I was at Beachway from March to May 2026. This rehab is like no other. I rehabbed 4 times and relapsed quickly at other rehabs. Beachway actually taught me about the disease and myself. The facilitators are caring and very knowledgeable. All the staff just wants what’s best for you. They are pleasant and make sure you’re always safe. The amenities and grounds are a beautiful plus. The trauma program helped me significantly. Satori is amazing. The clients are friendly and welcoming and become like family. Therapist are supportive and know what they are doing. Over all this place saved my life. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to be apart of it.

Beachway is an excellent place to heal, recharge, learn, and grow. The staff is awesome. They really care and want to help. I unknowingly had several short conversations with the owner while I was there, and this great place is a testament to this kind man. I am VERY grateful for the help and healing I received.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Accreditations

State Licenses are permits issued by government agencies that allow rehab organizations to conduct business legally within a certain geographical area. Typically, the kind of program a rehab facility offers, along with its physical location, determines which licenses are required to operate legally.

Without a doubt the best thing that ever happened to me The facility is great Every one there from the techs nurses staff and especially therapists are the best And they have a Christian track and a trauma track that are world class One shout out to Pastor Troy. A absolute embodiment of what Christ himself is like. Even if you’re not a Christian and you slightly have an inkling that there is a higher power in this universe and or not. You will gain so much insight and peace from Pastor Troy This was my second time to a Rehab facility for alcohol drugs and Porn addiction. My first was fall of 2024 to a facility funny enough 4 miles from Beachway. That facility cured me of alcohol. But Beachway provided the cure on the drugs and porn. Why u ask ? Because they really got down to the root causes of my problems How. For me I need a complete restoration of heart mind body and soul . Beachway provided all of this comprehensively So check it out. And being 64 I didn’t have another rodeo in me Lastly after you get healed and cured it is up to you to maintain what the facility did for you and your efforts that you put into recovery You immediately got to get into a 12 step program. Find a good sponsor to help you in the big book. And I mean within 24 hours of leaving rehab. 80% of people are successful in beating their addictions doing this. Otherwise the chances are you’re going to be back in a rehab jail or dead. The addictions just grow like a cancer and this goes for mental health as well. Also I attend Beachway Alumni meetings and Beachway bible study via zoom that is provided for alumni. So with that why wait. Make the call what do you have nothing to lose and your life to reclaim

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is almost impossible to put into words what Beachway has meant to me. I arrived at Beachway needing help, but I left with so much more than I ever could have imagined. Beachway gave me a safe place to begin with detox and then provided the structure, education, accountability, and support I needed to build a real foundation for sobriety. I didn’t simply learn how to stop using—I learned how to live sober. I learned to recognize my triggers, understand the emotions underneath them, develop healthier coping skills, and begin creating a life in recovery that I genuinely want to protect. The therapists, staff, groups, programs, and community challenged me to look honestly at myself, understand things I had carried for years, and learn healthier ways to move forward. Beachway gave me tools that I know I will carry with me for the rest of my life. But one of the greatest gifts Beachway gave me was the people. I walked through those doors surrounded by strangers and walked out with some of the best friends I will ever have in my life. There is something incredibly powerful about going through such a vulnerable, difficult, life-changing experience alongside people who truly understand you. We laughed together, cried together, challenged each other, encouraged each other, and celebrated each other’s victories. Those friendships became a huge part of my experience and my recovery, and I genuinely believe many of them will last a lifetime. Beachway wasn’t simply a place I went for treatment. It became a community where I felt seen, supported, challenged, and cared about. I learned more about myself there than I ever expected, and I left with a completely different perspective on my life, my sobriety, and my future. I will forever be grateful to the therapists, medical and nursing staff, techs, and every person who walked beside me during my time there. And to the incredible friends I made along the way—you will always be part of my story. If you are considering Beachway and wondering whether taking that first step is worth it, I can only speak from my own experience: going to Beachway changed my life. I came there looking for help. I left sober, with tools for a new life, memories I will never forget, and friendships I wouldn’t trade for anything. Thank you, Beachway. ❤️

My experience at Beachway was complicated. Parts of the program genuinely helped me, especially the groups. I learned skills I still use around DBT, emotional regulation, boundaries, slowing down before reacting, and recognizing dysregulation. Being away from home gave me space to focus on myself, and I made meaningful connections with other clients. I expected residential treatment to build on the work I had already done with my outpatient therapist and psychiatrist. I believe I signed releases allowing Beachway to communicate with both. However, my therapist at home was not contacted to establish background or discuss work we had already completed, and she did not receive notes from my Beachway therapists afterward. I am also unsure whether my psychiatric records were reviewed or incorporated into treatment planning. Several individual therapy assignments repeated work I had already done extensively at home. At times, treatment felt more like moving through a predetermined framework than something tailored to my history and progress. I also did not know until later that I could ask to meet with my individual therapist more than once a week. I struggled with how my initiative was sometimes interpreted. After a group on boundaries, I wrote boundaries for my family and asked another therapist to help me review them. I later felt chastised by my primary therapist for doing so and never received the individualized help I had been seeking. When I worked independently on concepts introduced in groups, I felt criticized for “controlling” my own therapeutic journey and was told this likely reflected how I showed up at home or difficulty with trust and interpersonal relationships. I understand therapy should challenge you, but I sometimes felt broad assumptions were being made rather than explored collaboratively. Communication involving my ROI also became a concern. On at least two occasions, my therapist’s account of what had been said differed from what my partner told me. In one instance, my therapist attributed a statement to me that I do not remember making. When I tried to clarify these discrepancies, I did not feel they were adequately resolved, which made it harder to feel secure in the therapeutic relationship. I was also uncomfortable with the emphasis on extending treatment. At one point, I was told therapists could tell within about five minutes of meeting someone whether they needed to extend their stay. The pressure around staying longer became stressful and felt like it took time and emotional energy away from making the most of the time I could stay. After discharge, I have had difficulty reaching people, getting necessary documentation completed, and connecting with resources. At the same time, I continue to receive promotional emails for other Beachway programs and retreats, which has been disappointing when follow-up on actual care needs has been difficult. I do not regret my experience. I gained useful skills, benefited from groups, developed greater awareness of my emotional regulation, and grew during my time there. But I believe it could have been much better with stronger coordination with existing providers, more individualized treatment, clearer communication about therapy options and ROIs, and better follow-through after discharge. If you already have an established therapist or psychiatrist, I would recommend asking how they will be involved, whether prior therapeutic work will be reviewed, how often you can meet individually with your therapist, what will be shared with your ROI, and what follow-up support you can expect. I came to Beachway prepared to work hard. My biggest disappointment was feeling that some of that motivation and initiative was treated as something to correct instead of something that could have been used to create a more collaborative, individualized treatment experience.
