Sad I was having a heart attack. Took my top down and rolled me around in a room with men. Put me on a helicopter. Got to the hospital and they said “You are NOT having a heart attack”. This place should be shut down

Like other recent reviewers have experienced I am extremely disappointed with how my care has been handled. My doctor recently transitioned out of the center and I received that absolute best care from her while she was my primary. Since she left my medication, which I have been on daily for years, is suddenly cancelled and without any kind of notification. When I reach out for help the blame is effectively put on me and I’m told a new patient appointment is required. That takes time to schedule and will also apparently cost me $240 just to get the medications I should already have access to. Now I will be off my medication for over a month, thank you for that. It took 3 emails before the RN even apologized and tried to be empathetic. Overall I think that UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center does not care about providing quality or consistent care. I’m extremely grateful my condition isn’t life threatening and I won’t be recommending or speaking highly of this facility. UCHealth, please do not even bother to reply with your copy pasta. It’s insincere and only reinforces the point that you don’t take these reviews seriously.

If I could leave a -1000 negative star review I would. Estes Park Health does not have your health in mind. They do not have your interests in mind. They just want your money. Dr. Delauro is a doctor set on making money off of her patience and using trauma bonding over her missing son to try and create sympathy toward you. She does not care about you. I want to be clear. This hospital will be everything possible to avoid helping you. Go somewhere else.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
