Came in ER because my BP was out of control and severely dehydrated. They took me right away and I was very pleased with all of the staff from the ER to all of the different departments that needed to do my testing. Everyone from check in to discharge, doctor, PA, RN, including the people who transported me treated me with great respect and kindness.

Had a great experience with the entire staff! My 8yr old son needed help urgently, I live nearby and was aware of them, but usually went to my pediatrician with my son's issues, I wish I could remember all there names. From the gentleman at the intake, the nurse, the Dr. And the social worker. All were very kind, all seemed very caring and sensitive to my son's needs, they did more in 3 hours than 2 years of therapy, high price psychiatrists, and multiple visits to an ER did ever. Dr. VIJAYAKUMA, Thank you for the call to my pediatrician! And the consultation with her! Theresa, I think she’s the office manager, is the best. She does so much to try and coordinate everything for patients. From billing discrepancies to scheduling multiple therapists she takes care of it all. I would have gave up therapy if it wasn’t for her determination in making it work for my kids and myself. Make sure to find the right therapist for you. Cheryl is highly recommended by me for ANYONE; lovely lady. She has helped me with moving past my family and personal problems. Stacy was not a great experience for me. She treated me too childlike although I'm 17 and kept forgetting my details and had to check her notes for basic info on me. She also used a "get to know you" ball with questions for three sessions in a row while giving me no real help. She is probably more suited to older clients.

I was seen by Alan Griffith for 17 years off and on. I had several issues and went for depression and anxiety. He helped me so much especially when dealing with coworkers that took advantage of my people pleasing self. He was also a great help to myself and husband when it came to dealing with our young kids… up through the teenage years. When I met him, I didn’t even have a tool box let alone tools for figuring out problems. I had absolutely no self-esteem and he really helped me by giving me the acronym ICCIMOBI= I can choose in my own best interest. That if I was having a hard to saying no that I could say I would think about it then, figure a way out of it. He also taught me to always have plan A, B & C.= A I ask my friend to meet up with me to go see a movie, B if they can’t go, I could ask someone else or go alone, and plan C choose something to do just for myself to make me happy like arts or reading. This is something I still use till this day 17 years later, and I teach it to others. I consider myself totally blessed to have had such a great therapist. The psychiatrists were wonderful as well. The office staff back then was Sheryl or Lee at the front desk, they were ALWAYS so kind and helpful, my messages always got thru promptly. I highly recommend Alan Griffith .

I have been a client here for three years. The receptionist and front office staff have always been respectful and helpful. I have witnessed others giving them a hard time and being difficult. Respect is a two-way street.
Nicole Bryant is absolutely fabulous - I could not ask for a better therapist! Dr. Glitz and I discuss treatment options and we discuss her recommendations. She does run behind at times but I know that is because some clients need a bit more time than others and she is very thorough. I never feel rushed when I'm meeting with her.
Note: Mental health providers in Michigan are understaffed and stretched thin. Delays and wait times are common with almost every provider nowadays. Extending a little post-pandemic grace goes a long way.

This place is amazing!!! The entire staff of therapists are very knowledgeable and each bring something different to your recovery journey. As others have stated in the reviews, they truly changed my life and how I view my recovery. I cannot endorse and suggest this outpatient more. I’ve attended other IOP’s, but this facility is simple the best! I didn’t attend their inpatient, but I heard from my peers that it is also top notch. I’m back to work now, but I sometimes miss this place. Nothing but love and gratitude for Skywood!!!

Addicts do recover when they choose to!!!! Ty QBH for the tools to stay clean by making me go to group and therapy 🙌. Which made me start going to NA meetings. I believe in early recovery you gotta do 90/90. 90 meetings in 90 days to start change 😉😎. Remember to give yourself a break and get into NA to start working the steps of NA. The books how and why were my best tools. You must have a sponsor to work the steps. You can't do the steps alone because how do you know if you're doing them right 👍 and you'll have a friend forever.

This place is great, getting sober is not easy or fun and the only issue I have personally witnessed is that yes; all of thier staff cannot be in recovery or understand us addicts but they truly have made a huge effort to adapt to this new age in which you can get into a rehab basically for free, get decent if not really good food(DFD) and have the chance to.btreak old bad habits etc. Im 39 and when I first tried to get sober at 18 or so it was incredibly difficult to find a rehab that didn't cost 40K. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This place and ann arbor will keep you sober and help you recover for better or worse.

Well I’ve been using fetty over 10 years I’ve been on methadone for 2 years I still use fetty once in a while well maybe now about 2 times a week sometimes more I’ve really tried to kick it all I just want off of everything I’m desperate I’d like to no more about how this procedure goes because I see skit of people say it hurts an that it’s rough well isn’t being door sick the same thing so it makes me wonder what would be the point if your still going to feel bad ? This place is amazing. If you’re wondering coming from the streets doing bundles of dope if it’ll work, it will. From top to bottom these ladies made detox painless. I can’t thank them enough. This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I’ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I’ll say this:
Brighton isn’t the nicest facility, they don’t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome 👏
Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I didn't know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Even after being shipped out to the hospital after 2 weeks they let me back in and gave me the tools and advice to start my recovery process.

I had a great experience with therapy here. When I was through and wanted my notes and paperwork from my time there I called the place and was transferred to medical records where I left a message to return my call. My call was returned within the day and I was emailed my paperwork asap, no problem. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

i competed the adult PHP and i couldn’t be happier about my time at new oakland! i am a healthcare provider myself and the therapists, providers, and support staff are SO genuine and kind. being in a group therapy setting was a scary thought initially but i felt that it was a very safe space to share my experiences. i also enjoyed hearing other’s experiences as it helped to remind me that we are all going through similar issues in life. the therapists even completed the worksheets along side of us and shared their experiences about their own healing journeys which was reassuring. i’ve learned and grown so much during my time here and i am very appreciative of the employees who made it happen: zach, mara, michelle, amber and everyone else. ya’ll deserve a raise LOL. thank you!!! :)
