Not good care in Deltona or Daytona. Too many workers on their cell phones. If your boyfriend is beating you they won't report it or help you. Good if you have a septic infection; they will treat that.

Came to ED for my family member. The nurse didn’t even mind to stop by the room to keep us updated with testing results, definitely put us at her lowest priority , I understand they have other cases , but patients and family members are usually anxious, especially in the emergency department . 4 hours in here and I have not even seen a doctor .

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a hospital. The day you get the bill is the day the collections calls you there's not even a way to speak to anybody unless you have a specific status

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.

Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.

Treatments

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Mental health and substance abuse treatment in Florida is offered by dual-diagnosis facilities that can provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. By integrating mental health, medical care, and therapeutic care, medical experts can effectively treat both co-occurring mental health conditions, stabilizing your mental health, and helping you learn vital skills to achieve long-term recovery.

1 Star My daughter visited the Emergency Department at Halifax Hospital today after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing. As a student attending a university in Daytona Beach and being away from family, she was already scared and vulnerable. Instead of receiving compassionate care, she was treated with what appeared to be complete indifference. The nurse was dismissive, nonchalant, and seemed uninterested in addressing her concerns. When she asked questions about her condition and treatment options, she felt ignored rather than cared for. Despite reporting chest pain and trouble breathing, the only treatment offered was cough tablets. There was little communication, little empathy, and no effort to make her feel heard or reassured. As an African-American family, we left this experience feeling that her concerns were not taken seriously and questioning whether she would have been treated differently if she were someone else. Whether intentional or not, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and patient-centered care was unacceptable. This happened today, and I am deeply disappointed. No patient—especially a young person alone and seeking emergency care—should ever feel dismissed when asking for help. I would not recommend Halifax Hospital’s Emergency Department based on our experience. “Patients may forget what you said, but they never forget how you made them feel. Today, Halifax Hospital’s Emergency Department made my daughter feel invisible.”

Went to ER on 5/6/26 after a motorcycle accident. Dr Kevin Gil was the doctor that treated me. He was the first person to speak to me. He was very concerned and compassionate about me. He said he would take good care of me and he did. I highly recommend him for any kind of care you need.

I would give below zero if I could more like -6, i came here in June of 2025 pregnant with twins and one of the babies waters broke and was only at 30 weeks so I had to be admitted and stay the girls decided that they were coming June 30th had c section everything went well or so I believed they released me July 2nd and July 3 I ended up back in the hospital advent in Palm coast with an ileus and septic. Advent called Halifax and asked if they would like to take me being the Dr there had done the procedure and they had been treating me for the past 20 days....Hailfax said NO that they could handle it now I know why!! My blood test showed i was getting septic june 27th!!! And they did nothing!! It's probably why I ended up going into labor. These people are complete idiots and should not be treating people! I had DR.BRADLY as my L&D person SHE IS THE WORST! NO EMPATHY NO CARE AND CLEARLY NEEDS TO LOSE HER LICENSE! Though in the labor and delivery area there were some really good nurses Maddie would come and say hi and check on me even though she wasnt my nurse at the time and Mrs.Pam the head nurse PROPS She was the little bit of good and hope in that place. Funny enough I asked her if she could do the c section instead of Dr Bradley 🤣 she was very caring and attentive and all around wonderful!
