How is this place still open?!?! They are a scam plain and simple! The program costs over 30,000 last time I checked.. They teach Dianetics the basis of Scientology. Yet they say they are not affiliated. They do not allow any medications including aspirin and Tylenol..A few people even died from not receiving insulin that was prescribed! The highlight of the program they call sauna therapy which makes the false and unscientific claim that it rids the body of toxins. A quick Google search is all you need to debunk this claim.. An overdose of niacin is also used and claimed it's "helping your body get rid of Toxins". Not only is this not true but also dangerous. I was also put in a room and told to share with 8 other guys and one bathroom. The facility was dirty and overcrowded. The staff was creepy and a few even seemed high! If you care about your loved one Do not let them go here! I've been on methadone program for a year and I finally have my life back!. Narcanon's treatment only has Narconon itself to back its efficiency. no AMA no NIDA..They make a lot of claims but show no evidence.. Shame on Narcanon or anyone who is affiliated with them for taking advantage of such a vulnerable population! The fact this place is still here in 2025 absolutely discusts me! It's time to shut this scam down once and for all.The people who posted 5 star reviews are either payed or brainwashed, no sane person would ever ever have anything good to say about this facade of a "rehab". Anyone praising this sham should feel deeply ashamed, as you are helping a very evil religion make profit. The teach dienetics L Ron's bs philosophy... they can claim they aren't religious all they want, but that's like a school handing out Bibles to students claiming they aren't religious.. People have Died from putting their trust in Narconon. Read the massive list of lawsuits against them, just google Narconon lawsuits.. Before you leave a 5 star review please just reflect on who you are actually supporting. They literally have "attendees " do IQ tests such that they can see how vulnerable a person maybe and adjust their brainwashing accordingly.. NARCONON IS A CULT! You have been warned!IT'S time to shut it down!

We are glad to hear that you have found the right program fit for your recovery ZG and wish you the best of luck in your new life. The Narconon program was created by a former heroin addict named William Benitez who used work by L. Ron Hubbard during his time in an Arizona State Prison to help other inmates who were dealing with addiction and has since grown from there. Our program is non-religious and doing the program does not make a person a Scientologist. We have had people of all different types of faith participate and benefit from our program without changing their own personal beliefs. We do allow medications at our facility that are non-addictive and medically necessary such as blood pressure medications, insulin, inhalers etc. Since we are an abstinence based program we do not allow opioid medications or other addictive medications at our facility. We do allow our clients to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen if needed, we don t think they are bad for you but do try to help people steer away from the mindset that a pill is needed to fix everything. The safety of our clients is always our top priority and we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our clients. We have renovated our facility over the past few years and strive to continually raise the bar of our clients experience.

Does not allow a safe, medically assisted detox. Only allows vitally necessary medications (like insulin) - no psychiatric meds whatsoever. Based in Scientology. As someone who miraculously checked in and out in a short period of time, stay far away from here.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program have completed active addiction treatment and are receiving services designed to promote their sustained sobriety. Drug rehab aftercare typically encompasses a wide variety of medical, mental health, and social services meant to facilitate clients' reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically collaborate with their case manager and/or recovery team to identify and access the services they need, often including peer coaching, career counseling, and care referrals.
12-step icon12-Step
Addiction recovery based on a 12 step program model is rooted in peer support and spiritual development. Participants regularly attend 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, peer-led, and available throughout the day and night in most communities. Clients' recovery is achieved progressively as they work through the 12 steps, which teach them to understand and address the root causes of their addiction, become accountable for their choices, and relinquish control over that which cannot be changed.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Residents of a sober living home in Colorado are encouraged to continue to develop coping skills and habits they learned in treatment. They can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, until they feel they are ready to transition home. During their stay, they must adhere to house rules, which may include contributing to household chores, abiding by a curfew, and maintaining a job.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
For those that don't require round-the-clock care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term option that can be used as a step-down treatment or as an alternative to intensive hospitalization. PHP treatment requires up to 5 days a week of commitment where you'll receive 6 to 8 hours of support every day. While a partial hospitalization program typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Detox can be dangerous if not properly supervised, making 24-hour clinical care in Colorado an essential tool in the recovery process. The constant monitoring by medical professionals helps individuals through critical stages of recovery. Medical professionals and addiction specialists are available 24/7 to provide medications that ease withdrawal symptoms and to treat any other issues that arise.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

The main principle of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Colorado is that substance use disorders are based on faulty thinking and behavior patterns. The goal of this treatment is to help the individual learn better ways of coping with challenges, which will lead to changes in thinking and behavior.

Dialectical behavior therapy is skills based and present oriented. You'll be asked to keep a diary of emotions and related behaviors and practice the skills you've been learning between sessions. The focus of skills development is on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Therapists who employ motivational interview techniques seek to draw out the client's ideas about change and allow them to draw their own conclusions about the need for change. This method is often effective for clients who feel unsure about their ability to change or the need for change.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Based on the couple's needs, couples therapy may take different forms. Your therapist will probably take an integrated approach, using techniques from several methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic couple's therapy. The goal is to work through challenges and strengthen your relationship.

During family therapy sessions, family members in Colorado work with therapists to understand addiction as a disease that has affected the entire family. This approach fosters empathy and reduces blame on any one member. Promoting this collective effort helps to support the recovery process.

Life skills are traits you need to be successful during recovery, such as managing stress and interpersonal relationships. During rehab treatment in Colorado, you and your therapist will identify any skills that need to be developed and work on methods to strengthen them.

Creative arts therapy can take place in individual or group sessions. It may include reading poetry, journaling, making videos, or scrapbooking. These expressive activities allow participants to tap into emotions and process challenges in ways other than talking about their problems.

Nicotine replacement therapy treats your physical symptoms of withdrawal so you can better focus on breaking down any mental or emotional addiction you have to smoking. Options include nicotine patches, gum, and lozenges, as well as prescription inhalers and sprays.

I went to Narconon (this location specifically) about 12 years ago and it appears not much has changed. It is based off Scientology and is more like a Scientology recruitment center than it is a rehabilitation center. They truly use brainwashing techniques. They use the same type of practices as in Scientology. Let me put it this way - people don't start using drugs because they misunderstood what a word meant - but that is a belief here. Furthermore, nearly every single person I know that went there relapsed their first year out, and SEVERAL have died of overdoses. They do not provide psychiatric care, nor do they support it. I, myself relapsed the first week of getting out and have had to put in the work of getting sober myself. So the question is - do they want you to get clean? Yes. But they also push Scientology on you - hard. And it appears they only want you to get sober to help support their Scientology goals. You can look it up yourself on the Scientology website on the homepage. There's a a link RIGHT THERE. You may be desperate and in need - I get that - find somewhere else - do not send your loved ones here.

This place returned the personality I lost in my addiction. I felt physically brand new after the detoxification program, and I tackled the reasons behind my turn to substance abuse. There was also a deep sense of camaraderie with all the people in the program; everybody's got everybody's back and wants to see each other succeed. When I arrived, I hadn't known what it felt like to be comfortable in my own skin for years. I finally feel that again now, thanks to Narconon and its staff.

Truth. I learned a lesson the hard way Truth. I made mistakes. Truth. I was addicted to drugs, like I said, was. My addiction took control of my life. I lost time, friends, my car, my home. Mostly I lost myself. In my addiction I lied to others, I lied to myself. I thought I was invisible and the truth couldn't see me through the smoke screens I blew out my lungs that were filled with dope. I thought that I was untouchable to the facts on how my addiction could harm me. I became delusional to the danger I put myself in. Well friends and family it came time that I had to face the truth. Truth is I found out I have HIV. Truth is I tried to be the most seen and desired and gave and sold myself to numerous men. I wasn't secure in myself and didn't love myself. I had demons that I was too scared to fight and conquer. It took the love of my mother to finally tell me I needed help. She saw death on my face. So as I wondered and bounced around homeless, I decided to ask for help. Thanks to a few friends I made it to rehab and that's how I discovered I was infected This is not a sad story. I don't want people to feel sorry for me. I excepted that I chose this. I could of prevented this. I am putting this out here so others wake up and don't make the same mistakes that I have. I am now healthy and undetectable. I am now happy because I conquered my demons. I am grateful for everything I went through because it lead to my purpose that I had been searching for my entire life. God places you in places and puts you in situations that you don't understand at first. God had to break me to build me back up to prepare me for a purpose. Now I have my life and my light again and filled with joy. So please anyone who reads this. Take your life seriously, it's the only one you will get. Live it, love it, protect it. This is the place to change your life. Better yet it is a place that can help you help yourself to save your life.

I had checked into rehabs 10 other times before I came to Narconon. Narconon was the first and only program that stuck for me, and I still use what I learned there every day. Narconon helped repair my relationships with family, greatly helped my legal situation, and taught me that I am capable of living a sober and happy life. I have no idea where I would be right now if it weren't for the amazing staff and each and every step of the program.

In my opinion, the most intensive rehab, they are super serious about sobriety. This narconon is free, the state pays for it, if you have a drug problem. Take advantage of it, they give back rubs, time in a sauna, viatimins, steak every week, and the best breakfast in Colorado. I never thought I would go to rehab, I'm glad I went there. 11 years of extreme drug use, I never thought I'd recover... thanks to the detox and therapy programs, I'm living the life I want, and not turning back. This program does not preach Scientology, it does not recruit, but it does care about you making it through.
