The IOP program here is amazing, would highly recommend it to anyone continuing on in their recovery journey. Lyma is an awesome therapist, in the group setting and in one on one sessions. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you. The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery.

By far the WORST REHAB IVE EVER BEEN TO! This is a step down from jail. I’ve been in prisons that were more comfortable than this place. The medical staff is incompetent, the techs are ignorant and disrespectful. They discharged me for speaking up and talking back to them how they talk to us for once and then threw me out on the curb. “Michele” the lead night tech, Made me walk 3 suitcases, 2 book bags and a gym bag full of shoes out in the rain and across the street to the “Raceway”. Just to show me once more, “Who was in charge” Even when I called my ride and had them confirm they’d be here in 20 minutes! This is the type of treatment you can expect at this place! this place doesn’t care about its clients. It’s all about money. DO NOT GO HERE! They’re abusing clients and medically mis medicating people. Go elsewhere!

My fiance was baker acted here. He went in voluntarily, but he was hoping that by doing that he would get the help he needs. He didn't. First off, they put on file he was involuntarily commited when he, in fact, surrendered himself willingly and the doctor, Anne Hart to be exact, told myself and him that she put it as a voluntary surrender. Second, when they admitted him they put him in a tiny room with NOTHING in it for four hours. He had a mental break during that time. They told him he would not be alone at all while in there, but he was. They left him alone for FOUR HOURS! Then, they tried to push more pills and meds on him when he does not need more medication. He needs a higher dose of what he is already on. Thankfully he refused. He told them he just really needed a therapist to talk to, but did they give him one? No! He is miserable there. The conditions these people are in are horrendous. And during visitation, I was yelled at for holding his hand. I'm his fiancee, the love of his life. To not let me simply hold his hand when he is hurting and needs/asks for my support and comfort is horrible. I will NEVER bring him back here and I will tell people to keep their loved ones away from here and tell people to find help somewhere else. This place is a jail, not a place for people to get better.

Palm Point offers IOP (Intensive Outpatient) Group Therapy in Brevard County, that is hands down the best and most beneficial program I have ever experienced. This incredibly well organized and ran group (thank you Miss Ziggy, Miss Dawn & Miss Marilyn) has assisted me through a most difficult psychological distressing and dark time in my life. Both the staff and group members give you their compassion, understanding and support in such a way it can turn your life around; heading you towards incredibly better days. You can express yourself in a safe environment while learning coping skills, behavior modification, determination of if psychotropic medications are necessary and overall wellness of mind, body and spirit. My opinion is NO stigma and ALL pro-active in regards to mental health in the day and age we live in (especially post-Covid shutdown & it's effects). If you feel even the slightest doubt about how you feel and or thinking patterns? Set "what others think" completely aside, invest in your own wellness and health and attend Palm Point IOP. I am thankful beyond measure that is is open and available.

Everything was great less a few staff members that should not be working with people that are already feeling down. There are always a few that seem to make bad things worse. However, there are others that are there to pick you back up. Thank goodness for those and the fact that there are more good employees than bad (Cassie!) that make up for the sour bunch. If you don’t like being nice to those that need kind words… maybe get a different job? Cassie was mean to everyone just about. Couldn’t take a joke and was just salty. Not a good fit, how did she even get that job? Everyone I talked to had a gripe. Why’s she still there? Why hasn’t she been coached on here behavior? I don’t understand why she’s allowed to continue with this attitude? She laughed at a man that fell out of his wheelchair! Overall, did I get better? Yes. Would I recommend? Yes. Would I go again? Yes. However, there are people I would report immediately and that I would absolutely avoid.

My thoughts on this treatment center definitely exceeded my initial expectations. Towards the beginning, I found myself being resistant and later found friendships . I truly felt loved and personally cared for. I had the best friendships and will continue to be inspired by the staff. After my ten days at Summit, I was taken to the Transformation Treatment Center where I met some of the coolest staff like Daniel and De Andra, who made me feel extremely cared about. They truly exceeded my expectations and gave me a sense of relief with the amount of support and love they showered me with. Through transformation, I was able to meet Milo, Brittany, and the list goes on. While being in treatment, I picked up some new skills with some new experiences like sound therapy , yoga and attend church, which I truly loved. Overall, everyone I met and got to experience this with was great. With the help of transformation, I’m able to have a positive view of the future. I had the opportunity to meet new technicians like Bri, who is so special to me. These few are so driven and care about their jobs so much that it motivates me to want to come back and share my experience. They truly made it feel like a vacation while away from home, and with their down-to-earth hearts and minds, they truly made me want to surround myself with like-minded people. At first, my expectations were very scary, but Bri, the lead technician, made me feel very welcomed, loved, and important. My therapist, Dee, case manager, Keya, and nursing staff made me feel like I would be able to sustain life outside of transformation, especially because the majority of them took the time out to make me feel special. My first day, I was ready to go home, but by the days leading up to the end, I pretty much wanted to extend. This support gave me life lessons, goals, nurture, and new beginnings that I’ll forever be grateful for. With the foundation of TTC, I have now incorporated prayer, daily affirmation, listening, and acceptance into my life. This is not a reflection, but a thank you to all the people who have made Matthew a better Matt. The impact that I have been left with from October 10th until November is extraordinary, and I’m forever grateful.

Hearthstone Fellowship Foundation, founded in Daytona Beach, Florida, is a licensed drug rehab providing substance abuse services to individuals needing outpatient and inpatient drug and alcohol recovery treatment. I am required by the courts to attend meetings at Hearthstone Fellowship Foundation. At first I was angry and felt like I was being milked by the state and county. After three or four meetings my sentiments began to change and my addiction had become more and more obvious to me. As I began to accept my predicament, I nolonger was able to blame others or act as if it was all in their heads. Now several moths into the treatment offered by Hearthstone, I have opened up and started to change the destructive patterns dominating my life. I finally feel like I might stand a chance at real recovery. None of this would of been possible without the guidance of one person, Gail Wall, M.S. She has went out of her way to help me even when no one else would listen or believe that I was trying. I've been plagued with many health problems and my attendance was very challenging but she trusted in what I had to say and gave me the helping hand that has led me to welcome Recovery for the first time in my 30 year descent into chemical dependency. Thank you Gail. You are literally the best!!!

Hearthstone has some truly amazing people who it’s obvious that their work means a lot to them. They truly truly want to help people who want it and allow people who need help to leverage them. They have guided me and continue to, and keep it 💯 % upfront and transparent and sincere when it comes to what is expected. If there is a perfect combination of professional but also on a personal level, they nail it. It may not be their official motto or formal bottom line but they definitely exude a “we will help you when you don’t know how to help yourself type mentality; just Keep showing up, stay honest and leverage us and we can help you get to clear horizons! Special thanks and acknowledgments to Miss Gail and Janet! Miss Gail who runs groups that always have a focus but can be enjoyed and engaged in. She created a safe space for me come and talk, engaged and learn, and be myself , be the flawed human I am. I should also mention her genuine interest in my life and progress as a person not just a counselor who checks off a progress sheet. Miss Janet who has provided wise and judgement free counsel, in addition took the time out of her day without any notice to sit and talk with me for however long I needed when I lost my brother to an overdose January 11th of this year. Her insight and perspective were not only helpful (understatement) but gave me a deeper understanding and peace. I have so much gratitude for this very special place.
