I had difficulty initially because I assumed I would be prescribed medication right away. I had to wait 3 months for a provider visit, so, in the meantime, I explained to my PCP and was able to get a few safe medications while waiting. I got into a therapist who has helped me beyond measure and is extremely good at her job. All of the staff I have encountered have been polite, nonjudgmental, professional, and helpful to my mental health journey. I have not had one single bad experience in the past year of going there 2-3 times a month (excluding the obvious difficult but necessary stuff) They have resources to help you in so many capacities and I encourage those who can be patient to give them the opportunity to be helpful.

This program played a critical role in supporting my sobriety. I began my recovery journey in the inpatient program at Valley Hope, and after completing that phase, I transitioned directly into their outpatient services in Oklahoma City. The outpatient program offers two formats—online and in-person—and I chose the in-person option because of the structure and connection it provides.
Throughout my participation, I developed meaningful relationships with fellow patients and benefited greatly from individualized counseling sessions. These one-on-one meetings were especially impactful, offering personalized guidance, accountability, and a safe space to process challenges. The group environment also fosters peer support, encourages personal responsibility, and helps individuals stay focused on their recovery goals.
I genuinely believe that the outpatient program was essential to maintaining my sobriety. The support, education, and community it provides make a significant difference, and I cannot overstate how valuable the experience has been. For anyone struggling with substance use, I strongly recommend considering this program as a resource for long-term recovery.

I’ve been in places before where it felt like I was just going through the motions, but this hasn’t been that. This house gave me a reset—somewhere I could slow down, get honest, and actually start doing the work instead of just talking about it.
There’s a level of accountability here that keeps you on track, but it’s not forced—it comes from being around guys who are serious about staying sober. That kind of environment makes a difference. You start to carry yourself differently, think differently.
For me, this place has been about rebuilding—habits, mindset, and trust in myself. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s been worth it. If you’re ready to take your recovery seriously, this is a solid place to do it.
Matthew McCarter

I’ve been here long enough to know the difference between a place that just gives you a bed and one that actually helps you change your life. This house is the real deal. There’s structure, accountability, and people here who genuinely care—but you still have to show up and do your part. That’s what I needed.
It hasn’t always been easy, but that’s kind of the point. I’ve learned a lot about myself here—how I think, how I react, and what I need to stay sober. The guys here get it. Nobody’s pretending, and nobody’s above anyone else. We’re all just trying to get better, one day at a time.
If you’re serious about your recovery and want a place that’s going to challenge you and support you at the same time, this is it. It’s been a big part of helping me get back on my feet.

My husband and I began attending (SOTS) “Southern Oklahoma Treatment.” However, they were shut down after about four years of treatment. Subsequently, we switched to RightWay Medical, and they have been incredibly helpful.
There have been a few instances where they made mistakes. For instance, Carla, one of our former nurses, miscalculated my dose. At that time, I was taking 140 mg, but she gave me only about 100 mg. I usually can tell by the amount in the bottle and how long I’ve been on that dosage. I would check my bottles after receiving them, and they would be fuller than when Carla dosed me. So, I didn’t think to check my take-home doses at the time because they usually paid close attention. However, for some reason, she wasn’t paying attention that day. When I got home, I noticed that my bottle was almost empty. It wasn’t full like it should have been. When I contacted them, they informed me that it was already too late because I had already left the facility. I realized that I should have checked my dose before leaving. That was the first time my medication was messed up, and it’s only happened once since then.
The only other issue I’ve had with them was a failed urine test. I had to undergo a drug screen, and it indicated that I had narcotics in my system when I knew I didn’t. I asked them to resend the test and investigate further because I was innocent and knew I hadn’t taken anything besides my Methadone. However, I was still in trouble and had to visit them daily for about three or three and a half weeks.

Absolutely phenomenal staff and positive environment for anyone looking to detox and get clean. The staff are all very kind and supportive, the patient living area is always clean, they provide tons of free snacks available at all hours if you're hungry, and the meals served three times daily are very high quality and delicious. They also make enough for everyone to have at least two portions/seconds for every meal, so you'll never be hungry.
I'm 38, and have been through TRC four times in my life since I was 19. Every time has been a positive and healing experience. In just one week their care helped return my strength of body and spirit. They will also help you find rehabilitation centers to go to after your detox if you wish, or sober living if you wish to go straight into, say, am Oxford House or other sober living environment.
I'd give them seven stars if I could. Thank you, TRC! You helped save my life!

(TJ) This was THE greatest decision i have ever made every negative comment you have seen on trc is absolutely ridiculous and most likely people that were entitled and not getting their way i can’t complain about anything from EVERY single worker to the FOOD was the greatest service ive ever had if you do what your supposed to do and keep a great head on your shoulders you will get through your time quick i just wanna thank shannon, felicia, erin, david, tammy, shay, codi cane and alot of other workers for the fact that they really cared about the patients and the job i also want to thank vaughn for the greatest therapy group sessions ive ever been in you guys really made it easy on me and i cant thank you guys enough. i dont really like how people talk about the food because honestly i was eating greater than i ever been on the outside i know love is a strong word but i love you guys sooo much i literally cried while leaving lol. last but not least dont let the negative comments scare you away like it did me i was supposed to go the week before i did but i allowed the comments to push me away and that was the worst mistake ever i promise if you just go and treat people how you want to be treated you will be absolutely fine they don’t talk “crap” on people that actually wanna TRY they say something about the people that want to act a fool which is absolutely understandable the medication helps majorly you will gain an appetite and PLEASE go to the groups i know people think its not worth it but i promise you it is it will help your days go by so much faster im heavy on the lord but vaughn respects the people who aren’t and doesn’t really talk about it in the groups but if you do then you can have 1 on 1 conversations about it thank you sooo much TRC and WHEN i beat this year of sobriety i will definitely be looking to work with you guys sincerely TJ❤️

At the age of 2.5 years, my son Adam was showing signs of autism, such as a lack of eye contact, inability to speak (not even a word), and difficulty interacting with us. As new parents, this was incredibly challenging and confusing, leaving us unsure of what to do. My wife heard about IBH from a friend who praised the amazing work they do with autistic kids. We decided to contact IBH, and the rest is history. Thanks to the genuine care, competency, and quality services provided by the IBH organization, Adam has learned how to make eye contact, speak, and ask for what he needs. IBH has been instrumental in our child's journey towards independence. I can't imagine how different his story might have been if we had chosen the wrong center. We recently moved from Oklahoma City to Raleigh, North Carolina. We have been missing IBH's special touch that played a crucial role in our son's progress. No therapy center here in North Carolina has been able to match the level of care and service we received from IBH in Oklahoma City. If you are in the Oklahoma City area, consider yourself very fortunate. Do your little angel a huge service and enroll them at IBH. I feel it's my moral duty to share our experience and help other families who might be in the same position we were before discovering this amazing center.

IBH was a godsend and continues to be. My teenager was dx ADD, ODD and OCD. An IBH counselor came to our home weekly during the most difficult time in my life. When my son became suicidal, it was the rep that helped me get him into acute care, when every facility wouldn’t take my calls. That week stay changed everything for us. My son is now a college student. I don’t know how we would have survived without IBH.
5 years later, the rep stays in touch with my family and spent 3 hours on a call (unpaid) just to check in with my youngest. After her conversation she let me know she agrees with the steps I’m taking to get him help.
Our life has not been easy or perfect. It’s been really hard balancing a career, single parenthood and single parent kids - you know unruly and defiant. But it’s this one person that gives me the comfort of knowing, when I’m drowning, she’ll be there.
Thanks IBH for always being there… I miss our weekly sessions and look forward to the trip to Italy when we get through this last one. For as you always smiled and said… this too shall pass.
