Outpatient Services

If you experience opioid use disorder or addiction to painkillers, MAT may be a great option for you. MAT involves the utilization of safe medications like buprenorphine (Suboxone) to help your body detoxify in a manner that is designed to keep you as comfortable as possible.

In combination with medication, you’ll partake in counseling that helps you address the emotional components that often affect your thoughts, choices and substance use. For more extensive needs such as housing or vocational help, their case management programs will provide you with referrals to agencies that can help with your practical life needs.

Former patients of BAART Programs Ogden speak about the nonjudgemental atmosphere and compassion of the care teams. Other alumni have emphasized convenient schedules for dosing and medication assistance.

Activities in Downtown Ogden

The facility is near the Historic 25th Street District where you can find delicious dining options, entertainment and historic insight about the community. There’s also Ogden’s Union Station, which offers beautiful art and museums. With ample access to bus routes and public transportation, you will not run out of fun things to do while in the area on treatment days.

I really liked this place at first. After going there for a while. I noticed a few things that made me uncomfortable. If someone was walking up to the door and the it was 10:59. One of their counselors. I don't remember his name. If they didn't open the door before that clock went from 10:59 to 11. He would lock them out and he would laugh about it. My husband and I had lost our Medicaid. We were made aware of that when BAART tried to bill Medicaid for 2 months of service for each of us. Suddenly we had a $1,600 balance I will give their director this at least. She was kind enough to allow us one week to get it fixed before initiating a brutal administrative taper. It took over two weeks to fix our Medicaid. By then our doses had been dropped by 10% every day. Once someone reaches 40mg they're discharged from the clinic. After 1 1/2 weeks. My husband and I only had 2 days left before we would be discharged. We were so sick. Medicaid only paid one month for each of us. Our balance was still $800. We had been struggling. We were still working on getting our lives back in order. Hence the methadone. My husband had just found a new job after months of searching. We explained our situation to the director. We offered to make weekly payments of $50 for 4 weeks and then we'd pay the remaining balance in full on the 5th week. She said that wouldn't be enough to stop the taper and the discharge. That we would need to bring at least $200 with us the next morning and we'd have to pay $200 weekly. There was no way that we would be able to come up with that

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter a drug rehab in Utah, the process usually involves four stages: treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Treatment methods can rely on medications, counseling, or both, in either an outpatient or inpatient setting.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

During individual therapy, men and women in Utah work with their therapists to build healthier daily habits and create coping strategies to manage stress. These are two components necessary for sustained sobriety and improved overall health.

Accreditations

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is a non-profit organization that specifically accredits rehab organizations. Founded in 1966, CARF's, mission is to help service providers like rehab facilities maintain high standards of care.

This is a horrible place. They have one counselor for over 300 patients. The only counseling you get is when they pile everybody into a zoom meeting so you have absolutely no confidentiality and they'll even call you out by your name in this meeting. Highly highly unprofess ... Read More
