Let me be clear here....there may be some errors in the following....but all is accurate and true, and nothing but a testament to the most true, relentless, and real actualization of a compassionate care program for the souls who face opioid use disorder on the daily, like myself. there is not one person, who in the throes of addiction, would be better off at any other threshold of any other door in Volusia county. Anywherel. Jenna Spurlock, the NEW program director, is absolutely and without a doubt not your orthodox, or stereotypical rehabilitation program overseer. Talk about a "franchise quarterback". (Tom Brady, for example). She is more kin to an angel, the way I see it. She has got a staff that has gone from what was once a high turnover, revolving door of mid level talents, and hit or miss with the social workers there to punch in, out, and then cash that check...is NOW an exemplary model of what I believe the opioid crisis in this country has a shot to be annoculated by. This hatchling program of Ms.Spurlock's design and engineering has turned around my life. And the life of more than a handful of the people in my life that I call friends, family, and acquaintances. A professional colleague, a school teacher, and multiple medical staff from other clinic types, beside our loved ones, everyday. This enables is to actually grow and live WITH our loved ones, whom at one time, in most cases, relationships became severely damaged via opioid addiction. Also using a blocker as sometimes they're referred to, these medicines like methadone actually keep people like me from experiencing any reward when we attempt a relapse. Keeping us safe in relapse...anf reducing and clearing all cravings ultimately. Yes, I have experienced this, on my life. What does the program look like to someone coming in, walk-in off the street? Well, I know the earlier the better for a walk in, but they'll always take ya if they physically, possibly can. YOU EILL BE DOSED THAT DAY...WITHDRAWAL WILL BE EASED, without a doubt. The induction process is aggressive and faster than anywhere else, so true physical addicts, have a chance to break fentanyl's hold on the body mind and spirit. Accept most insurance and will work with you whatever it takes, to create your victory over opioid addiction. Jenna Spurlock....she was the first compassionate caregiver to those struggling in opioid addiction or abuse disorder, Ive ever met. She is the first I've ever known to propegate a program where the addiction is viewed in each situation, Independently if anyone else's, and even the complexity of partnerships and spousal pairs who want to kick fentanyl to the curb. First and foremost I was able to avoid the withdrawal, and let time begin to heal my mind body and soul. Second the money I no longer spend in dope, has allowed me to get back on the horse in my career, and begin to rebuild what id lost long ago, at the hands of fentanyl, heroin, and the man in the mirror. The staff is not the revolving group of new faces it used to be. There's no line to get in. Jenna works this sense of verbal jiujitsu to disarm the enemy within most of us, holding ourselves hostage at needle point, if you will...and accessing our higher potentials through processes that she is the master of, and her staff of social working professionals and counselors, medical doctors and nurses distribute this ed, techniques, and care to the patient masses... they're best nurses; sweetest, nicest, most patient, easy vibing, and cute to boot. The easiest most supportive route to effective counseling, medication assisted treatments (i.e. m'th'done, subs) good social workers and a support system not nearly as large, but far more formidable than the current systems keeping the dark side of the drug biz running. Don't get me wrong, treatment starts and ends with YOU. never before though have I, a freelance, less than timid, extroverted, traveling musician gotten to look myself in my reflection's sober eyes, and tell me how much I love me. Jenna and her team showed me why.

Personally, I went to RAP in the midst of an awful drug addiction and this place saved my life, going back onto the previous reply about how the staff didn’t treat us well can be very misinterpreted. I found that some of my fellow clients thought the staff would be mean or seem to not care about our mental stability but what they aren’t realizing is that the staff are harsh for a reason. They do it out of love and although it may seem as though they just don’t care. When the staff were somewhat “harsh” to me or I’d get in trouble there, THAT is when I would do the most changing. Future clients can’t just expect it to me sunshine and butterflies all of the time, this is rehab, you are trying to overcome drug addiction and to me, I would have never been able to do it without them. With that being said, I highly recommend the Residential Adolescences Program. To the parents of those who are suffering, don’t give up. This could be your child’s last chance.

I dialed the Daytona Beach Detox Helpline on a whim and ended up surprised by how down-to-earth the person on the other end was. Instead of feeling like I was in some scripted call-queue, it felt like talking to someone who genuinely cared and knew how confusing all this can feel. They didn’t press me to “sign up” right away — just helped me map out what my next step could look like. If you’re in that “what do I actually do next?” place, this helpline was a calming first step.

I am required by the courts to attend meetings at Hearthstone Fellowship Foundation. At first I was angry and felt like I was being milked by the state and county. After three or four meetings my sentiments began to change and my addiction had become more and more obvious to me. As I began to accept my predicament, I nolonger was able to blame others or act as if it was all in their heads. Now several moths into the treatment offered by Hearthstone, I have opened up and started to change the destructive patterns dominating my life. I finally feel like I might stand a chance at real recovery. None of this would of been possible without the guidance of one person, Gail Wall, M.S. She has went out of her way to help me even when no one else would listen or believe that I was trying. I've been plagued with many health problems and my attendance was very challenging but she trusted in what I had to say and gave me the helping hand that has led me to welcome Recovery for the first time in my 30 year descent into chemical dependency. Thank you Gail. You are literally the best!!!

Hearthstone has some truly amazing people who it’s obvious that their work means a lot to them. They truly truly want to help people who want it and allow people who need help to leverage them. They have guided me and continue to, and keep it 💯 % upfront and transparent and sincere when it comes to what is expected. If there is a perfect combination of professional but also on a personal level, they nail it. It may not be their official motto or formal bottom line but they definitely exude a “we will help you when you don’t know how to help yourself type mentality; just Keep showing up, stay honest and leverage us and we can help you get to clear horizons! Special thanks and acknowledgments to Miss Gail and Janet! Miss Gail who runs groups that always have a focus but can be enjoyed and engaged in. She created a safe space for me come and talk, engaged and learn, and be myself , be the flawed human I am. I should also mention her genuine interest in my life and progress as a person not just a counselor who checks off a progress sheet. Miss Janet who has provided wise and judgement free counsel, in addition took the time out of her day without any notice to sit and talk with me for however long I needed when I lost my brother to an overdose January 11th of this year. Her insight and perspective were not only helpful (understatement) but gave me a deeper understanding and peace. I have so much gratitude for this very special place. I can’t say enough.. but think I already have! Thank you!

My 35-year-old daughter has suffered from Bipolar schizoaffective disorder, experiencing severe psychosis and mania since she was a young adult. The SMA Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Volusia County has been there for her in the darkest moments of her life. The caring, supportive, and professional personnel have provided treatment, medication and psychotherapy to help her manage the manic episodes. At least once a year my daughter has experienced a severe mental health crisis episode, and every time SMA CSU has provided a safe, secure environment to help stabilize and then return home. There is no other place in Volusia County providing the services like the SMA CSU successfully provides.

I can only speak from personal experience coming out of the psych unit but everyone from the nurses, emts, and doctors really made it seem like I was cared for. I’ve been to other hospitals but they always treated me like an inconvenience. Some if not most, seemed like they actually heard and understood me & ultimately wanted me to get the best help possible. Lana specifically was a very kind, wonderful person & I can’t thank her enough for the support and encouragement she showed me. Though sometimes I had to remind them to do things & maybe they got annoyed, I knew they ultimately had good intentions. As long as you’re not a jerk & being nice to them, they’ll treat you well.

I moved here from our of state so I had to start all over in finding a new Provider in psychiatry. SMA was able to keep me on the same medication because I've been on the same 3 meds for 9 years and they didn't try to change them by adding something or taking some away. I know what works best for me. They took care of everything I needed help with even outside the doctor's office. They had me in and out, helped me through the process and answered every question I had. Right after I saw the Dr I was able to get my medicine from an on-site pharmacy. Thank you so much!

Hands-down, the best experience I’ve had ever with a dermatology office. The front desk staff was amazing over the phone and in person. Lia and Mia were professional, patient, friendly, and helpful. Whoever answers your phone and is the first person you see in an office makes a difference. Unfortunately, the majority of doctors offices today don’t have the kind of staff that this place has. Marissa in the back was very patient and thorough. I barely waited 2 minutes which was fantastic. Stella was a great nurse practitioner, patient with all my questions and did my body check with dignity with proper eyewear and lighting (that has never happened at my prior derms office). She provided a lot of helpful suggestions and a prescription for future use for a concern I have. She also cared about my medical history and ensuring my safety and skin health. If I needed to suggest what green flags to look for in a medical practice it would be everything this place is. The facility is also clean and kept up with. I can’t say anything negative at all! I’ve been so happy with my initial appointment and shared their information with other people. Thank you for a great first appointment and for being so much better than what’s out there. I was dreading this due to other practices I’ve been to but you exceeded my expectations thank you to your amazing team!

I didn’t go through residential, but I want to say this clearly: if someone needs that level of care, or PHP, or IOP it is worth it. What I found at La Amistad is powerful enough that I would recommend the entire continuum without hesitation. When I first walked into IOP, I was carrying more than anyone could see. I had just lost my dad a wound that cut into every part of my identity. Grief wasn’t just sadness; it was confusion, loneliness, and feeling like the ground had disappeared under me. I didn’t know where to put those emotions. I didn’t know how to make sense of the memories, the guilt, or the silence that grief brings. Then I met Violeta, my therapist in IOP. She didn’t just help me understand my pain she helped me understand myself. She gave me the space and the tools to face what I had been avoiding for years. She helped me see where my survival patterns came from and how to replace them with healthier ones. That alone cracked something open in me. When I transitioned into the alumni group, everything changed again. I met Alyssa and Corey, and for the first time in a long time, I felt something I didn’t even realize I was missing: community. Real people who understood struggle. Real people who didn’t judge. Real people who showed up. The alumni group became the place where I learned to speak without filtering myself. Where I stopped pretending I was “fine.” Where I realized I wasn’t alone, and I didn’t have to carry everything by myself anymore. It helped me grieve with support instead of isolation. It helped me rebuild self-worth instead of self-blame. It helped me create a new identity rooted in healing, not in trauma. This community became my anchor. It gave me structure, purpose, accountability, and people who genuinely care. It helped me regain confidence, discipline, and the belief that I’m allowed to grow past what I’ve survived. Losing my dad broke me open, but being here helped me rebuild. And not as the old version of myself trying to “be strong,” but as someone who is finally grounded, supported, and choosing healing every day. I’m grateful for the therapists who guided me, the peers who walked alongside me, and the space that allowed me to feel safe enough to change. This experience didn’t just help me survive it gave me back the life I thought I had lost. Forever grateful.

This place has saved my life. As an addict they have taught me how to avoid relapse and how to deal with stress and life situations that caused my addiction to begin. One of the worse clinics I have ever bin to I’m from n.j I had lived in Miami for 2 years I had went to north miami comprehensive so I figured they where under the same umbrella so I chose them because I knew the name have my clinic send over the paper work they tell me the day rate witch in ever clinic it has bin the same 12-15 a day usually so I called weeks before to confirm all this info it was all confirmed my paper work had bin sent good to go right? So I get there yesterday they have my paper work things are going fine then they said actually it’s double the price 26 a day I’m like what how I called to confirm this info no where on your pricing sheet on the main window does the price even exist no so I’m like why the up charge I don’t see any pricing they said well it’s because your clinic isn’t in the realm of clinics we deal with so it’s more but I said I’m not paying with insurance so why would that affect the price at all? Never in all my years they had no Awnser on why at this point it had bin so long and I have to be at work and I’m not feeling good it was str8 extortion because at that point it was to late to pivot what if I didn’t have the extra 75 I would of just bin sick? No where where these prices displayed or why would it matter where I came from if I’m paying out of pocket n if this was a possible outcome why wouldn’t they tell over the phone that it could possible happen not written anywhere bin in the clinic for years never heard or seen anything like this str8 crooks

***** MUST READ / MUST READ / DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY***** This establishment needs to be audited and then shut down ASAP. If you are trying to get clean I commend you. If you are doing it through this establishment I feel so so bad for you. I used to go to this place 5 years ago. At the time I did not have insurance so I had to pay in cash up front. Being I really great with keeping up with bills I opted to deposit 500 Dollars in my account with them ahead of time so I wouldn't have to worry about making sure I had the money on a daily basis. Florida's elite, the ones who run everything in the shadows forced to me have to leave Florida for good and move to Virginia. Before I left I went in to the facility for the last time, told them I was moving and asked them to refund the remaining 244 dollars I had in the account. They told me they couldn't just do that because they didn't have cash like that on hand right away and would need to issue me a check within the next 2 weeks. I wasnt hard up for money so I agreed. I gave them the address I was moving to and asked for them to mail it to me. That was 5 years ago. I have been attempting to get this check ever since. About a month ago they finally called me and informed me they had the check on hand and just needed me to sign some paperwork and it would be sent right away. I signed paperwork and waited. This was 2 weeks prior to Christmas and now I'm completely broke and desperately need that check. So I'm excited I would be able to buy my fiance a Xmas present. Well as per usual the check never came. Now it is jan 8th and still haven't seen the check. I call them today and now I'm furious. I've been extremely patient and kind when dealing with this situation. When I called today I was told they were waiting for a form from FedEx to mail the check to me. Well I know they are lying now. How hard is it to put that check into an envelope and mail it to me. Apparently this check must require a super genius to get it to me and no one on earth is smart enough to handle it. They hung up on me today because I demanded an explanation. I think someone in their office has a drug problem and has stolen my money and they are doing anything and everything to avoid admitting fault. It's been over 5 years. MAIL ME MY FXCKING CHECK!!!!!! *****Update****** After reading reviews about Jason and the similarities with my own issue I decided something needs to be done.... So I did some research and discovered that they have a parent company called Acadia Healthcare that requires all facilities to comply with code of conduct and ethics. Jason is about to get a rude awakening and very possibly going to be facing jail time. This ex "Junkie" just proved we matter and people who take advantage, steal, and abusively use people who are less fortunate don't deserve to direct anything other than their behavior behind bars.

I came to Recovery Keys via a referral from the lead detox physician at the University of Florida. At that point, I was unable to even drive. My main addiction was alcohol. The program I entered into takes a three hundred sixty degree approach to the treatment alcohol and drug addiction. They use a complete approach, under the direction of physicians and addictionologists. Early on, I was not the easiest, most cooperative patient. As time went on, and with a great amount of patience and encouragement, I made substantial progress in controlling my addiction and actually understanding the root causes in order to carve out a new life. Around me I saw amazing progress among the other patients. The amount of knowledge, patience and caring at this facility is incredible. I am getting my life back and cannot express my gratitude enough to do justice to the program and all of those involved. Thank you.

I had my visit lab work, 01/09/2020 and my first doctor visit 01/10/2020, the reception, respect and care almost brought to tears. This is the first time since being enrolled in VA since 1985 that I was made to feel my service and sacrifices were truly appreciated. The reception received from Deborah Lincoln who checked me in, to LPN Paige Smith who took my vitals and recorded my medical history and my doctor, Dr. Deepali Agralwal was the finest and best ever received. My gratitude and thanks to them and all the care providers, technicians and staff, my undying gratitude from a very grateful Vietnam Veteran.

Highly recommended for both therapy and psychological evaluations. The team took time to understand my concerns, explained the assessment process in a way I could easily follow, and provided clear, helpful results. Their insight helped shape my treatment plan and opened new doors for support.

This practice changed my life. I was struggling with depression and had tried therapy elsewhere with little success. The combination of psychotherapy and neurofeedback here has been nothing short of miraculous. The environment is warm, the clinicians are top-notch, and I always feel heard.
