The majority of the employees there care about the residents. It's clean, they make sure your withdrawals are not too bad. When u 1st arrived you will be in detox 3 days or so then go over to the residents side for 29 days. The rooms have 2 to 3 people in it with its own shower/bath. Breakfast is 7, lunch 11, dinner 4 and a snack at 8. If you're too sick to go to the dining area they will bring it to your room. Mondays and Tuesday are your long days you're in meetings from 9am to 10pm. Group meetings are mandatory every day 9-11. Church is on Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday. They will help u get on your feet so u can survive when u get out. Oh and the men monitors are cute too, i know one resident who has started messing around with one recently. But the majority of them are not like that. It's a spiritually grounded place where God is first. Oh and you get to keep your phone and smoke whenever you want to. Let's see what else , Oh the food is good now it wasn't when I 1st got there but we complained about it at our weekly meeting and it has improved, a lot! As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best around, but I've only been to one other Christian guidance center, i caught COVID there. I was only there for 2 weeks but they never took my vitals when I was there. And Harbor Light checks them every 4 hours when you're in detox. And once you have completed everything you will get a certificate and a coin. Oh and u have to drop weekly, Oh and they also have a medical mobile unit that comes every Thursday iu need blood work or whatever done. Everyone was so nice on my intake day. I love the doctor I seen (I don't remember his name, but he was really tall and he had brown hair and only comes in on Mondays) The lady at the front desk was so welcomed and nice I think her name is lila and Melissa is incredibly funny and helpful. My overall experience was just great. They explained everything perfectly and was more than welcoming. It feels like a breath of fresh air coming from what I came from previously. It’s a lovely clinic, but I don’t plan on being here for a year after the year. I've been to other treatment centers but Nardin Park outclasses them all by leaps and bounds. The staff has a friendly but no nonsense attitude which I appreciate. They are professional and caring at the same time. For someone like me that is here for treatment and not a "Social Club", NPRC is the place to be!!! Well, it's 2023 and time for a life change. Thanks to NPRC I have been "clean" for over 2 years. I feel that I am ready to take the next step in my life. Time to detox out of the program. I am so ready to move on. I learned a lot and most of the recovery coaches do care and want the best for the clients. There is a few things they need do need to work on and hope they do in the future- which was allowing some clients to continuesly break the rules and not sticking to their punishments. Many should have been kicked but werent and it started to affect the people that were there who really l wanted to get the help and followed the rules. It is when you have found yourself hopeless, lost and homeless and you have come to the last house on the block meaning you have lost everything and burned most or all you had. You have nothing and the only way to go is up. You are not owed anything. But it is a start from the streets. I even got moved out of my room to a better floor where it was coed and only nine people I’m a male .. I can definitely confirm you do gotta take medicine which I did not want to do but had to so I can get free they have a pharmacy there so you can get your meds when you leave. so far the medicine does help but I just have a anxiety problem If you have any bigger problems, I’m not sure if this place will be the way Lucky me I did not take a lot of help. I was willing after a bit. Doctors only stay for a second just a few questions and then that’s it. I find myself waking up early just so I can hope to see the doctors . Social workers is a bit hard to get but once again I believe they were really really busy. My second week there The social worker was much more there for me I’m a stay out of these type of places anyway, but it helped for the 11 days they have groups, music therapy, and a lot of sitting time. On my last day, one of the residence peed inside A container that had the water in it. They threw it out, but the resident was allowed to stay. That was a bit crazy, but that is indeed more on the Guy not being in his right mind.’m a laid-back person so it was a fine experience for me but if you fight cause the ruckus, they would drug you but once again, this was not a problem for me because I’m non-compatible . They gave me medication to change my thinking which I do think I need so they help me but I know the experience is gonna be different for others I would’ve never thought to rate this place because I went in, just thinking I needed help. I wasn’t thinking about the performance. I was more so thinking about me and how I can get out of there, but when I looked up this place, it has such a low rating. I feel like I had to defend it a little bit. The medicine made me cry at the movies forest gump we watched lol felt silly after. overall, it’s hard to rate places like this because it’s not supposed to be pleasant but for the issue I had I think they did fine They even drove me home after everything was done And I live very far away, one hour from this place . So I got helped and I’m alive so job good . The staff was real . They were normal people working a job but it still felt like they cared . One of the staff was talking to his baby mama and he explained during Group why , we were talking about triggers and he related a real problem to what we’re doing now and that is real it was easier to open up to cause he was human too . Staff is nice and they will give you extra food If you’re hungry I’m not a eater and they figure that out and have me milk ensures silk vanilla milk to help me eat more they had tacos spaghetti chicken Pepper steak French toast, ravioli pancakes cereall eggs, sausage ham that mad a bad situation better . They ask you want to eat for every meal . And they save your food if you sleep through dinner . Pretty good food ,while I’m trying to get my head right. and these little things the staff did help.when they have the time they keep you company by playing games with you. Another good distraction made me think less about being in there. The staff always gave me soap toothpaste new robs and they washed my clothes which I really appreciate because they were busy and they still had time to do that. I felt safe with their 15 min check ins with a beacon you have to wear . And when a fight broke out they were on immediately stopping it so I felt safe .its all type of people in there and it felt safe with the staff there . Every morning they had the on the news and they always ask what I wanted to watch. And on my last day I have the tv room to myself so it was really cool in a bad situation. The janitors kept it clean The music therapy had guitars and they played songs and we disused they lyrics one time we had Nintendo Wii . They do try to keep you busy and put the effort forward.
