About Lead Recovery Center

Lead Recovery Center in Costa Mesa, California, is a behavioral health facility that offers treatment for addiction and mental health disorders. Some of the programs available at this location include the residential treatment program and the intensive outpatient program. Clients who don’t have insurance can pay for services through a discounted private pay rate.

Residential Treatment Close to Local Amenities

One of the great things about Lead Recovery Center is that it’s close to various local amenities in the Costa Mesa area. Martin Aviation Museum is a few steps from the facility, and just across the Costa Mesa Highway are numerous restaurants and shopping centers you can potentially enjoy. The organization keeps a low number of clients at the facility to ensure you get the individualized treatment you need.

Treatment services that are used to help you heal from addiction include adventure therapy and the life skills program. The staff will schedule activities outside of the facility each weekend, such as hiking, fishing, or other activities. The goal of these experiences is to help you develop more trust in yourself to build a life of sobriety.

It can also encourage you to explore new activities you can enjoy without using substances. Some of the things you can consider doing in Costa Mesa include relaxing at TeWinkle Park or checking out the Orange County Museum of Art.

Life Coaching To Build a Healthy Lifestyle

All clients will be able to work with a life coach at the facility. Your life coach will help you identify the goals you have for your career, relationships and other areas in your life. You’ll receive specific exercises to do and get consistent support as you work to build a healthy lifestyle.

My son went to Lead Recovery and he had an amazing case worker! Roger, was very kind and caring and did everything he could to give my son all the tools he needed. Unfortunately, my son needed a higher level of care, so it didn t work out for him there, however, it was not for lack of care or trying! Roger went above and beyond! I was very impressed with both his level of communication and compassion! The staff was great overall!

I have struggled with addiction for the better part of 15 years and have been to countless different treatment centers and detox's . The six bed detox /RTC program they have a long with with seeing the same lead staff members on daily basis makes the treatment very personal allowing for a grate deal of individualized treatment all the staff at LEAD recovery took me i when I was a chemically dependent, scared, and totally defeated and believed in me when I had nothing to offer but potential. There's a lot that can be said about every member of the the team at LEAD recovery as well as the incredible facility but even more importantly helped save my life when I had lost the will to do so my self I owe the whole team a debt I could never repay

Accepted Insurance

Lead Recovery Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

This program is amazing!!! The staff is caring, attentive, and truly have passion for what they do. From dealing with mental issues to teaching you about substance abuse. They give you the tools and knowledge to succeed. Give you many options for next level of treatment and help you get there. Gym 3 times a week, outside AA meetings, in-house panels, zoo, the beaches, and putt putt golf are only a few of the activities we did. Amazing case worker, house manager, and all staff (unless you're a Cowboys fan 😆 (jk))! Awesome therapist and psychiatrist! The facility is really nice and clean too. Nice pool with fruit trees all around! 10/10 recommend. I could go on for an hour on why this place is amazing, intimate, and spot on what I needed. Overall, I am sincerely greatful for this program and would recommend to anyone wanting to turn your life around. Thank you for all your help JT, Ruthie, Roger, James, Karena, Patrick, Megan, Shaun, Dr.Sarah and Katherine! I couldn't have done it without y'all. Much respect and gratitude!
