I was there for 45 days, I received credit from the judge for every day I was there. Everybody that worked there was amazing and they were dedicated to helping people, it was truly a blessing to have them help me through this difficult period of my life. They even helped me with the financial situation and not once were they more concerned about anything else but my sobriety and what I needed help with . Thank you Right Turn and Staff .

It's a great place with people who actually care about what you're going through, and want to see you do better. Jorge the staff member really goes above and beyond for any and all who walk through the threshold, as does the rest of the staff. I may just volunteer because of how welcoming this place is. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Walking into RightTurn was a scary situation. The unknown and uncomfortable scenarios that played out in my head wasn’t even close to the experiences I encountered. In the beginning while sitting in the lobby feeling like the world was on my shoulders I hade to fill out all this tedious paperwork. I now know it’s there to protect my anonymity and confidentiality. I just didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I walked in I was met with a level of respect I haven’t been given in a long time. It made me feel at ease. I was introduced to everyone and I’m not good at remembering names but a smile and kind words are really memorable. Id like to tell you I love everyone I met at Right Turn but it’s just not the case. Their program, the way the messages are delivered, the way the group facilitators speak, the outside meetings that are brought in it made me feel like they said everything I couldn’t every emotion I felt was being said by another individual I instantly related. I was given an assessment, peer to peer counseling and private talks with my counselor it gave me the ability to speak on how i was feeling, what I felt and what was on my mind it opened me up to see areas in my life where I kept falling short. Music group, Art group and round robins allowed me to express my pain and excitement in a different way. Individual and community based groups gave me a perspective from other people’s pain and suffering. We all have different stories but the same plot. I heard what I needed to hear. All I wanted was some help. I’ve had enough. I wanted to stop drinking and drugging. I want a better life for myself. For my family. I just didn’t know how to stop. I wanted just one more day clean and sober. I wanted the pain to stop. I’ve come to realize “I am not alone”. The staff at Right Turn isn’t walking around in lab coats and text books. Telling me how I should feel or act. So phony. It’s the total opposite. I was allowed my process. Each and everyone of them have been thru what I’ve been thru. Some a little more. Lol. Some a lot less. We found common ground to relate and express ourselves. I was talked TO and not talked AT. Thank you RightTurn Impact.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).

Clients receiving support in a rehab aftercare program typically partner with their case manager and care team to identify and access the services that best align with their recovery needs and goals. Rehab aftercare services are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs to promote their long-term sobriety. Care modalities are highly customized and may include a range of medical, mental health, and social service resources, including peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction.

Most sober living homes in Maryland are located in peaceful, quiet neighborhoods. These private residences are designed to offer a low-stress but structured environment where residents can focus on their ongoing recovery efforts and receive support to maintain sobriety. Several individuals, all of whom are in recovery, share the halfway house. This type of communal living helps decrease relapse, increase employment rates, and helps individuals hone their recovery skills.

If you think a loved one needs help with substance abuse, but they are not seeking treatment, it may be time for a drug intervention in Maryland. Intervention services can help you with this effort. During the intervention, loved ones share how their addiction-related behavior has affected them and encourage the individual to get treatment. The intervention specialist helps facilitate the conversation and explain how treatment can help.

Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term intensive rehab option designed to provide treatment during the day and you're able to return home at night. PHP treatment offers structured programming, including individual and group therapy, typically meeting 3-5 days a week for 6-8 hours per day. PHP duration averages around 90 days, with some programs offering amenities like transportation and meals.

Quitting drugs and alcohol on your own can cause uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects caused by the withdrawal process. In medically assisted detox, a team of licensed medical professionals will monitor your health, provide medication for potential withdrawal symptoms, and work to keep you safe and comfortable. Most people transition to an inpatient program or a maintenance program that uses medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques are often part of group therapy sessions. These are evidence based techniques that address thinking and behavioral patterns that trigger addictive behavior. Learning how to address these thought patterns can help create lasting change.

Individualized one on one therapy allows the therapist to focus on your specific challenges and strengths. Using a personalized approach enables the therapist to help you develop effective coping mechanisms and build a more stable and fulfilling substance free life.

Families in Maryland address the impact of addiction during family therapy. Your therapist fosters open communication between family members to help resolve conflicts and create a supportive environment. By improving relationships, you aid the recovery of the individual struggling with addiction.

Right Turn was an awesome experience, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone in need of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. First and foremost, the staff is second to none. The entire staff is extremely caring, genuine, and helpful. The techs are literally walking proof that the program works because they are former clients of the program themselves who turned their lives around for the better. I did a 28-day program there and the program itself was excellent. It's setup for you to become responsible, successful, and educated in recovery. You will be held accountable for your behavior and for doing assigned chores throughout the week as this becomes part of you learning to better yourself through the process and becoming a productive member of the rehab community. On to the community itself, which included my peers who were also in my rehab program with me. They were awesome, I met so many great people and good friends there. Our community truly loved and cared for one another and had one another's backs when push came to shove. There will be ups and downs, because you will be living with everyone for however long you there, but at the end of the day, everyone absolutely cares for each other and wants each other to succeed. Right Turn also hosts Alumni meetings on Sunday nights where you have former rehab graduates who stop in to speak with and greet everyone, once again, proving this program works!

Some advice for those with multiple DUIs: taking nothing away from the Weekend Coordinators who I've heard are absolute rock stars at their jobs, you're more likely to have a positive outcome in both court and a life of recovery if you do their inpatient program for a minimum of 28 days. From a court standpoint, judges like that you're taking your recovery seriously. From a recovery standpoint, multiple DUIs are indicative of a problem, and the staff at Right Turn are masters at addressing it. While I'm still in early recovery and sobriety can be difficult at times, Right Turn gave me the tools I need to live a productive life. They also offer an Intensive Outpatient Program as a stepdown level of care and affordable sober living arrangements after rehab so that you can properly transition back into a life routine with early relapse prevention measures in place. With all that said, while I had a pleasant experience under the care of Right Turn, keep in mind that your attitude regarding recovery will go a long way in determining treatment efficacy. Rehab is less likely to have a lasting impact if you're not a willing participant. Wishing everyone who reads this luck in their recovery journey!

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at this rehabilitation facility. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with respect, compassion, and genuine care. They took the time to understand my history, my triggers, and my goals, and created a treatment plan that truly felt tailored to me. The counselors are knowledgeable, patient, and honest. They don’t just focus on stopping substance use; they help you understand the underlying issues and give you practical tools to handle stress, cravings, and everyday life. Group sessions were challenging at times, but I always felt safe to share and never judged. Hearing other people’s stories and being heard myself was a huge part of my healing. What stands out most is that this place truly cares about long-term recovery, not just getting you through the door and out again. They provided resources and guidance for aftercare, support groups, and relapse prevention, so I didn’t feel alone when I left. This program helped me rebuild my life and regain a sense of hope and purpose. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about getting help and is ready to do the work.
