Best place ever!!

1 year ago today I made the 5 hour one way drive in a blizzard to drop my love off. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. To drop him off in a parking lot and turn around and leave without him, broke my heart. But here we are 1 year later stronger than ever celebrating his sobriety thanks to the kindness and compassion from the staff at Bear River. They made everything as smooth as possible and we are forever grateful for the role they played in Joshua's recovery. I would recommend them to anyone needing to make this very hard life change.

I didn't go here a loved one did and they changed her life - and they still take calls and help almost a year later. It gets you thru the physical part it's on you to follow thru with the rest - if you truly want your life back the price is nothing compared to the daily habit. There is a very special place for the staff here they make you feel special and today that is priceless.

I recently went to ARD and the reviews you read are legit. I talked to Laura multiple times before I went and I was really nervous. She made me feel better about going and is super cool. Without her they may not have as many patients. A driver picked me up and took me back to the airport so they make everything pretty easy. I was on oxys then suboxone for 15 years after a car accident and was tired of how it made me angry at times and ruled my life and schedule. It helped contribute to ruining my relationship with my daughters mom and I just wanted off of it now. She was not very supportive either. It is a fast process for the worst of the withdrawals but you will need to follow their program when you get home. Frieda is great and adjusted my meds on the days I called. I've been home a month and I still have low energy and lethargy but I'm working through that with exercise. Laura keeps in contact with me and she truly cares about people. Pat is awesome and we had some great chats. I recommend going here if you are struggling. It wont be easy but if i can do it, you can too. Now I can enjoy my time with my kids and granddaughter. First, I want to say that this review isn’t based on my personal experience, but a friends who isn’t comfortable sharing their name on this platform. After months of research, he took a leap of faith and chose this center over a similar center in Florida that was double the price. Because he doesn’t have insurance, he had to come out of pocket so this obviously was the more practical option price wise, but also care wise. If you’re paying 5k+ for treatment out of pocket at a facility, you’re doing so because you want to know you’re in good hands and have a staff of people who will be with you through the process. Releasing someone after 24 hours to a hotel room with active monitoring just doesn’t seem right when you’re paying 20k+ for a treatment (the other facility doesn’t accept insurance either). Of course, rehabs want to make money- a business is a business. But that doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t be treated with respect and quality care. The staff here, on the other hand, supported him the entire time and made sure he got the care he needed. He is 6 months sober now! The treatment isn’t by any means “easy” but Rome wasn’t built in a day. No treatment is going to be easy to break the shackles of addiction, you have to want your sobriety and to be free. If you don’t want it, no treatment will save you from going back and using. But if you want it, then this place is a no brainer. You will feel some exhaustion, maybe even a lack of motivation but the important thing is to get up and move around. All of that will balance itself out. Take vitamins before and after your procedure, and thank God for another day! I am currently saving up to come here for my own treatment from an Oxy addiction, and will update my review from my personal experience once I have.

Excellent rehab program and caring staff! They offer multiple levels of care to fit any needs. They have transitional housing close to the downtown Petoskey area and within walking distance to employment opportunities.

Mountainside Ramsey has proven to be a fantastic step down treatment options for clients leaving our care. The outreach and admissions department are so easily to work with each and every time. Clients have also spoken so highly of the quality of the groups, keeping them engaged the entire treatment process.

Mountainside Treatment Center is a great place for recovery I highly recommend it wonderful staff and the place is very clean and neat. I love Amy she is on the counselors there she is super sweet and she can teach and help you grow as a new person in recovery she has helped me so much. I highly recommend her as a counselor!

All of the staff at this program go above and beyond for their clients, and truly care. Amy is amazing also!

I had the opportunity to work at skywood several years ago. It was a great experience that taught me many working lessons that stick with me today. Also a very beautiful location.

I was so impressed with Skywood in so many ways. My husband went through Skywood and not only has it given him his life back, but they were so supportive all along the way and even after discharge. Although we had some challenges with our insurance, Skywood was so helpful in walking us through the ups and downs with our insurance company and making sure my husband got the care he needed. Thanks Skywood!

Skywood saved my life. The treatment is fantastic if you give it a chance. The staff is kind and caring and they really set you up for success after you leave. I just celebrated 6 years of sobriety and truly don’t think I would have gotten to this point without the tools and knowledge gained from Skywood.

This place provides the right tools to stay sober. I'm glad to have had their support in my journey.

The therapist were very knowledgeable, they were a joy to be around and made you feel comfortable, I can't say who's my favorite because there are so many!!!

An excellent place to go if you have an out of control addiction and need help. Or if you just fell off and need a hand getting back up. Friendly staff, smoke breaks, ample time to socialize and work out our problems amongst ourselves... the place is amazing. And welcoming to people that return. We can't all always get it right on the first go around. Sometimes it takes two, three, four... hell, even thirty tries. But admitting that there's a problem and working to fix it is the first step. And this place is an excellent resource if you need that kind of help. I'm also an atheist. If you're worried about going to a church-affiliated group, don't be. They take a light touch with religion (mostly stuff in the daily readings), and try to be open to everyone. Same goes for LGBTQ+ folk: this is a safe place. If you need help, these folks are who you need to get started

This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I’ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I’ll say this: Brighton isn’t the nicest facility, they don’t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome 👏 Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I Was a patient here 5 years ago I started drinking at the age of 14 and got into other stuff at 19. I didn't know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Even after being shipped out to the hospital after 2 weeks they let me back in and gave me the tools and advice to start my recovery process. Thankful and Grateful ❤️

Best experience for recovery in the state in my opinion. Food is great, plenty of activities, outside time, basketball and other enjoyable options. The classes were amazingly enjoyable and informative. The staff and cooks were always helpful , kind. They offer AA or NA meetings. If you’re struggling with any substance abuse you owe it to yourself to at least check them out. Don’t hesitate to start your journey to sobriety. You’ll thank yourself later.

This program saved my life and I would recommend to anyone serious about getting their life back and opioid addiction under control and treated. Also with no vehicle atm this program being is over zoom video and makes it a life saver in another way. I could keep going just check them out and hopefully this saves someone just like it has saved me to me. 7yrs today 🤟🏼

The online app is a game changer for people. I only wish this could have been around back in the day, there would be allot of people still here if this type of thing was around back then

I always felt embarrassed. Being at a place Where people know you're a drug addict.But this place is nothing like that treat you just like You are. A normal person Tiffany is great.Does everything to make you feel comfortable when you visit And any problem you have, she solves it. In the owner Doctor and Counselors. Are very professiono entreat you with the utmost respect. If you have any disagreements with anything, they take the time sit down with you. And figure it out and they made you feel like your family. Best place ever I never felt so comfortable Taking the steps to be clean I don't think there's one place that can Even come. Remotely Close to these professional people

Enjoy giving food to the Salvation Army instead of throwing away. I lost my wife recently and had more food than I could eat, so I called them and they was very nice on the phone where to drop the food off, when I arrived, they brought a cart out food put on cart and off I went. Will donate again. If you can, donate once in awhile.

The people are are great and the food they gave me was really appreciated when I had none.

A true blessing for me and my family. Great staff! Great classes! Good food! Overall great experience.

My counselors and staff were helpful in my recovery

I love all the staff at Meridian! It's a very homely place! Crystal was the best counselor and just got 5-years sobriety herself! Kim the MT is so sweet and nice. I was there from 4-24-2025 to 5-15-25!

Sacred Heart started me on my recovery journey giving me the tools I needed to get sober and stay sober. I hit my 90 days sober in about 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be more happy or proud. I’m so, so, so grateful for what Sacred Heart did for me. Shout out to staff Leslie, Trish, Jessica, Tom, Johnny, Margaret, Joe and Tom#2, Elizabeth, nurses Jane and Jim.. the therapists are amazing (all of them except Maria, she’s awful) the peer recovery coaches are amazing, love the nursing staff, y’all took good care of us. I love you all and maybe I’ll come back one day to help my fellow addicts. Anyone thinking of getting sober and trying to find a good rehab, this is the one, you won’t regret it!!

Scared at first. But eventually opened up and took suggestions. I ACTUALLY LEFT WITH A CERTIFICATE OF GRADUATION. SADLY LIFE, LIFES! & IM GOING BACK FOR A SECOND TIME. BECAUSE IK THERE ACTUALLY TRYING TO HELP AND UNDERSTAND. YOU HAVE TO BE OPEN FOR CHANGE. IF YOU FALL GET BACK UP🫶 I LOVD THE STAFF AND THE FOOD🙏 LOL.

I’ve been through 3 therapists at this clinic, they were very nice people. The service is great, the ladies at the desks are always kind and helpful. Only things I would say is that sometimes the therapists go against your opinions and judgement and make you feel out of place or out of control. BUT all of my experiences here have been pleasant. Loved my past two therapists, Mattie DeBoe (no longer a therapist, moved to higher position) and Kelly anthi. Compared to pine rests outpatient/inpatient care facility, this place is paradise. Their inpatient and outpatient facility has many many issues with the inpatient and resident facilities, the outpatient facilities are very helpful and welcoming, quite opposite of the inpatient.

Very Friendly and Professional. Felt very comfortable with everyone. Laura Felton is my Dr. I feel comfortable and welcome anyplace I go and She is there. She is a Awesome Dr.

Clean , wonderful hospital , a Lotta construction going on but they hide it very well. Awsome staff from top to bottom.
