My experience at La Amistad was life-changing. Even though it was only for 30 days , it was the most effective . All the BHT's treated me as a human not as one who struggled with addiction. When I needed to talk, all the staff would stop what they were doing and simply be there! My therapist Michael was the greatest. My husband just came back from a 5 day program and it had been more effective then any of the counseling that he had gone to prior to this. He has tried other therapist and nothing has worked better then this. This is worth the time and investment to do- I highly recommend it. It’s like having months of therapy put into 5 days. They also help you follow up with contacts after you are home- which is a tremendous help as well.
