I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the level of care that Axiom Behavioral Health in Naples provides, and it’s truly impressive. The staff is compassionate, professional, and genuinely committed to helping people begin their recovery journey. I’ve especially seen how dedicated the Clinical Liaison is, working tirelessly to ensure patients receive the care they need while also collaborating with community partners to create successful discharge plans and ongoing support. It’s clear that everyone at Axiom is focused on giving people the best possible chance at long-term recovery. I highly recommend Axiom to anyone seeking quality behavioral health and detox services.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

The Willough at Naples works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I Checked myself in there for a readjustment for my medication what I was originally on was OK except that it needed something a little more so they took me off of everything and they gave me lorazepam and Klonopin. I slept for four days. I didn’t eat didn’t get up to get my meds. They came to give it to me. I slept for four entire days. I felt like drugged out couldn’t walk straight along. Finally, when I met the doctor very arrogant, and he said that the psychiatrist that prescribed me, my meds should have her license taken away. He did nothing but bad mouth her however I’ve never heard a doctor bad mouth another doctor. when they gave out the meds, I noticed that the nurse would give you a little cup with the meds and one hand and give you a cup of water in the other. I took my meds with the little cup. Throw that out took a sip of the water and went to throw the cup out and the nurse said no no no don’t do that and she took it back from my hand, emptied it in the sink and put it on top of the other cups basically reusing them. No wonder when I got home I got so sick. Everybody in that place was coughing and sneezing everybody was wearing masks. It was just the worst experience I’ve ever had. There was nothing to do when I called. The lady said yeah we have a swimming pool. We have ping-pong tables. We have all kinds of activities etc. we could not use any of the activities we couldn’t use the pool they claimed there was something wrong with it. We couldn’t even play ping-pong because they rushed us into our unit and the ping-pong table was indoors. It was as if it was a concentration camp. It was horrible. while I was in there, I was supposed to get out that next day, then I told him that I had to go up north to take care of my mother and he said well with the medication‘s you’re on he’d have to check with my insurance company to make sure that I can fly without having a seizure I’ve never taken these medication’s until I got there but he had to look at my insurance and he said I had Humana Medicare Medicaid of course he’s gonna keep me there two more days so I miss my flight to go see my mother. But the funny thing is, they still gave me that same medication it doesn’t make sense to me other than looking for money trying to get the Insurance’s money they don’t give two shits about the patients. Nobody spoke English. It was a very few that were nice. Some text you ask them a question and they just stare at you because they don’t know what you’re trying to say. Didn’t even try to get some help from somebody else to understand what I’m saying one girl just sat there and stared at me. I asked her again and she just sat there and stared at me. The other young gentleman knew what I was asking for and he went and got it and came back. All she did was just stare at me with the dirty look. I don’t understand that’s your job. Why would you deal with patience with that attitude? It’s your job that’s what you do you’re supposed to take care of patients not look at them like their idiots or morons. People are in there for help not to be treated like that. These techs are no better than the patients.

This place is a joke. I was baker acted here and told I was on a 72 hour hold. Now let me tell you what they do to every person who walks in those doors. They “baker act” you for the first 72 hours, EVEN IF YOU ARE VOLUNTARY. then they file a court order to keep you there (even if you don’t medically have to be). Then they hold you there up until your “court date”. Which in my case- morning of and THEN they release you and do not send you to speak to a judge. It’s all a ploy to keep you there as long as possible to make as much money as possible. Every single person who was there along with me this happened to. And then they do not run your insurance and send you a ridiculous bill. They practically ration the food out- doesn’t matter if you are hungry “there’s nothing left”. They inject people with sleeping drugs when they don’t want to deal with them. Elderly man with DEMENTIA making a ruckuss? Oh let’s put him to sleep why don’t we? Boy with autism annoying us? Ooooo same thing. I was degraded and insulted by staff. They irritate you and then make sure to show you who’s in charge. This place needs to get shut down. I walked out of here flipping off the so called psychiatrist. Nasty nasty man. This place needs to close its doors because it’s not helping ANYONE and any reviews saying so are fake. Absolutely ridiculous.

Tomorrow is day 7 of trying to reach anyone by phone at this facility. I made a trip down and found the condition of the place deplorable. The noise level and lack of professional assistance was shocking. The receptionist I had finally got on the phone 4 days after patient was admitted was helpful. She was also the one that treated me at front desk and was very kind and tried helping me as much as possible. The patient isn’t there for mental health issues and is in bad condition because of previous falls. I’m most sure this facility isn’t taking care of his needs. If you have any other choice, please go first, try calling and see if you find all of my words true.

Response from the owner
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We understand how frustrating it can be to have difficulty reaching a member of our team, particularly when you are seeking information or assistance.

We also ask our patients, families, and visitors to please excuse our appearance while we renovate portions of our lobby and main entrance. These improvements are part of our ongoing effort to create a more comfortable, warm, and welcoming environment for our patients and those who visit our hospital. We appreciate everyone’s patience while this work is completed.

Because we take patient privacy very seriously, we cannot confirm or discuss any individual’s care, condition, treatment, or circumstances in a public forum. However, concerns regarding communication, our facility, and the experience of those we serve are important to us, and we welcome the opportunity to address them directly.

Please contact our leadership team at (239) 775-4500, extension 658, so we can better understand your concerns and address them appropriately.
