Dirty, unprofessional, terrible medical team. Took my baby here, will never go back EVER. Dr Johnson, while polite enough didn t ask any questions and said because my child reached for his flashlight he was fine and to just push fluids. Also, his hands shake so bad I wouldn t trust him to even hold my child. Once we were getting our papers to leave, I was told to take my child to the hospital we normally do because this doctor was set in his ways and other doctors in there say it all the time . Also my child s temp was NEVER taken. So on top of it being nasty and dirty, and lack of actual medical advice is questionable. Oh and I got advice on what medicines are good to quit smoking for me 1 year old in his discharge papers! Good news, it must be working because he hasn t smoked at all lmaooo but for real, there was no vitals and nothing that happened in our visit anywhere in there. So save your time, and your child s health just go to Arnold Palmer. Leaving there now with a happy baby and all the medicine and REAL info we needed!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.

Treatments

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Mental health and substance abuse treatment in Florida is offered by dual-diagnosis facilities that can provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. By integrating mental health, medical care, and therapeutic care, medical experts can effectively treat both co-occurring mental health conditions, stabilizing your mental health, and helping you learn vital skills to achieve long-term recovery.

If it weren't for the absolutely amazing nurses in the France Buildings 6th floor, I would give this place 1 star. The nurses are the saving grace. Don't have absolute prime insurance? Expect them to treat you like a turn and burn. 8 hours after having a several hour long surgery to somewhat rebuild my hip and lower extremities after a motorcycle accident that almost killed me, the Trauma Doctors were attempting to have me discharged. They fought me the whole time, and I was FORTUNATE to get 6 days out of them before I was essentially physically discharged. I was discharged under the guise of "Discharge W/ Home Health Care". I was home (by myself) for 8 days before finally calling the Home Health company Halifax assigned to me. The company never heard of me. Halifax never gave them my information. Why? According to Case Management, "Your insurance probably wouldn't cover it anyway. Just call your PCP and let them figure it out"... sounds like malpractice if I've ever heard it. Just a sleazy lie in order to make room for another person to get squeezed in and out. Maybe I was spoiled being raised in Boston with good healthcare, but this place is an absolute joke. Bed turnovers are all they're worried about - guess that's why the trauma surgeon has his Lamborghini parked right at the entrance... turn and burn, baby. Turn and burn. Top tier nurses. Doctors are trash. Case management is even worse. I 100% SHOULDN'T be home yet... but I'd rather chance healing myself with no help at home than ever stepping foot in there again. If I were facing a life or death medical issue right this second - I'd take my chances booking a flight to Boston opposed to taking the 30 minute ride to this place.

I left before they even ran test on me. I’ve never had a doctor act like he didn’t give two shits while I was explaining my symptoms and my concerns. I did not get his name, but he told me that my issues could just be taken care of with my primary doctor as I sat there on the bed going in and out of consciousness. He literally looked at me as if I was only there for drugs and gave me zero hospitality. He quickly came to the conclusion that what I was feeling was most likely just anemia from my period. Even after I explained that this has been happened before and that my period was 2-3 weeks ago. The only thing I wish I’ve gotten out of this experience was the names of the people who did not help me so you all would know as well.

Terrible service, came for may have been miscarriage around 4:50 and it’s going on 9. No rooms available and no updates on anything. At this point my baby could be gone and I won’t know, because I’m sitting for over 4 hours.

Doctors here think taking pills solves everything. They act like a bunch of drug dealers.

My twin brother got brought into the ER for falling off a bike. It took me 2 hours to be able to through security to see him. My brother was left in pain for hours before they took an X ray, found no major injuries, and discharged him with some pain killers later that day.(thank goodness for good gear protecting him) this Visit has a paper cost of $50,000!!! Terrible care, exorbitant prices, and security that is way too strict

Is this the worst hospital within 300 miles? Whoever runs this place and even works here should be ashamed.

Don’t go here as a stroke patient. They will assume you can wait and push you aside. Luckily the patient was transported to a more worthy hospital where it was found he had another form of a stroke that can only be seen via MRI.

A stroke victim did not receive the proper immediate care, and it almost cost him big-time! By the grace of God his family transferred him in their own vehicle because the emergency transfer they requested was taking hours, against doctor's orders, and drove him to Clevland Clinic where they immediately went into action and discovered a very serious overlooked ischemic stroke because they had not given him an MRI at Halifax. Halifax didn't provide proper care which could have easily impacted the rest of his life!

This is directed to Labor and Delivery. My daughter was pregnant. We just moved to Daytona from Brevard county, she had to drive back to brevard for her Dr appointments bc no Dr would see her here. So our visits to L&D were very short and dismissive. She was having contractions beginning at 36 weeks. DR. Duke saw her checked her cervix, stated she’s just having Braxton hicks. She came back two more times the final time bring 4/19/25 2:30pm (at this time she’s 38 weeks 1day), Contracting 2 minutes apart since 11pm the night before. Dr. Duke again walks in, “oh you’re back again huh?” Checks cervix say, “no change.” My daughter had preeclampsia with her first pregnancy. I asked them to check her urine for protein they proceed to tell me they don’t test for every patient there are no symptoms. Mind you her feet are swollen look like they are going to burst. No her BP is not elevated at that time. So I guess that was the reasoning behind it. So she holds out til her Dr appointment Monday in brevard county. They send her straight to the hospital because she has protein in her urine, get to the hospital she has a severe case of preeclampsia and have to be induced. Now this could have been caught earlier if they had checked her when I asked at Halifax. Every patient is different. Although she didn’t have all the signs you think you need for preeclampsia something could have seriously went wrong bc of their lack of concern. Bc she wasn’t screaming acting a fool in labor they dismissed her and dropped the ball on my child’s healthcare. Still in the hospital on IV magnesium. You ask for urine it should be routine to check it regardless of if you think you see no symptoms.
