IBH helped me when I was at the lowest point in my life. They figured out what was wrong and created a specialized care plan and team for me. They went above and beyond time and time again. I would not be where I am today without their help. For anyone looking to address and properly manage their mental health, I highly recommend going to IBH.

The staff was required to write fake reviews so that mine is moved to the bottom .Look at the date of the last reviews . Very bad place for employees mental health and the ethical care of vulnerable children.Good place for felons to take mandatory court appointments to address being an abuser .This facility demonstrates serious concerns regarding the safety and well-being of children, particularly in its practice of housing minors alongside individuals convicted of violent felonies.Observations have been made on multiple occasions during Saturday drive-throughs, where vehicles have nearly collided with children in the vicinity. This raises significant safety issues that warrant immediate investigation by the Oklahoma Department of Health Care Administration (OHCA) and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA).The treatment plans currently in use appear outdated and do not align with the children's actual skill levels. There seems to be a troubling tendency to assign low-level objectives to prolong treatment durations, potentially compromising the quality of care provided. Moreover, the staff includes individuals who lack the necessary credentials and do not exhibit a sufficient understanding of autism, which undermines the ethical treatment of clients. The clinical director, despite presenting a cordial demeanor, has exhibited negligence that is concerning, especially regarding unreported instances of abuse and trauma as well as failed Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Especially with minority groups that cannot advocate for themselves sufficiently. There are also unsettling dynamics between the clinical director and certain employees that suggest a lack of professional boundaries. It is apparent that her role serves primarily as a buffer for the clinic's owner, rather than being driven by a genuine commitment to the welfare of children with autism. The owner herself displays troubling behavior, which may indicate past struggles with substance abuse, now seemingly manifesting in jitteriness and erratic speech. While she articulates a desire to serve the community, her actions often contradict this narrative, leading to confusion and mistrust. The facility experiences high employee turnover, likely as a means to obscure unethical practices. Reports of children falling ill upon returning due to mold and asbestos exposure raise alarm about the physical environment of the clinic. It is crucial for advocates to investigate the experiences of children at this facility, as many appear to be suffering due to the negligence and unethical practices in place. This environment not only jeopardizes their health but also takes advantage of families already facing significant stress. In summary, this facility, despite its outward appearance of care, is fraught with issues of selfishness and a lack of accountability. It is imperative that those responsible for the welfare of these children are held accountable for their actions, both ethically and legally.

Jeanette, thank you for your feedback. We take all reviews seriously. However, it appears you have the wrong company. We have no record of you ever being at our facility and none of your comments are applicable to us. IBH has successfully served hundreds of families over the last 15 years. If you would like to contact us we may be able to help you direct your comments to the correct place.
Dominate the Challenges of Autism by El Fehdi

At the age of 2.5 years, my son Adam was showing signs of autism, such as a lack of eye contact, inability to speak (not even a word), and difficulty interacting with us. As new parents, this was incredibly challenging and confusing, leaving us unsure of what to do. My wife heard about IBH from a friend who praised the amazing work they do with autistic kids. We decided to contact IBH, and the rest is history. Thanks to the genuine care, competency, and quality services provided by the IBH organization, Adam has learned how to make eye contact, speak, and ask for what he needs. IBH has been instrumental in our child's journey towards independence. I can't imagine how different his story might have been if we had chosen the wrong center. We recently moved from Oklahoma City to Raleigh, North Carolina. We have been missing IBH's special touch that played a crucial role in our son's progress. No therapy center here in North Carolina has been able to match the level of care and service we received from IBH in Oklahoma City. If you are in the Oklahoma City area, consider yourself very fortunate. Do your little angel a huge service and enroll them at IBH. I feel it's my moral duty to share our experience and help other families who might be in the same position we were before discovering this amazing center.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a structured way of helping those with major mental illnesses and/or substance abuse by bringing services directly to the patient in home. Instead of hospitalization or an outpatient program, staff members like social workers, psychiatrists, and counselors come directly to the patient’s house for treatment. ACT is used primarily for those with severe and persistent mental illness like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, some of whom also contend with substance abuse. ACT can be short- or long-term (months to years), and provides the same multidisciplinary, 24/7 staffing of a psychiatric unit, but in the comfort of the patient's own home and/or community.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

IBH was a godsend and continues to be. My teenager was dx ADD, ODD and OCD. An IBH counselor came to our home weekly during the most difficult time in my life. When my son became suicidal, it was the rep that helped me get him into acute care, when every facility wouldn’t take my calls. That week stay changed everything for us. My son is now a college student. I don’t know how we would have survived without IBH. 5 years later, the rep stays in touch with my family and spent 3 hours on a call (unpaid) just to check in with my youngest. After her conversation she let me know she agrees with the steps I’m taking to get him help. Our life has not been easy or perfect. It’s been really hard balancing a career, single parenthood and single parent kids - you know unruly and defiant. But it’s this one person that gives me the comfort of knowing, when I’m drowning, she’ll be there. Thanks IBH for always being there… I miss our weekly sessions and look forward to the trip to Italy when we get through this last one. For as you always smiled and said… this too shall pass.

Authentic and diverse staff dedicated to providing individualized services to each individual and family served. Crisis management is plus as families learn to acknowledge and accept family member’s unique and often complex needs. Easy accessibility to initiate a service request that is immediately followed by a thorough evaluation of the individual referred. Family members participate in a well developed treatment plan that is the map to the services needed. Each individual is assigned a dedicated case manager who leads the way to increasingly successful outcomes. If you have a family in need or you have concerns personally, don’t hesitate to call or fill out the referral form on the IBH website. Highly recommend this CARF accredited organization that is leading the way in treating these specific population as outlined at the IBH website. It is an immediate treatment option open to you and your family. when so urgently needed

My son is on the spectrum and goes to school with a child who has an in-class therapist from here. The therapist is very good and I was hoping that someone from IBH would be able to help my son. So began almost three months of canceled appointments (canceled by them), numerous voicemails left by me, and multiple promises to get him scheduled for an assessment for in-class help. Finally I was told by the office manager that they no longer provide in class services and I was lied to and over promised by multiple employees about their ability to provide care for my son. If you value your time, do not bother with this horrible organization. If they treat their employees the way they treated me, no wonder they are short staffed.

Thank you for your honest feedback. If anyone around the city needs to complete the BIP class, this is the place to go. They have bent over backwards for me to make sure I had everything I needed for court and stuff. The staff are helpful, empathetic, and do a really great job. My thanks and warmest regards. 👏
