About Awakenings of Florida
What I liked about them was that they were big on peer to peer support. Having someone to relate to, while in recovery, can be beneficial as they understand what you are going through. Their intensive outpatient program provided regular counseling and treatment sessions. They did believe in the 12 step principles and attended local 12 step meetings. Once the women completed the program, most would then transfer to their sober living homes.
The sober living program was about 8 months in length. The first 2 months were known for the orientation and adjustment period. You would be assigned a big sister to guide you through the early stages in the program.
Since you are required to attend local 12 step meetings, the first two weeks would be driven to those meetings daily. The following two months allowed you more flexibility. You would have a later curfew and your meetings were geared towards relapse prevention. I do like that they require you to seek employment at this stage.
Once you had been at the sober living house for four months, you would have had more independence. They would still emphasize full time employment and 12 step meetings. Around the eight month mark you would graduate and you would be able to live in the graduate house.
The graduate houses were fully furnished and provided bedrooms and bathrooms for up to four residences. I do like that each residence had their own pool. At this point you became responsible for yourself and with no supervision of others.

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
