I had difficulty initially because I assumed I would be prescribed medication right away. I had to wait 3 months for a provider visit, so, in the meantime, I explained to my PCP and was able to get a few safe medications while waiting. I got into a therapist who has helped me beyond measure and is extremely good at her job. All of the staff I have encountered have been polite, nonjudgmental, professional, and helpful to my mental health journey. I have not had one single bad experience in the past year of going there 2-3 times a month (excluding the obvious difficult but necessary stuff) They have resources to help you in so many capacities and I encourage those who can be patient to give them the opportunity to be helpful.

This program played a critical role in supporting my sobriety. I began my recovery journey in the inpatient program at Valley Hope, and after completing that phase, I transitioned directly into their outpatient services in Oklahoma City. The outpatient program offers two formats—online and in-person—and I chose the in-person option because of the structure and connection it provides. Throughout my participation, I developed meaningful relationships with fellow patients and benefited greatly from individualized counseling sessions. These one-on-one meetings were especially impactful, offering personalized guidance, accountability, and a safe space to process challenges. The group environment also fosters peer support, encourages personal responsibility, and helps individuals stay focused on their recovery goals. I genuinely believe that the outpatient program was essential to maintaining my sobriety. The support, education, and community it provides make a significant difference, and I cannot overstate how valuable the experience has been. For anyone struggling with substance use, I strongly recommend considering this program as a resource for long-term recovery.

Highly recommend New Vision Counseling! Joshua Rhoades was awesome. He listened and provided solid feedback. Though we went for couples therapy, he also did individual sessions which were instrumental to improving our relationship as it unearthed the root of significant issues. We especially appreciated having light homework as it kept us engaged in the days between sessions and allowed us to have physical documents to show the commitments we made.

Im not taking down my previous review because I have gotten so much good from my treatment there..ive had several major bumps to get over in the 12 yrs ive been going there and im just hoping thats all this is..a bump in the road and things hopefully will get better! I am however going to add this from my experience because thats what these reviews are for..not to lie! New I have noticed a definite change in things lately. Since the other organization merged or bought in or whatever they did..there has been staff that had been there a long time that are no longer there as well as procedural changes. The main difference ive seen is nobody answers the phone and they dont return calls either. Im on O2 continuously and dont drive anymore. Its not like i can run over there to find out why my calls arent being returned. Im a fairly patient person but after 3 or 4 days id think someone would return my call. Im starting to wonder if my provider is even there since 30 days ago! Its happened to me twice before and nobody told me til i went there. I hope they get it together and become more patient friendly..they need to realize they are dealing with mental health patients. They may have long standing physical health experience but thats not what they are dealing with now and the people that worked there were good at what they did so let them do their job.! Im sad to see that people have such negative things to say about a place and people so dedicated to helping the mentally ill. I've been a patient there since the latter part of 2014 and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have been there for me when nobody else was...they have helped me thru issues I'd been dealing with for yrs....helped me do what I couldn't do for myself. I'm not going to say that in the 7 yrs I've been there that it's all been perfect. I've butted heads with a few and been hurt by a few...some were my fault a few were theirs.... What I can say is anytime a situation has come up they have handled it as quickly as possible...they listened and they have acted. I've got a serious physical thing going on as well but they have not ever given up on finding the right meds that my physical and mental self could take....they use the latest meds and they help you find a way to get them if you can't. Anyone that feels bad about this place and the people there hasn't given them a chance...they can only help as much as you let them...talking about the problems gets you what you need. They will find the right team. Give them a chance... They don't make the money they could make elsewhere I'm sure,...and they are all good to great at what they do....so that tells me they are there because they care...it's a choice. Thank you Northcare and Northcare Pharmacy for all you have done for me .... Stephanie K

Nestled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Into Action Sober Living offers those who take the next steps in their recovery process more than just a place to stay. They provide a life-changing environment where recovery has a chance to flourish, and the personal transformation to a sober lifestyle outside of an intensive inpatient program is made possible.
I’ve been here long enough to know the difference between a place that just gives you a bed and one that actually helps you change your life. This house is the real deal. There’s structure, accountability, and people here who genuinely care—but you still have to show up and do your part. That’s what I needed. It hasn’t always been easy, but that’s kind of the point. I’ve learned a lot about myself here—how I think, how I react, and what I need to stay sober. The guys here get it. Nobody’s pretending, and nobody’s above anyone else. We’re all just trying to get better, one day at a time. If you’re serious about your recovery and want a place that’s going to challenge you and support you at the same time, this is it. It’s been a big part of helping me get back on my feet.

My husband and I began attending (SOTS) “Southern Oklahoma Treatment.” However, they were shut down after about four years of treatment. Subsequently, we switched to RightWay Medical, and they have been incredibly helpful. There have been a few instances where they made mistakes. For instance, Carla, one of our former nurses, miscalculated my dose. At that time, I was taking 140 mg, but she gave me only about 100 mg. I usually can tell by the amount in the bottle and how long I’ve been on that dosage. I would check my bottles after receiving them, and they would be fuller than when Carla dosed me. So, I didn’t think to check my take-home doses at the time because they usually paid close attention. However, for some reason, she wasn’t paying attention that day. When I got home, I noticed that my bottle was almost empty. It wasn’t full like it should have been. When I contacted them, they informed me that it was already too late because I had already left the facility. I realized that I should have checked my dose before leaving. That was the first time my medication was messed up, and it’s only happened once since then. The only other issue I’ve had with them was a failed urine test. I had to undergo a drug screen, and it indicated that I had narcotics in my system when I knew I didn’t. I asked them to resend the test and investigate further because I was innocent and knew I hadn’t taken anything besides my Methadone. However, I was still in trouble and had to visit them daily for about three or three and a half weeks.

Justin’s Lighthouse changed my life…. For the best!! Tina and Myles picked me up from East Baton Rouge Parish Prison March of 2019. I was addicted to heroin. No one had faith in me. Not even my family. But, they did! They educated me on the disease. But more importantly, they loved me until I loved myself. Today, I have a job that I used to think I didn’t deserve. People trust me. I now have family that I talk to frequently. This all became possible because I listened to what they had to say. This journey has not been easy but well worth it!

Absolutely phenomenal staff and positive environment for anyone looking to detox and get clean. The staff are all very kind and supportive, the patient living area is always clean, they provide tons of free snacks available at all hours if you're hungry, and the meals served three times daily are very high quality and delicious. They also make enough for everyone to have at least two portions/seconds for every meal, so you'll never be hungry. I'm 38, and have been through TRC four times in my life since I was 19. Every time has been a positive and healing experience. In just one week their care helped return my strength of body and spirit. They will also help you find rehabilitation centers to go to after your detox if you wish, or sober living if you wish to go straight into, say, am Oxford House or other sober living environment. I'd give them seven stars if I could. Thank you, TRC! You helped save my life!

(TJ) This was THE greatest decision i have ever made every negative comment you have seen on trc is absolutely ridiculous and most likely people that were entitled and not getting their way i can’t complain about anything from EVERY single worker to the FOOD was the greatest service ive ever had if you do what your supposed to do and keep a great head on your shoulders you will get through your time quick i just wanna thank shannon, felicia, erin, david, tammy, shay, codi cane and alot of other workers for the fact that they really cared about the patients and the job i also want to thank vaughn for the greatest therapy group sessions ive ever been in you guys really made it easy on me and i cant thank you guys enough. i dont really like how people talk about the food because honestly i was eating greater than i ever been on the outside i know love is a strong word but i love you guys sooo much i literally cried while leaving lol. last but not least dont let the negative comments scare you away like it did me i was supposed to go the week before i did but i allowed the comments to push me away and that was the worst mistake ever i promise if you just go and treat people how you want to be treated you will be absolutely fine they don’t talk “crap” on people that actually wanna TRY they say something about the people that want to act a fool which is absolutely understandable the medication helps majorly you will gain an appetite and PLEASE go to the groups i know people think its not worth it but i promise you it is it will help your days go by so much faster im heavy on the lord but vaughn respects the people who aren’t and doesn’t really talk about it in the groups but if you do then you can have 1 on 1 conversations about it thank you sooo much TRC and WHEN i beat this year of sobriety i will definitely be looking to work with you guys sincerely TJ❤️

At the age of 2.5 years, my son Adam was showing signs of autism, such as a lack of eye contact, inability to speak (not even a word), and difficulty interacting with us. As new parents, this was incredibly challenging and confusing, leaving us unsure of what to do. My wife heard about IBH from a friend who praised the amazing work they do with autistic kids. We decided to contact IBH, and the rest is history. Thanks to the genuine care, competency, and quality services provided by the IBH organization, Adam has learned how to make eye contact, speak, and ask for what he needs. IBH has been instrumental in our child's journey towards independence. I can't imagine how different his story might have been if we had chosen the wrong center. We recently moved from Oklahoma City to Raleigh, North Carolina. We have been missing IBH's special touch that played a crucial role in our son's progress. No therapy center here in North Carolina has been able to match the level of care and service we received from IBH in Oklahoma City. If you are in the Oklahoma City area, consider yourself very fortunate. Do your little angel a huge service and enroll them at IBH. I feel it's my moral duty to share our experience and help other families who might be in the same position we were before discovering this amazing center.

IBH was a godsend and continues to be. My teenager was dx ADD, ODD and OCD. An IBH counselor came to our home weekly during the most difficult time in my life. When my son became suicidal, it was the rep that helped me get him into acute care, when every facility wouldn’t take my calls. That week stay changed everything for us. My son is now a college student. I don’t know how we would have survived without IBH. 5 years later, the rep stays in touch with my family and spent 3 hours on a call (unpaid) just to check in with my youngest. After her conversation she let me know she agrees with the steps I’m taking to get him help. Our life has not been easy or perfect. It’s been really hard balancing a career, single parenthood and single parent kids - you know unruly and defiant. But it’s this one person that gives me the comfort of knowing, when I’m drowning, she’ll be there. Thanks IBH for always being there… I miss our weekly sessions and look forward to the trip to Italy when we get through this last one. For as you always smiled and said… this too shall pass.
